Chapter 10 - Change of plans

After the sudden change of plans, Hiroshi arrives at his agency. As he enters the building, Hiroshi notices once again the receptionist with light brown hair and short hair, focused on her computer. Feeling a sense of déjà vu, Hiroshi thinks this situation feels very familiar.

This time, the receptionist acts quickly and notices Hiroshi's presence. With a smile on her face, she says, "It's great to see you again, Takahashi-san. How can I assist you today?"

Smiling back and returning the receptionist's kindness, Hiroshi says, "Miyako-san asked me to come and meet her urgently." Hearing Hiroshi's situation, the young receptionist cheerfully replies, "If that's the case, I can take you to her."

"Sounds good to me." Going with the flow, Hiroshi follows the receptionist to where Miyako is.

Arriving in a large room, Hiroshi finally finds Miyako along with some other familiar faces. But the person who really called him here was Miyako, so he tries to focus on her.

"I came as you asked, Miyako-san." Introducing himself formally, he greets Miyako. However, instead of getting straight to the point, Miyako starts talking about some plans for the agency. "So, Hiroshi-kun, Strawberry Productions is planning to bring back idol groups." Giving Hiroshi a moment to process the information, Miyako continues, "We were thinking of using you for some musical arrangements and taking this opportunity to boost your musical career."

"What do you think?" Hearing the proposal, Hiroshi agrees enthusiastically. "Sure, no problem!" As they continued discussing contractual issues and the job, someone who had been in the corner finally speaks up. "Miyako, so it was Takahashi-san you wanted to use for the music? I thought he was an actor..."

With a doubtful look on her face, Ruby becomes worried, unsure if Hiroshi has the skills to handle the musical arrangements.

Miyako, looking back at Ruby, replies, "At first, I had my doubts too. But once you see his skills, you'll agree right away that he's the right person." With a smile, Miyako continues, "Besides, it's easier to count on him than others because he has a contract with our agency."

Surprised by the fact that Hiroshi is tied to their agency, Ruby clearly shows her reaction. Hiroshi, who had been on the sidelines during this conversation, finally finds a moment to say something. "So, can I assume you want to be an idol, Ruby?"

Hearing her classmate say this, Ruby becomes excited and starts talking about her dreams of the idol world. "That's right! I want to be a great idol who will shake up the industry!" Hearing Ruby's ambitions, Hiroshi smiles at her and says, "That's a great ambition to have. I hope you can become a great idol!"

Smiling at what Hiroshi said, Ruby is happy to see that her new friend believes in her. After all, the more people who support her, the better.

Miyako, who had been on the sidelines of the conversation, turns back to Hiroshi and says, "There's one more thing I wanted to discuss with you, Hiroshi." Taking a breath and giving Hiroshi time to focus on what she is about to say, Miyako continues, "It's about the reality show you'll be appearing on. You'll need to record on weekends and very early in the morning. But don't worry, a van will pick you up before filming starts."

Hearing more details about We're About to Fall in Love for Real, Hiroshi anticipates what will happen. But there's no need to worry too much, as there are still a few days before the weekend arrives. Thanking Miyako for involving him in a musical production, Hiroshi bids farewell to her and Ruby.

"See you later, Takahashi-san!" Seeing the cheerful and positive girl bidding him farewell, Hiroshi smiles back and says, "See you later, Ruby."

As he says goodbye and leaves the agency, Hiroshi walks back home, deep in thought about his career. 'I didn't expect this opportunity.'

Certainly surprised by this development, Hiroshi contemplates the future. 'It's fine that I'll be doing the musical arrangements, but what else will change in the future?' With fears of an uncertain future different from what he knows from the story of Oshi no Ko, Hiroshi feels anxious about what might happen.

Giving his cheeks a light slap to snap back to reality, Hiroshi remains in thought, but this time more positively. 'Why am I worrying so much? This doesn't seem like me... where's my confidence to be the best?'

Reassuring himself, Hiroshi states, 'What does it matter if things change in the future? I just need to be myself and keep doing my best to achieve perfection.'

Now with a more positive mindset, Hiroshi continues his journey toward a perfect future, or so he hopes.
