Chapter 24 - Chapter 24 - Ribbit Ribbit! Throg

"I remember Mjolnir is near the frog version of Thor trapped in a jar. If I can find Throg, I can find Mjolnir."

The true Throg was originally a man named Simon Walterson who was cursed and turned into a frog.

By chance, he leaped onto the strap of Mjolnir and was recognized by it.

But for someone his size, Mjolnir was simply too massive. Even though he was deemed worthy, he couldn't unleash its full power or use it properly.

Later, when Thor was battling an enemy, a fragment of Mjolnir broke off. With that small piece, Throg gained his own mini version of the hammer.

Clearly, the Mjolnir Fenris was looking for was the regular-sized one. That meant the frog trapped in the bottle nearby wasn't the real Throg Simon Walterson.

Instead, it was probably Thor, transformed into a frog by Loki.

In Thor: Ragnarok, it was mentioned that Loki had turned Thor into a frog when they were kids.

And in deleted scenes from Loki's solo series, there was even a segment where Loki ruled Asgard while Thor had been transformed into a frog.

Fenris had failed to find Mjolnir on previous visits, but this time he wouldn't leave empty-handed.

Activating his super hearing, all surrounding sounds were instantly amplified countless times.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Fenris heard the sound of something hitting a surface. It wasn't far, just near the underground fortress.

Judging by the weight and rhythm of the impacts, along with a slow yet steady heartbeat, Fenris was almost certain it was Throg.

And where there's Throg, there's Mjolnir.

"You guys keep collecting supplies. If you find anyone new who's been pruned, bring them back."

Fenris slung his backpack over his shoulder.

Shrink. Teleport.

He arrived inside a sealed jar.

The space inside was cramped, and a frog wearing a Thor outfit was standing right in front of Fenris, face to face.

Question: What would you do if a giant frog face suddenly appeared right in front of yours?

Answer: Punch it!

Bang!

Before Throg could react, Fenris's fist slammed into his face. The little frog was sent flying back, smacking hard into the glass wall.

The jar had clearly been magically reinforced by Loki, it was extremely durable.

Ding!

Battle detected. Reward acquired: Super Strength (Thor)

Come on, I don't need more Super Strength. I want Odin Force!

The Odin Force wasn't just Odin's own power. Its origin traced back to his grandfather Buri, where it was known as the Power of Buri.

For Odin's family, this divine energy acted like a hereditary force passed down through the bloodline. Only those of Odin's lineage could wield it.

In his prime, Odin used this power to even challenge the Celestials.

With each generation, the power grew stronger, also mixed with the power of belief and worship.

The stronger Asgard was, the more powerful this force became. But if Asgard fell, the force would weaken.

This was why Hela, who had inherited the same power, grew stronger when she returned to Asgard and weaker when Asgard was destroyed.

Thor, on the other hand, was less affected since he believed "Asgard is not a place, it's its people." The faith endured, so the power stayed relatively stable.

Bang!

Fenris punched Throg again as he bounced back, then immediately teleported out of the Void.

Hit and run, what a rush.

Throg slid slowly down the glass wall, pressing his four-fingered hand against his aching face. His bulging eyes were full of confusion.

Who am I?

Where am I?

What was I doing?

Wait!

Was someone just here?

And punched me twice?!

Ribbit! Ribbit! Ribbit!

(Who are you? Where are you? Come back, come back!)

Ribbit! Ribbit! Ribbit-Ribbit-Ribbit!

(Come back! Please! I'm begging you, come back!)

Fenris, of course, couldn't hear Throg's croaky pleas. He was already back at Nowhere Unlimited, storing the "junk" he'd collected into his vault.

He also prepared to place the Time Stone inside.

But then, what had been a dim, dull green gem suddenly lit up with a mysterious glow.

The Time Stone was active?

That meant this particular Time Stone likely came from this very timeline!

No way. That's even more exciting than Boruto.

Salute to this outrageous luck.

Never mind the Stone's actual powers, the sheer fortune of finding one like this had Fenris pumped.

True one-shot success.

What was the Time Stone's most iconic ability?

Time Loop.

Even Dormammu, ruler of the Dark Dimension, couldn't stand the endless loops and had to agree to Doctor Strange's terms.

With this, taming someone stubborn like Himiko would be a breeze.

Sure, Infinity Stones don't work in other timelines or worlds. But in this timeline, plenty of people still have extraordinary abilities.

If you can't extract the power you want in one go?

Time Loop. Try again. And again.

This is basically a cheat code for farming abilities!
