3rd POV:
It was the next day, and all the children who were to awaken soon sat in the classroom, listening to Sarah Starborn's lecture. "Today's lesson will go over how the System functions, what we know about it, and how to utilize it to your advantage effectively. To start, can anyone tell me what the system is?" Sarah says, wearing an identical robe to what he wore the day before. Samael and two of the other children put their hands up, eager to earn some favor with the caretaker. "Samael, what do you think?" Samael puts his hand down and opens his mouth to speak when a sudden tremor shakes the room. "What was that?" Augustus asks out loud. "It seems to be coming from outside." Sarah says. "I will go look. Children, stay here. Sarah abruptly vanishes before the kids in the room can blink. The kids look around, wondering how she could have vanished so quickly. "How strong is she to disappear like that so quickly?" Samael mutters to himself.
Around 20 minutes pass, and Sarah reappears in the front of the classroom, her residual aura still fluctuating around her. The room fills with the chatter of the children as they all throw their questions at her: "How did you do that?" "Where did you go?" "What happened?" Sarah's calm facial expression shifts into a knowing smile. "Now, now, children, let's take it one question at a time, ok?" The children all put up their hands, their eyes gleaming with curiosity, as Sarah took her time answering all their questions. "What caused that tremor, Miss Caretaker?" One child asks. "That was a small dimensional fluctuation. They are caused when powerful beings above Tier 10 leverage their ỉ̸̤̉n̷̜̉c̵̹̓̿ǒ̴̡̹ḿ̵̥p̷̤̟̏l̸͖͙̚ē̶̩̯ẗ̴̨́e̸̟͐̽ ̷͖͑͝s̸̗̈͌p̵͙͑a̴͌̂͜ţ̵̝͆͝ị̶̃͑ͅa̵̠̬͒̋l̴̤̤̐͋ ̷̜̥̂d̶̷͔̲̾̑d̶̾ó̴̙m̵̺̖̓͋a̸̧͚͆̽ḯ̸̹̒n̵͘͜͝ to move through the fabrics of a Dimension. It appears I've said too much about this. I will teach you once you grow stronger, child. Next up is… Samael. What do you have on your mind?" Samael looked up, still thinking about which question to ask.
*Should I ask her to explain what she meant by a Tier 10 being, or how strong she is for her to know all this?.* Hundreds of thoughts ran through Samael's head, but he ultimately settled on the question he just had to know the answer to. "Miss Caretaker, what did you mean by a Tier 10 being? How many Tiers are there, and what does it even mean to be a certain Tier?" Sarah responds calmly, explaining in detail about the Tiers and what they mean for a Cultivator. "I was going to teach you about this eventually. I suppose telling you now wouldn't do too much harm. Now then, Tiers are another way of referring to how strong an individual is. From the level of a mortal, as you are now, all the way to the peak of the Body Refinement Realm, you are considered Tier 0 beings." As Sarah talks, Samael is eagerly writing down every word.
"When you break through to the next Realm, you increase your Tier to Tier 1. After that, every Tier is equivalent to one Cultivation Realm. Every Tier is exponentially stronger than the one before it, and as you get stronger, the gap between Tiers just grows wider and wider, so don't even think about challenging someone who is at a higher Tier than you unless you have a death wish."
As the minutes pass, it finally becomes Augustus' turn. "How strong are you?" He immediately asks. "Augustus, haven't I told you it's rude to ask others their cultivation level? That's a very personal question, after all." Sarah responds with a stern tone. "I'm sorry, Miss Caretaker. You just seem so strong. I mean, you disappeared in an instant. It was like you teleported!" His voice was apologetic, but with a hint of curiosity remaining in his voice. "Do you have any other questions, Augustus?" "No, Miss Caretaker." "Let's get back to the lecture, then."
"As I was saying, today we are going to be talking about the System. What do you all know about the System?" A few of the children put their hands up, some, like Samael, more eagerly than others. Sarah points towards one of the more hesitant children in the back. The girl's shoulder-length white hair sways slightly as she looks around nervously. The girl stands up slowly as her nervous look slowly becomes more confident. "The System has been around for hundreds of billions of years. Its main function is to assist young cultivators in their endeavor to grow stronger. It also has other functions, such as to display everything about a cultivator in the form of a status screen."
Several hours later, the two boys are at the clearing once again. Just like they had done the day before, they started their routine with a few laps around the clearing; today, however, was different. A strange feeling was in the air, and the two boys felt as though they were being watched. Despite that feeling, they continued as usual. When the sun was beginning to set for the day, the boys began to make their way back to the village.
While the boys were leaving, a sudden noise made them stop. It sounded like a mix between the rustle of the grass and heavy footsteps. Samael looks back at the tall grass surrounding the clearing. Out of nowhere, a massive wolf lunges out from the grass straight at them. The wolf was at least 12 feet long with a tail and fur made of shards of ice like glass. Its fur shone in the light of the setting sun as it moved towards the boys. Both Samael and Augustus are beaten and bruised from their sparring; even so, they have to fight, or they won't survive. The wolf was a Low Tier 0 beast, meaning it was equivalent to the 3rd to 6th stage of the Body Refinement Realm. "We have to distract it so we can escape, Mael! We can't fight against a Low Tier 0 beast." A cold mist begins to form around the wolf as it moves closer to the boys. Icicles begin to form around the beast as it prepares to kill the two boys.
