Chapter 43: The Fight for Her
Luca turned his head just in time to catch Dmitri's incoming fist.
BAM!
The punch landed on Luca's cheek, but he didn't stumble. He responded instantly with a gut-wrenching uppercut that made Dmitri stagger backward.
"You dare touch her in front of me?" Luca spat, fury burning in every word.
Dmitri growled. "She was never yours!"
They clashed again, like two titans locked in battle—fists flying, kicks thrown, every blow fueled by hatred, pain, and desperation. Furniture crashed around them, metal cracked, glass shattered.
Janet, too weak to stand, crawled to the corner, watching them through blurred vision, her heart pounding with fear. She didn't want anyone to die, but she knew—this fight was inevitable.
Luca slammed Dmitri against the wall, pressing his forearm to his throat. "You'll regret ever laying a hand on her."
But Dmitri smirked despite the pain. "You think it's over, Luca? You'll never escape from me."
"You already lost," Luca hissed.
The fight raged on, a battle between obsession and true protection, while Janet—shaken, but safe—prayed it would end before either of them was destroyed.
