Episode 55: The Forgotten Prince
The tower groaned beneath the weight of what had just been revealed.
Ha-jun stepped forward, his jaw clenched. "You⦠You were erased from the timeline."
The boyātall, lean, wrapped in midnight armor with a strange gleam in his silver eyesālaughed softly. "You always were the obedient one. But me?" He tilted his head. "I never bowed. And Mother⦠she never forgave that."
Juvia's heart skipped. "Mother The Queen?"
The boy's smile twisted into something darker. "She didn't always rule alone. Long ago, before the crown chose her, it chose someone elseāme. But fate," he spat the word, "fate betrayed me. So she rewrote the story, locked me behind time's gate, and made the world forget."
Ha-jun's voice was rough, shaken. "She said you died."
The boy's glare sharpened. "No, brother. I survived. And I watched. I watched as she manipulated every timeline, every version of her precious daughter-in-law," he nodded toward Juvia, "just to delay the inevitable."
Juvia took a shaky step back. "Why are you here now?"
"Because you broke the Mirror Crown." His voice dropped. "And now, all her seals are gone. Which meansāso is my prison."
A gust of wind burst from his body, sending dust and magic howling across the tower's wreckage.
"Stop!" Ha-jun shouted, summoning a wall of moonlight.
But the boyāthe Forgotten Princeāwalked through it, untouched. "You think her power was terrifying?" he whispered. "She was the guardian. I⦠I was the weapon."
He raised his hand, and the sky cracked. Black lightning spidered across the heavens. From the fissures came creaturesātimeless beasts made of memories and malice, locked away in forbidden realms.
Juvia's breath caught. "This⦠this isn't over."
"It's just begun," he smirked. "Let's see how well you fare in a war not written in prophecy."
The beasts screeched and dove. Ha-jun pushed Juvia behind him. "Run."
"I'm not leaving you!"
But it was too late.
The Forgotten Prince vanished, and chaos erupted.
The beasts swarmed. Ha-jun slashed, cutting through shadows. Juvia called on her magic, channeling moonlight, emotion, and the strength of every self she had once seen.
But they were outnumbered. Outmatched. And exhausted.
Thenālight.
A portal opened midair. Out stepped a figure cloaked in blue fire. A girl with long white hair, holding a scythe forged from starbones.
"I'm from a future that doesn't exist anymore," she said calmly. "But if he's awake, we need to rewrite the end."
She turned to Juvia.
"You're the key. But you won't survive alone."
More portals tore openāone after the otherāas figures stepped out. Versions of allies long forgotten, future warriors born from hope and ruin.
A legion of the lost.
The battle for reality had just changed.
