After playing a few rounds of Basketball, Phil finally decided that he felt far too bad constantly dunking on Liam and Luke.
"Well boys, Maybe next time you will be luckier " Phil said as he laughed.
Liam felt out of breath, his throat gasping for air.
He was pushing himself to continue playing.
Meanwhile Luke had tapped out long ago.
Liam looked at Phil who was still not tired and felt exhausted.
"My body is so weak" he thought to himself.
He knew he could play good basketball, but his current body simply did not allow him to do it.
Stepping inside the house, Liam headed to his room while Luke fell asleep on the couch in the hall.
Laying down on his bed Liam looked at his stats.
"What is Spirit and why is mine so high?" He questioned.
Ding
[This is due to your previous life, and this life's spirits combination making it much stronger then others, your spirit represent how strong your soul is]
"Oh.. that's pretty cool, is there anyway to increase my spirit stats?" He asked.
[There are a few External Items/ Events in this world that allow you to improve your spirit, But usually, Soul strength of person remains as a constant]
"What is the point of having stronger spirit?" Liam asked.
[It increases your senses of the supernatural]
Liam read causing him to sit up.
"Last night, did my spirit sense something?"
[Yes, You sensed the built emotions of the Comatose Peter Hale, this occurred since, he is beginning to awaken] The text appeared.
"According to the mission, I have 300 days until Peter is completely awakened" Liam thought to himself as he glanced at the exercise missions he had received.
Time flew by and another week was already coming to an end.
Today was Friday and it was dispersal time.
So far, Liam had only met Lydia and Stilies, he met Scot randomly in the hallways and tried to talk to him, but the few times he got a hold of Scot it seemed like he was always rushing to one thing or the other.
Heading out towards the pick up area, his eyes were lingering on the system.
Five days have passed so far, on the first day (Sunday) he simply could not do the missions, his body did not allow him to accomplish them.
But he got more used to it on the other days and was able to succeed.
One thing he noticed when his points increased was that the fatigue plaguing his body or mind would disappear leaving him feeling refreshed.
[Stats:
Str: 12

He glanced around for a bit and noticed Lydia staring at him.
Her gaze lingering for just a moment too long on him.
His eyes darted behind him but did not see anyone else she could be looking at.
Her gaze quickly averted when she realized that Liam had caught her staring
"Miss, can I interest you in a rose, freshly picked from the Gardens of Beauty, Just for you" Manny appeared with a rose in hand offering it to Lydia.
Liam almost burst out laughing when he saw this.
"Ugh, what a weirdo" Lydia said as she walked away annoyed by Manny's attempt.
Manny head sunk low as he looked at the ground in disappointment.
"Man some people just don't know how to appreciate good things" Liam said as he approached Manny, and patted him on his shoulder.
"It's whatever, you know what they say, Nice guys finish last" Manny said with a tight grip over the rose.
"If she wasn't the one, that's okay" Liam said with a smile.
"You know what, You are right!" Manny said, the feeling of sadness completely gone, rather replaced with hope.
"That's right, there are plenty of fishes in the sea" Liam said to make Manny feel better.
"Reffering to women as fishes is terrible, we shouldn't reduce their greatness to the level of a fish" Manny said as he walked away with a smile.
"Right..." Liam said feeling a little awkward as he stared at Manny walking away without a care in the world.
The car honk brought him back to reality.
"Liam! Let's go!" Claire called out, waving from the family van, Haley, Alex and Luke already in the car.
Liam jogged over and hopped into the backseat. Haley had her earbuds in.
Alex was flipping through a book.
Luke was just sitting there.
Liam noticed how at the end of the day, Luke would always be so angry, he always meant to ask why that was but realized that he had gotten so busy with his system, he had failed to ask.
"Good day at school?" Claire asked as she started driving.
"Yeah," Liam replied casually.
"No!" Alex said.
"Whys that honey?" Claire asked.
"I got the results back for the Quiz, Patel managed to get the same score as me" Alex said through her gritted teeth's.
"Oh honey you trued so hard for that test" Claire said with a frown as she glanced I to the backseat using the rear view mirror.
"How much did you end up getting?" Claire asked.
"I got a 40" Alex said she sat back with her arms crossed.
Haley removed the earbuds from her ears as she looked at Alex.
"Isn't that the highest marks you can get?" Haley asked.
"Yea, so? What's your point" Alex said anger.
Haley put her hands up in defeat "Whatever" she said as she put her earbuds back in.
Back home, Phil tried to fix the toaster and due to unfortunate events ended up sticking a fork into it causing him to get electrocuted and overall just being knocked out from doing any work for the hours.
It wasn't too bad cause Alex who was nearby immediately shut the toaster off.
Luke accidentally let a lizard loose causing chaos as Alex started crying, Meanwhile Haley being Haley was in her room talking to Dylan.
Soo, basically just another afternoon at Dunphy's
Liam remained mostly quiet and had excused himself early on to his and lukes shared room.
He locked the door, closed the blinds, and opened the system.
"Okay" He said taking a sharp breath in.
"Time to workout" Liam whispered as he dropped down to the ground and began with pushups.
Sweat poured from his brow as he pushed through his fifth set of pushups. Every rep felt heavier, but strangely... right.
His body was beginning to change. Not externally, but something beneath the skin.
It was strengthening.
When he hit 100 pushups, a chime echoed.
[Pushups Complete – 100/100]
