Chapter 5: Lord of the North.
" You came back with a human?" The orc tribal head glanced at one the female orcs.
" Bulga, we found him around one of the hunting traps in the forest, there were two of them but his companion had already succumbed to the trap by the time we around." said the female orc who led the group that captured Lucian.
Bulga nodded before returning her gaze to Kim Hyun Jee. " I see no reason to keep him alive. Since he's your quarry, you may do with him as you wish." Bulga said then turned around and headed to her throne.
The other female orcs didn't waste time in shooting ominous gazes his way. Kim Hyun Jee felt his scalp numb when he recalled Bulgas words.
Do with him as you wish...
From what he read in the story he knew that the orcs were a brutal race, one fueled by wars and blood shed. On some occasions in the story, the orcs were known to capture and kill of members of other races and under rare circumstances where some victims survived, the story would depict them as victims who suffered immense trauma.
" Wait! You can't do this!" Kim Hyun Jee screamed but a female orc had already grabbed him and hoisted over her soldier.
' At this rate I'll be dead within the hour! Think, how should I get out this crappy situation!' Kim Hyun Jee racked his mind but nothing seemed to be coming up.
' Is my death really inevitable?'
' Am I really going to die because I'm stuck in this bastards body?!' Kim Hyun Jee felt completely frustrated, why couldn't he have been reborn in the body a more useful character, why'd it have to be this lovestruck fool.
' What use could this idiot really have... Wait I got it!' Kim Hyun Jee's eye's suddenly flashed with the brilliance of realization.
" I said stop! Get your mitts off me! Do you know who I am?!"
" You smelly beasts! If anyone of you dares to lay a finger on me, your tribe will be dead by dawn!"
" Ha! You think a meer human like yourself could threaten our tribe?" Bulga smirked atop her throne. The other orcs followed her leave and began laughing as well, even the orc carrying him came to a stop.
" I might not be able to pose a threat to you but my father can! You think your small tribe could stand against the lord of the north?!"
"...!!!" The instant Lucian mentioned the words Lord of the north, all the laughing orcs stiffened up.
The Lord of the north was a prominent character in Myeong's story, a character who the readers knew for his amazing feat of holding back the demon kings army for a day and a night all on his own. That same character wasn't a Duke or Marquis but some bearing the title of a count and yet, no one dared to mock him when others gave him the monicker of lord of the north.
With glacier white hair, blue eyes and a face comparable in beauty to a woman, had the same features as Lucian. That same person was also Lucian's very own father.
Being a small tribe stationed at the peripheral of Celia forest, Bulga had naturally heard of the lord of the north, he was one of the major reasons why the number of male demons had decreased drastically to the point that even her own tribes male population was basically non-existent. but she didn't expect this feeble human before her to be his very own offspring.
" You, the son of the lord of the north? Don't make me laugh!" Bulga stood up from her throne and glared at Kim Hyun Jee.
Lucian didn't flinch from her obvious probing because he watched as the numbers above her head gradually fell.

' Ha! It's working!' Lucian felt relieved, turns out this body of his wasn't completely useless. Being the son of such a prestigious figure served as a natural deterrent.
' If I want to keep surviving in this world, I need to stop acting like myself and embrace the role of Lucian Von Nix. The love struck son of the lord of the north.'
' Well... Besides the love struck part.'
" What scared now? You really think you can handle my father's wrath after harming me?" Lucian pushed on.
Bulga who was scrutinizing him with her gaze frowned when she failed to detect any falsehoods in his words. Technically, Lucian wasn't his father's son anymore since he was disowned from his house but that didn't mean he wasn't his father's biological son.
' Tsk... This muscle head is more stubborn than I thought.' Lucian felt irritated when he noticed that Bulga was still contemplating.
" 3 days! If you still think I'm lying, in 3 days time, my race will enter this forest."
' In three days, if I recall correctly, The men of the Nix house should arrive within the forest to search for Lucian's remains. '
' At the time, they were under the orders of Lucian's mother who was heart broken by the news of her son's sudden fate...'
' As for Lucian's father, I'm not sure how he felt about the news since he died in a battle during a subjugation mission a few months after. With Myeong's crappy writing, The lord of the north, though famous, didn't get enough screen time.'
" If your wise, I'd suggest you let me go before you bring ruin onto your own tribe."
The other orcs began feeling wary the more Lucian talked, even they could sense the truth within his words. Bulgas face creased unhappily when she noticed the hints of fear from the faces of her fellow tribesmen.
' Could this boy really be that monsters son?' Even when she saw the similarities in appearance, She still didn't want to believe it.
To release their quarry like this was beyond humiliating, moreover, she was the acting chieftain of the tribe, if the other orcs began doubting her leadership because of this it would cause more problems for her later on.
