Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

After several minutes, Kaylee rushed through the trees and finally reached the shoreline, where she saw Ivaander run towards. Although when she finally arrived, he wasn't there.

She panted as the journey she took to get there was a long one, but she saw no signs of her savior anywhere. She watched the waves slightly crash into the shoreline, as she looked around and around for him.

"…..Ivaander?" She would call out to him.

"...Please.....I just….. I just wanna talk…" She would try and explain.

In truth, she really did, but she also wanted him to have answers as well. She didn't want him to be afraid of telling her, but she also wanted to know what he really was.

Kaylee knew he wasn't human, and if he was human, she wanted to know what kind of freaks would experiment on someone. Her mind was simply a curiosity wonderland, and she wouldn't give up.

However, as much as she called out to him, all she got back was silence and the sounds of the waves crashing against the island. In reality, Ivaander was nearby, but not somewhere she could see him.

He continued to listen to her pleas before she saw how dark it was becoming outside. Eventually, she had to give up as she sighed and started to walk back to the mansion.

Before she reached back into the woods, she took one more look back and spoke.

"...Thank you… for saving me.. Ivaander…"

"….I hope I'm able to say that to your face tomorrow….. if you'll be here…. I'll come back tomorrow morning and hope you'll speak to me then…"

With that, Kaylee headed back to the mansion with the rest of her friends. Ivaander, sitting up in a tall, thick tree, watched as Kaylee walked off and headed back towards the mansion.

His face was pale and lifeless, which started to form a feeling and despair as he watched her walk away. His mouth closed as he grinned his teeth firmly together as he sat on the thick branch for the rest of the night.

The next morning, while the rest of her friends were fast asleep and sleeping off the fighting and substances, Kaylee woke up early and headed back down to the shoreline.

She had hoped that what she said yesterday, Ivaander would still be around that night to hear her. Wearing nothing more than some silk pink sleep pajamas and a silk pink crop top tank top.

Kaylee was careful this time, climbing down the hillside and down towards the beach this time around. Making sure she watched her surroundings, as she heard nature around her.

This time, nothing was going to stop her, though, even if something wild was to pop out at her, she wouldn't stop trying to pursue speaking to Ivaander. Before long, she had reached the shoreline again, but was immediately saddened to see no one.

It would seem he was long gone this time, and must've left last night. Kaylee stared at the ocean and its beauty, as she silently watched the waves and listened to the wind around her.

Kaylee closed her eyes as she thought about Ivaander and his features, and continued to replay him snapping the animal's neck with ease. It was like watching supernatural strength before her very pretty brown eyes.

She had never seen anything so surreal and yet so terrifying. Kaylee was also worried about him getting hurt, as she did notice that the animal attacked him in the struggle.

Feeling a heavy breeze pick up behind her, and then stop as Kaylee quickly turned around and saw Ivaander standing behind her at a far distance. The two of them stared in silence at each other, as Kaylee felt an ache in her heart.

Ivaander was wearing a crop top, blue jean jacket with black sleeves, a black undershirt, and shiny, tightly fitted black pants, with black belted boots. Kaylee must've assumed he did go back to the mansion to clean up because he looked clean now.

Perhaps, maybe he went all the way home and did it there, as she was up pretty early to clean herself up and didn't hear anyone else. She didn't know how fast he truly traveled, but judging by how she felt that huge wind behind her and she seized.

She could only predict that he went as fast as the wind, almost like breaking the sound barrier like fighter jets. Kaylee didn't know whether to speak first or to allow him to do so.

Her eyes, however, darted down towards his right arm, as she could notice he had white bandages wrapped around it, indicating someone had patched him up. Though she didn't know who, she could only then conclude that he did go home.

However, they were millions of miles from any other place, so he ran all the way there on water? Kaylee continued to ponder in her mind as Ivaander continued to say nothing but look at her.

It would seem that it'll be up to her to break the awkward silence between the two of them. She took a step up as she was about to speak, which caused Ivaander to take notice.

"…..I…..I'm glad… You came back… thank you." She would softly speak to him.

Ivaander listened but said nothing in response.

Kaylee, seeing his lifeless expression, as if he was trying to hold something in or back from her. It was clear he seemed off, but it was troubling.

"….Why….why won't you talk to me? …. Is it because of what I saw?" Kaylee said a bit more firmly, feeling offended by him not speaking to her now.

She was beginning to get defensive in her heart, as this was the same feeling she felt back at his manor. That feeling of his was about to dismiss her again and tell her lies.

"...Don't…" She began to say as she started to walk towards him slowly.

"….Don't tell me I'm crazy…. Don't tell me I didn't see….. I know… what I saw... and … and I'm not afraid …"

It was at this point that Ivaander looked down briefly as if he was exhaling some air, and then looked back up at Kaylee and spoke.

"Stop….. don't come any closer…." He told her calmly but in a cold tone.

Kaylee stopped briefly but then decided to keep walking towards him as Ivaander started to become uncomfortable.

"….Kaylee…. I'm warning you…."

"I heard you," Kaylee said in response as she continued to walk towards him.

"Then why aren't you listening to me?!" Ivaander shouted at her as he tried to take a step back, but Kaylee quickly grabbed his arm and shouted back to him.

"Because I don't wanna lose you again!"

Tears formed in her eyes as her mouth started to twitch from hurt and sadness. Ivaander watched her silently as he allowed her to hold his hand.

"…I…I … I can't … lose… you .. again… please…" Kaylee said, crying towards him, as she looked up at him in sorrow, which caused Ivaander's heart to sink deeper.

Ivaander slowly took his right hand to brush her curly brown hair back behind her ear, as he took his hand to rest behind the back of her ear. Slowly, they made their foreheads touch against each other.

Ivaander fought the urges inside himself as their noses brushed against one another, as Kaylee closed her eyes to feel him, smell him, and embrace his presence.

"…..Kay…"

"Kiss me…" Kaylee softly whispered to him, cutting him off before he could finish saying her name. Ivaander kept his orbs closed briefly, moving his head back and forth slightly against hers.

"…..I…can't…" Ivaander softly replied back.

Kaylee didn't know what he meant when he said he couldn't, but she didn't care as she gently opened her eyes and looked at him deeply.

"….Just one kiss….. please…." She softly asked him once again, as Ivaander looked down at her, as she looked up at him.

Their eyes locked in a trance, as Ivaander briefly looked at her lips and back up at her eyes, as he slowly moved her inches closer towards his own lips.

Her eyes slowly closed again, as he did the same, as he brushed his full, soft, warm lips against her cold ones. Kaylee, feeling even the slightest bit of his lips, made her heart race, and without a thought, she pressed her lips to his.

Ivaander, feeling her lips on his, immediately leaned his head back a bit, trying to stop her.

"….Kaylee… stop… I can't…" He reiterated towards her, but she refused to listen as she put her hand on the back of his head, pressing their lips together again as she talked through it briefly.

"…Please…just … please…" She whispered towards him again before locking lips with him, as their lips melted together and her heart raced faster.

Inside, she felt a burning sensation, as Ivaander felt the same, causing the male to lock his arms tightly around her waistline, as they got rougher and more passionate in their kiss.

Both hungry for the other, as Ivaander's hand slid up inside her little tank top, as she had no bra on, as he felt on her upper back. His warm hand pressing and wandering around her body caused her to feel a tingle between her legs.

Kaylee soon began to moan in the kiss, feeling her saliva twirl with his tongue, which caused Ivaander to start to softly growl in his throat. The two feeling against each other as Kaylee sucked, and tugged on Ivaanders lips with her own, itching more for his touch.

However, their surroundings were screaming danger, as the two of them kissed, the clouds got darker. Starting to form a thunderstorm surrounding them, the waves getting louder, and the wind howling faster and blowing more ferociously.

Although that didn't stop Kaylee, as she was starting to be blown left and right due to the wind, because Ivaander gripped her, so she didn't blow away.

It wasn't until a loud thundering sound that crackled above them that Ivaander broke their passionate kiss.

"…Please…" Kaylee begged again.

"…No ... .no.. we..we have to stop.." Ivaander told her, looking into her eyes, as his eyes were pink.

The wind continued to blow harder, and Kaylee soon could hear a crackling sound, as Ivaander felt a sensation go up his spine, which caused him to quickly pick Kaylee up.

In a flash, one of the trees came crashing down, as Ivaander quickly moved herself and himself out of the way.

"….What's… what's going on!? Is it a tornado?!" Kaylee said, frightened and worried.

Ivaander unlocked himself with Kaylee and turned to look back at her.

"Leave."

"What?" Kaylee responded quickly as she watched Ivaander start to walk away, but she followed.

"I want you to go back to the mansion. Tell everyone to pack and leave the island. Do not wait for me." He remarked as he superspeeded away.

In a flash, Ivaander was gone again, as Kaylee couldn't even ask him what was going on or why he wouldn't come along with her. She was also unable to even think as the waves grew bigger and even touched her toes and splashed her.

Suddenly, in the distance on the ocean, Kaylee could see dark mist illuminating from afar. Her orbs widened a bit before she looked up at the sky and noticed dark clouds swirling and forming bigger.

She didn't understand what was going on, but it was true she couldn't die right now. She wanted to see Ivaander again, which meant she needed to live.

This time, without trying to follow him, she would do as he told her and go back to the mansion to warn the others. Although once she finally did arrive back, everyone else seemed to have already gotten the memo.

"Hey! Where the fuck you've been! We gotta go!" Justin yelled towards Kaylee as he saw her coming up the driveway.

The thunderstorm started to cause it to rain heavily, as the wind was so loud that everyone had to shout to talk to each other.

"What's going on?!" Kaylee asked Justin as she said Mark and Bradley were packing up the trunks with everyone's stuff.

"You didn't hear?! There is a tornado heading this way! We gotta go!" Justin told her.

"What?! A — a tornado?!" Kaylee said in disbelief as she watched Justin race back inside the mansion, and Kaylee quickly followed suit.

"What?! What do you mean— it was literally just sunny a few minutes ago….." Kaylee stated as Justin quickly, in a rush, packed up everything else, stuffing things in bags.

"Yeah! I know. That's what's so fucking weird….but then our power went out in here, then flashing lights, followed by loud crashes all around the island…. Trees must've fallen." Justin explained.

Kaylee was still stunned and puzzled as Justin snapped and clapped his fingers at her.

"Yo! What the fuck you doing?! Put some shoes on, we gotta go!"

"Wait! Go where?!"

"The pilot got a destress signal nearby from our island he's coming to get us but it's on the other side of the island we need to hurry up and meet him or we're fucked."

"And go where?!" Kaylee asked again, as she watched Justin hand her her purse and bag, as he also grabbed her wrist and pulled her along.

The rain picked up, followed by hail, as Bradley honked his horn for everyone to hurry up, as he pulled off with Tiffany in the vehicle as well. Mark shouted towards Justin and Kaylee to hurry, as Mark got in the driver's seat.

Kaylee, confused, still felt herself get pushed into the truck as Justin quickly rushed to the passenger side of the truck and hopped inside. Kaylee immediately looked at the boys as they talked to each other.

"Wait! Where's Ivaander?! We can't leave without him!" Kaylee shouted to them both.

Mark put the car in drive as Justin replied to her.

"Look! No one has seen Ivaander since last night! We heard screaming last night, followed by silence! That nigga either dead or he left the island last night and didn't tell us."

"So what?! You're not even gonna look for him?!" Kaylee argued.

"Kay! Does it look like we can look for that nigga?!"

"Justin's right, Kaylee! We can't go back we need to think about us right now and get the fuck outta here! This island isn't safe with that tornado heading straight for us with no shelter protection!" Mark explained to her.

"You better thank God we got you in time! We didn't know where you were and even tried calling your damn phone but it was left in the mansion!" Justin pointed out as he handed her her cell.

Kaylee snatched her phone from him and searched through her notifications for the tornado warning. Although nothing popped up on her phone as they all continued to drive to the other side of the island.

"What?! I didn't get a tornado warning on my phone!" She told Justin and Mark.

"Did you?" Kaylee asked them.

Justin shook his head towards her and showed his phone briefly before looking forward again, but talking to her.

"No! That's what's so weird! We didn't get anything! None of us did! It came as a surprise!"

Kaylee, in the moment, hearing what Justin said, thought hard about something. It was odd indeed, but not unnatural for tornadoes to come unexpectedly.

However, this incident was strange because it was so perfectly sunny, and not a cloud in the sky. It wasn't until she started to make out with Ivaander that all of a sudden, the weather was turning weird.

Kaylee couldn't make any sense of it all as she sat in the back of the truck. In the end, though, she only hoped that wherever Ivaander was, he was safe and that she would see him again.
