Inside the room.
The heart monitor beeps steadily… unchanged… until.

It barely moved.
But it was like a muscle remembering it could move.
In that instant, a dark red glow pulses in his chest—visible only to the world beyond the veil, limited to the range of "Beaconview"
Something primal stirs.
A predator is waking, emotions so intense just bursting out from within him.
But to any mortal or even an enhanced being, everything is still normal.

Back at the Dunphys house.
Liam tossed in his bed, feeling something extremely uncomfortable, his body was fine.
But it was almost like his soul was sensing something extremely disturbing.
His heart raced.
Cold sweat on his forehead.
He gasped awake as a spike of pure, inexplicable fear blossomed within him.
It disappeared as soon as it appeared and he was left feeling uncomfortable but that's it.
He couldn't even begin to explain what had just happened.
One moment he was sleeping and next he was awakened by a weird feeling deep in his chest, next thing he knows, he felt an extremely intense range of emotions blasting towards him.
Rage. Trauma. Violence and Just pure Malice.
"What… the hell… was that?"

"What the fuck!" Liam murmured underneath his breath.
"What the hell was that feeling I just had!" Liam questioned.
At this point although a little surprised he wasn't even fazed by the fact that he now has a system.
[The world stirred. A monster remembers it still has teeth.]

"What the fuck....Did Peter Hale awaken? No the timing is not right" he murmured to himself.
Clicking on the mission the screen in front of him expanded.

"From the looks of things Peter will Awaken 300 days from now" Liam understood from the interface.
"What is the use of Survival Points?" Liam wondered.
The systems interface changed at this moment into a different interface.

A shop interface appeared there were different tiers with only the first tier unlocked the rest were all grayed out.
There were a bunch of interesting items that were available for purchase but Liam did not have the points to be able to get them.
"One of the requirements to complete this mission is I have to survive a direct confrontation with him. Which is fucking crazy how am I supposed to survive that monster with my weak ass body" Liam thought to himself.
"Also why can't I just run away for the period Peter is active for?" Liam wondered.

Similarly the rest were Daily missions as well, with the Rewards being +1 in his Dexterity stat with the squats and +1 in his speed for running.
"What are my current stats?" Liam wondered.
The system interface changed and what appeared infront of him was a Stat List.

(Avg Adult stats are ranging around 20)
Sighing to himself Liam went to lay back on the bed, he was exhausted and at this moment he just needed some shut eye.
"System... is this all real? Or is this just my brain making it up" Liam asked not really expecting to gain any answers.
The system was quiet, it did not respond.
Liam was not too disappointed, he felt like even if the system said that this was real he would have a hard time believing it.
Liam shut his eyes to get some rest, he began to slip away into unconsciousness when he suddenly heard a Ding resound again.
[Host is currently inside an Alternate Universe off a world he previously was part off] The text was displayed in front of Liam.
His pupils stared at the bright blue holographic screen, he swallowed his saliva, but it felt like he was swallowing a lump that refused to go down.
Taking in broken breaths he spoke.
"How... how did I end up here" He asked.
The system went silent for a few minutes.
But Liam did not give up hope, his eyes were wide.
Heart was squeezing itself inside his chest, mind racked with nervousness as he waited.
Not knowing when or if the system will answer him.

The sound resounded as Liam felt his stiff body tighten.
[A Cosmic Mistake] appeared on the holographic screen.
"So..." Liam began saying but he could not bring himself to continue.
The night passed and it was the next day and also unfortunetly the last day of the weekend, a Sunday.
On this day, Liam was In the backyard along with Phil and Luke were in the backyard playing basketball.
"It's 5-0 to 22-0" Phil said with a smile as he proceeded to score another point.
Liam was sitting on the grass, feeling the prickly grass under him, he watched Phil and Luke play.
"So this is all real?" He said, finally managing to build up the courage to complete what he wanted to ask yesterday night.
[Yes] A simple three letter string appeared on the systems holographic display.
Liam was attracted to the match again, he watched as the ball thrown by Luke inched closer and closer to the net with a smile slowly appearing on his face.
"Cmon!" Luke shouted in excitement.
Right as the ball was an inch away from touching the hoop, Phil took advantage of his long arms and smacked the ball away wiping the smile that was appearing on Luke's face.
"Get that weak stuff out of my kitchen!" Phil celebrated in excitement.
Luke got a hold of the ball again and he his face was filled with determination.
This time and he moved as quickly as he could to the hoop but Phil appeared infront of him at this time.
"Do me a favour, just…" he extended his hand out and clicked his fingers besides Lukes ear causing him to get distracted for a second.
That was more then enough time for Phil to steal the ball and score another point.
"Boom! How's the weather down there?" Phil said with a laugh, meanwhile Liam just sat a distance away, the mellow wind blowing past his face and the rustling of the trees filling his ears.
"Everything is so full of sunshine here" Liam murmured to himself as he looked up at the clear sky.
His previous life was so bleak, just a life filled with pure struggle, always making sure to stay on the right path, ignore the shortcuts, which did pay off for him at the end.
He managed to come from some unknown orphanage all the way to becoming a honors graduate of one of the most prestigious Ivy league colleges.
Liam did not know what to think, he just hoped, that maybe he will have it easier this time around...
"There is no going back is there?" Liam asked.
[No] The system promptly responded.
"Hey Liam come play with us, Luke could use your help" Phil shouted with a smile.
Liam smiled.
"Yea, Okay I'm coming, you better watch out, I am pretty good at Basketball" Liam shouted as he got up off the grass.
"This second chance he has right now, he is going to do all the things he could not do in his previous life.
Liam firmly decided.
As for the Survive the Alpha's Awakening mission, he made a decision, he is going to get stronger, he is not going to run.
