Episode 54: Timelines Unleashed
The tower cracked beneath their feet.
Juvia held onto Ha-jun's arm, both breathless, both wounded, both changed. The Mirror Crown's remains shimmered like scattered stars around themâshards of fate bleeding light.
But there was no time to breathe.
From the ruins below, the Queen screamedânot in pain, but in fury. Her power, once eternal and untouched, now trembled. The sky above shiftedâripping open portals from every timeline, bleeding memories and versions of Juvia and Ha-jun across the battlefield.
One version of Juvia wore a priestess gown, her eyes silver with magic. Another held a bow, her face scarred from battle. All of them stared upward toward the broken tower.
"What is this?" Juvia gasped, her hand over her heart. "Why are they here?"
"The timelines are collapsing," Ha-jun said, his voice tight. "Without the Mirror Crown, all the selves she imprisoned are spilling into this reality."
From the ground, the Queen roseâher body twisted, beautiful and monstrous. She wore every version of herself like armor. "You think this is your victory?" she hissed. "You've only opened the door to chaos!"
She floated up toward them, darkness trailing her like a storm. "You broke my seal, girl. And now you'll feel the weight of every mistake across time."
Suddenly, one of the alternate Juvias stepped forward. The warrior version.
"We're not mistakes," she said, drawing her sword. "We are her strength."
Then the others followed. One by one, dozens of Juvias stepped beside herâsome crying, some fierce, all real.
Juvia trembled as they surrounded her, and she whispered, "I'm not alone anymore."
"You never were," one replied gently. "You just forgot."
Ha-jun stood beside her, gripping her hand. "It's time."
Together, they turned to the Queen.
The battle began.
Magic rained from the sky as the timelines converged. Swords clashed against shadows. Arrows ripped through smoke beasts. The tower's top became a war zone of memory and prophecy, pain and hope.
The Queen shrieked as Ha-jun leapt toward her, his blade cloaked in crescent fire.
She blocked the strikeâbut barely. Her strength was waning. "You are nothing but a broken prince, a ghost of a god!"
"I'm not yours anymore," he spat. "And neither is she."
Juvia raised her hands. Moonlight flowed from her chestâmagic drawn from every version of herself. Her voice echoed through time.
"By the light of every path I walked, every pain I endured, every life I lostâbe undone!"
The Queen screamed as the light hit her, cracks forming down her skin. She exploded into a storm of black feathers and silence, scattering into the wind.
Everything stilled.
Thenâquiet.
The timelines faded. The alternate selves smiled, some crying, some whispering final words.
"Live fully," said one.
"Love bravely," whispered another.
"Remember us."
One by one, they faded into glowing dustâreturning to where they belonged.
Juvia fell to her knees, exhausted, overwhelmed.
Ha-jun caught her before she collapsed completely.
"You did it," he whispered.
"No⊠we did," she said weakly.
He smiled. "So⊠what now?"
Juvia looked at the sky, now clearing into soft twilight. "Now⊠we find out who we really areâfree of fate."
A soft laugh echoed in the distance. Then a new voiceâfamiliar, yet strange.
"Not so fast."
Juvia turned sharply. At the edge of the broken tower stood a boy.
No older than seventeen. Raven hair. Cold eyes. A smirk that looked too much like Ha-jun's.
"I think you've just woken up something far worse," the boy said.
Ha-jun's eyes widened. "No⊠it can't beâŠ"
"Hello, brother," the boy grinned. "Did you forget me? The first prince."
The world began shaking again.
