Chapter 43 - Old Man Blacksmith

Years later, Marcus had grown older, and his hair was white. He found a depraved girl, Cassandra, in The Sacred Forest and took her in as an apprentice.

Sadly later, he got word that his twin brother's wife died, so he went to the funeral where he solemnly reunited with his brother once more.

Massive eyebags hanged from Hubert's eyes as they greeted each other.

Old Man Blacksmith learned about the two children that were left behind by Julia. In addition, he found out that Cassandra was his niece, making her one of the children.

After the funeral, Marcus met with his twin brother, Hubert, and offered his help.

Hubert rested in front of his wife's grave. He stuttered that there was nothing he could do.

Marcus wondered what had happened to him. He urged that Hubert needed to rest. He continued that he would help with his kids. He suggested that he could protect Cassandra, at least.

Hubert looked at him in confusion. He asked what kids. He realized and inquired if he meant the monsters that ruined his life.

Marcus questioned what he was talking about.

As he coughed blood, Hubert insisted that he could do whatever he wished with his kids. In front of the grave, he cried that his wife would come back to him. She had to.

Marcus remarked that she would rest in peace, and her energy would return to the world.

Hubert was in complete turmoil. He clutched his head and cried that he would never, never accept her death, and he felt dead in a world without her. He continued that he was the greatest scientist, and he would find a way to bring back his love.

Marcus looked at his brother with concern. He assured that there would be no need. He noticed stitches on Hubert's hands.

Something was different.

Hubert was desperate, and he screamed for his love's return.

Marcus attempted to calm him down. He touched his brother's shoulder.

Hubert yelled and shoved him away. He grabbed him by the collar and glared at him.

Marcus gasped for air.

Hubert scowled and breathed heavily. He demanded to know why his twin was there, now. He asserted that Marcus abandoned their research a long time ago. He teared up and stammered that they were supposed to have an inseparable bond, but he left him. He interrogated why.

Marcus tried to speak, but Hubert pushed him to the ground.

Hubert narrowed his eyes and declared that he was not his brother anymore.

Marcus stood up and retorted that he only came out of hiding for him. He apologized for not being there for him, more.

Hubert fell to his knees.

Marcus caught his breath and crouched to him.

Hubert wept and urged his brother to leave him.

Marcus sat beside him and insisted on helping him. He expressed that he loved him for a similar reason that Hubert loved Julia. He continued that in spite of everything, he could not live without knowing his twin brother was well or not.

Hubert growled and got up. He stomped away. As he left his twin brother, he asserted that he was alone, now, but not for long.

Marcus frowned and pursued him into a forest, nearby.

Unfortunately, Hubert had disappeared.

After the funeral, Cassandra lived with Old Man Blacksmith.

Old Man Blacksmith also took another apprentice, Pepe, that he trained in the arts of combat.

One day, Cassandra started to inhibit peculiar behaviors, and he found out about the zombie outbreak.

Old Man Blacksmith locked her in her room after she tried to kill Pepe. He wanted to find a solution for his niece whom he had promised to his twin that he would protect.

Later, Pepe came back from school with the three kids that he would mention every once in a while.

Old Man Blacksmith felt a jolt of excitement from anticipation. He greeted them as they came inside. Alas, he felt accomplished before he died.

Two of the Three Legendary Heroes were now dead.

In the next room, Zombie Queen waited for the next challenge after defeating General Bobby's Army.

By the entrance, Hafen, Stark, and Matteo faced her. They were ready to defeat her and end the Zombies War once and for all.

What was going to happen next? Who would win? The future of humanity was in the three brothers' hands.
