Chapter 22 - 23

I shifted my bag as we continued to walk. We're about two hours into traveling, starting to get on into the evening hours. I'm not sure if we're going to encounter that little bit of time distortion that always seems to happen to us, where everyone who travels with me gets where they're going much faster than normal…maybe we will, maybe we won't.

[You know, I think you forgot something else.] Melanie said.

[Oh, oh yeah. We were gonna…right, sorry about that.] I replied. We had planned on sharing a bath, but I guess everyone wanting to get going was able to win out over that. Honestly, I would've thought we were gonna stay at least another night, but that's not the case, clearly.

As the sun began to set, we found a place just a little ways off the road to set up our camp for the night. We let Brock handle fixing supper for everyone, though Lexie and I did help out a little bit. Following that, and a good night's rest, we continued on our way in the morning. I had also called my aunt last night. She was glad to hear that I was doing OK, after what happened yesterday.

"I've got a question. Why is it that you never put your team up?" Ash asked. "I mean, other than your Pidgeotto, anyway."

"It's mostly because of our training, and also because none of them like being in a Pokeball. Mewtwo especially, though that story is not mine to tell." I answered. "Besides, there's plenty of benefits to it anyway, and they're all careful enough to not damage something by accident when indoors. One of the main benefits is Mewtwo's ability to sense everything around us."

"It's also how we were alerted ahead of time, when that storm came through the other day. Solais was able to sense how bad it was." I gently scratched the top of her head, causing her to purr. "As you know, we took shelter in a cave and put a barrier up until it passed. Even if she wasn't on the team, I can tell the signs of a super cell, just by looking at the clouds." I said.

"Gotcha. Still, there are some buildings that aren't going to allow you to do that." Ash said.

"Oh, we know. By the time we get to them though, we'll have already figured out a way around that problem." I replied. The rest of our trip was spent in silence, mostly. My Pokemon were mostly talking to each other, discussing potential battle plans or things for training in the future. I had brought up the idea of another free-for-all training battle last night, and they agreed.

[Break]

Mewtwo's expression changed slightly. Even with his eyes closed, I knew he was aware of something we didn't know about. It wasn't much longer before we saw what had alerted him. It seems that we're in Safari Land now.

Which probably means that the big race from episode…thirty three, I believe, is going to be coming up pretty soon. I know for a fact that Kaorah and Lexie are both going to want to join in on it. This could end very interestingly, as those two are very, very fast. It's likely that there won't be much of a competition for first and second, instead making the others compete for third.

Originally, Ash would've tried to catch one of the Taurous, but decided not to. Mainly because anyone he sent out would be massively outnumbered. Unless he decided to try and borrow Kaorah, but what would be the point, anyway? Her thumping the ground for an Earthquake would be felt, for sure. It could possibly alarm the owners of the ranch, and would certainly damage the surrounding area.

"Hi guys." A voice met our ears, and we turned to face its owner. A Growlithe, who had run up to us while we were looking at the Tauros.

"Hi there." I was the first to greet him, in return. "Where's your trainer at?" I asked.

"Oh, this way. Come on, I'll take you to her." He turned, and began to walk away. As we began to follow him, Misty spoke up.

"I don't think I'm ever going to get used to the fact that you can do that." She said.

"Understand Pokemon? Yeah, it'll wear off eventually, either from you starting to have Starmie translate stuff for you, or having me handle that job. Still though, it's possible for anyone to learn, if you have a Lucario or an aura adept to teach you." I replied.

"Oh, yeah, that necklace your Gardevoir has? When did she get that? I don't remember her having one." Ash brought up the necklace that Melanie was wearing. I was wondering when they'd actually notice.

"A little while back, while we were in Celadon." Decided to not mention that Mewtwo took us across the world to Alola. That would cause more questions than I feel like answering. By the way, I spoke a little more with the department in Fuchsia. They had some questions related to a certain case. Melanie's take on the story hadn't quite lined up, and they dug up the files related to the guy's death and funeral. I don't know why they still thought it was a missing person case, anyway.

Maybe something's messing with their databank. Who knows? I mean, aside from a certain pair of time travelers, but that's not any of my business. Unless we're not on the right path.

"I noticed she seems like she's smiling more than usual, all of a sudden." Brock said.

"It's related to something we did in Fuchsia, aside from her using her magic power to save lives." I said.

"Even I've heard about that…I'd be surprised if there was someone who hasn't." Pikachu commented.

"There must be something else, as well." Brock said.

"Sorry to say that I can't really explain. It's her story to tell, if she ever feels comfortable with it." I said.

It didn't take us much longer to find Growlithe's trainer. From there, the conversation went pretty much exactly as it did in the show, only there wasn't a battle to interrupt. Just like the original meeting, she invited them to join the race tomorrow.

"I think I'll join in on this race, as well." I spoke up.

"Wonder who you're going to enter with." Ash said.

"Oh, I've got a pretty good idea. Y'all would be best to aim for second, 'cause you aren't gonna keep up." I knew that for sure. Kaorah's going to totally outrun everybody. Lexie is also more than capable of outrunning everyone else. The fact that I run with her every morning will actually help.

"What's he talking about?" Lara asked. She was the trainer that we had just met.

"My cousin's team is…very strong." Ash said. "I know for a fact that his Garchomp…Kaorah, I think, is for sure. I can't really say anything about…Lexie, right?" She nodded. "Yeah, I've never seen her in battle, until Fuchsia anyway. So, I can't really say for sure how fast she is."

"And everyone on my team is weighted, so with the weights off, they're even faster." I added in. "Normally, we only drop them in battle, during training, or in emergencies. This will be a good test to see how everyone does. If the rules would permit it, I might have everyone in on this." I said.

"You use training weights? I…can't say I've ever heard of someone doing that." Lara said.

"Far as I know, he's the only one who does." Brock said. "Every gym we've been to, so far, he's been mentioned. More often than not, it's with praise, stating that he's definitely champion material." I was glad to hear that people had a positive opinion, especially in this case. It tells me that my training is working, and that my team's way of battling has made an impression.

"Knowing him, he'll be able to pull it off." Ash said. "Ya know, we had a talk before we started our journey, and we made a promise. That we would face each other in the league finals." Oh, yeah, that's right. I believe that I've mentioned before, that he and I hadn't battled. Well, now you know why. We're waiting for the league, because then our match will be seen by all of Kanto, at least. Although, I'm quite sure that league tournaments are going to be seen on TV all over the world.

At least Gamer's Mind has a countermeasure for stage fright. I don't want to know what would happen if I had to deal with that, in front of…however many people that stadium can fit. Of course, the only thing that has to be done for sure, is to train enough to make sure we actually make the finals.

As we continued to walk, I let the conversation fade back to the subject of tomorrow's race, as we walked towards the Laramie Village. Lara was greeted with cheers as we arrived. As in many cases before, I split off from the crowd. Mainly, to begin searching for where Trainers sign up for the race. It didn't take long to find, either.

"Excuse me," I said, "I'd like to sign up for the race."

"Certainly." The Trainer at the desk got a form out, and a pen so that I could write. "If I may ask, who are you going to bring along? You're only allowed to bring one of your Pokemon." he said. I had already thought this over.

"My Garchomp, of course." I began to fill the form out. "If I may ask, is there a way I could have the rest of my team enter, as well? If not alongside me, then as their own teams."

"That's…allowed, I guess. Nobody's really done that before. If you'll have them sign their own forms, I can certainly allow it." I read over the form, before stopping at a line. Lexie was reading along with me, since she was really the only one actually interested.

"OK, so…this says that there's a segment related to Pokemon food?" I asked.

"That's right, it's one of the last few segments. You're required to let your Pokemon stop to eat." He said.

"There's…just one problem. My team doesn't eat kibble, we eat Galarian food."

"Oh, really? Well…I'm not quite sure if there's any exceptions. I'll…have to ask."

"That's fine. And as far as someone signing up, is it possible that a Pokemon could sign up on her own, without a team? She…can't exactly work with anyone else, without slowing down." Lexie waved one of her hands, without looking up from the form she was given.

"No, sorry, she'll need a partner." The Trainer said.

"I can ride piggyback if I need to." Melanie spoke up. "Although I can't do it for a long time, I can make myself lighter, enough to carry without slowing down." I don't remember if she's done that before. Normally, her gravity control is limited to her Force Cloak.

"Uh, sure. Just, keep in mind that outright flying isn't allowed."

"And what about gliding through short bursts of speed?" I asked.

"Uh, that's…never been done before. Since there's no rule against it…I guess it's allowed." Perfect, which means, Kaorah's not going to be hampered.

"Great." Lexie and I finished filling everything out. "We'll be ready for tomorrow. What's the fastest record for clearing the course?" I asked.

"Uh…I'm not sure. Why?"

"Oh, you'll see. I'm not going to spoil it." I said. "Come on guys, let's get some rest in, and get ready for tomorrow."

"This is going to be great. We'll be able to see what we're capable of, at full speed." Kaorah said.

"Yeah, and it'll let us settle who's fastest on the team, without teleporting." Lexie replied.

"Sure will. It's hard to tell in the heat of battle, anyway." Kaorah said.

"After the race, your weights are going to be increased again, more than they have been in the past. Since weight training is working for us, I don't see any reason we shouldn't increase it." Of course, I didn't need to say that I meant everyone, not just Lexie and Kaorah.

[Break]

We were told later on, of an incident. Lara had apparently broken her arm in a fall, after her Ponyta got spooked. Ash, as a result, would be going through the race with him, instead of one of his own. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure who he would've done the race with anyway, since flying is banned.

Since they needed to prepare, I pulled them aside, to a spot that was out of sight.

"What's going on, Zeryph. You don't normally do this when it's my training."

"Maybe not, but you've gotta run with someone you aren't used to, and they're not used to you, either. So, we're going to do this training my way. This isn't combat training, to be clear. Instead," I pulled open a dungeon portal, startling Ponyta. "Sorry, still…this is the best way to cram as much as you can in one night, as time in there, doesn't flow like it does out here. Come on, we start immediately."

There was some hesitation from Ponyta, but eventually, he agreed. Once he and Ash were through, I followed. The portal closed behind us. Kaorah and Lexie were already here, waiting for us to arrive.

They, as well as Mewtwo, had created an obstacle course, one specifically tailored to a Ponyta to run. It had taken a little bit of work, but it'll pay off tomorrow.

"Whoa, how long did this take?" Ash asked.

"A few hours, but it's ready. Don't worry, it's meant to be run by a pair, such as yourselves. We're going to have you run the course, until you get tired. The ground is padded, so neither of you will be hurt if you fall. When you're ready, we can get started."

"Lara has…never done anything like this. But, if it'll help me prepare for tomorrow, I'll do it." Ponyta said.

"That's the spirit. Besides, I'm also going to be racing, and you can see what you're going to be up against." Kaorah wrapped her arms around me, from behind. Lexie also stepped up, beside us.

"These two are going to be going all out, tomorrow. Unfortunately, there's not really a way for us to get you weight trained up to their level, in a single night, as we've been doing it for a lot longer. So instead, we're going to make sure you can still pull off a podium." I said.

"Are they really that fast?" Ponyta asked.

"With the weights off, they sure are. Anyways, we've got training to do, so let's get to work." I said. We spent the next several hours training, until it was almost morning. As the false-sun began to rise in the dungeon world, Ash and Ponyta nearly collapsed from exhaustion. Despite taking breaks to rest and occasionally eat, the training we put them through, still tired them out.

"Remind me…not to…ask, for intense training, in the future." Ash commented. Ponyta barely nodded in agreement.

"Hah, if you think that was intense, you should see what we go through." Lexie commented. She had shifted over to the Psychic Type, in order to allow Ash to understand what she said.

"I don't…think I…want to know." Ash replied. I pulled another portal open, then Kaorah and Lexie helped them with leaving. Once they were taken to where they would be spending the night, the girls and I returned to our own rooms in the village Pokemon Center, and got our own rest in.

[Break]

The next morning, we went through our usual routine. Kaorah joined us for the morning exercise, seeing as she was going to need to be ready for the actual race. Lexie actually prepared food, this morning. Not only for our team, but for the other participants, as well.

[Zeryph, I thought you should know something. While I was out yesterday, I found something.] Mewtwo's warning was more than enough for me to prepare for a mind link. The moment his hand touched my forehead, the world faded. I saw into the past, through his eyes, and witnessed a secret meeting. It seemed that one of the participants, someone named Dario, had hired Jessie and James. He wanted them to sabotage the race, and try to take out as many of his opponents as possible, using traps hidden along the course.

"I see." The link faded. "Thanks for the early warning. We'll have to keep an eye out. Although, with as far ahead as we're going to be, they'll have a hard time for sure." I said, quietly.

"Melanie's senses are going to be a big help. Though you're opponents in this race, I see no reason why she can't alert you of any traps." Mewtwo said.

"Exactly. Go ahead and warn them, and if you feel the need, warn Ash, as well. If Dario beats him for third, we can use this as evidence for a DQ." I said.

"Right away. Good luck with the race." As Mewtwo left to warn the others, Kaorah came up beside me.

"Ready to blast through this thing?" She asked.

"Of course. How long a head start do you think we should give?" I asked.

"Fifteen seconds. I've already gotten Lexie to agree to it, as well. It's to at least try to give everyone a chance to gain some ground before we take off. Lexie's going to go at ten, though." And for good reason. I know, already, just how fast we're going to be. I even got some goggles in advance, to keep the wind out of my eyes.

"Perfect. I can't wait to see everyone's reactions, when we take off. The weights are going to be good enough, as it is."

"Well, at least you're not as heavy as they are." I snorted at what Kaorah said.

"Even I have my own set, but they're all coming off. Aside from Lexie, I can't predict that we'll see many competitors once we blast past all of them." I said.

"That's true. Hey, you think Lexie might be able to boost her speed if she uses the Electric Type?" Kaorah asked.

"I don't think we've ever tested that. Still, we'll find out when we actually race. Come on, it's almost time to start." Slowly, people started to turn up to the starting line, not long after we arrived. Though there was a small crowd here, the crowd at the finish will be even bigger.

Brock and his Onix, as well as Misty and her Starmie, had also joined in. Pikachu and Squirtle were also on the line, although that wasn't a surprise. I guess they were accepted, since Lexie and Melanie already were.

"Makes me kinda wish we had something with Eager Edge on it. Would make my lunges even better." Kaorah commented, earning a chuckle.

"Sure, and combine it with Earthquake, you'd be so fast that I wouldn't even be able to stay on." I said.

"Combine what with Earthquake?" Ash asked.

"Sorry kiddo, would take too long to explain right now. I'll tell you later." Anyone who plays Destiny knows what Eager Edge is, and what it can do when combined with certain abilities.

Some of the staff began to hand out numbers, for each of us. And while they were doing that, a broadcast crew was getting everything set up. I guess there's going to be some people who will watch from home. Since it's a…yearly thing, I believe…I can't say I'm surprised. I had called my aunt last night, in case it happens to be on TV, but she chose to be here, in person.

If I had to guess, she'll be at the finish line. It's kinda last minute, letting her know what's going on, but I think it's nice to have her be here for the event. In fact, I don't think she does turn up for it, originally. It's a small change to how the timeline is meant to go, but compared to what I've thrown off by being here, it's nothing.

I even made sure to ask Dialga first, to make absolutely sure it wouldn't cause any problems, and he confirmed it wouldn't.

"They're about to give the signal to start. Get ready." Kaorah interrupted my thoughts. As I got onto her back, she helped me adjust so that I wouldn't interfere with airflow. I saw Lexie and Melanie doing their own set of final preparations, with Lexie doing a series of stretches, before she and Melanie figured out a position that wasn't uncomfortable. Piggyback was the original plan, but they decided, last night, that was too awkward. So instead, Lexie's going to carry Melanie, the same way that I'll be on Kaorah's back.

The difference being that Kaorah doesn't have to hold on, thanks to prior experience during training, for emergency situations where flight was a necessity.

"Hope you're both ready." Melanie said.

"Oh, we are. Don't worry about us, unless there's a trap you need to warn us of." I said. "Drop your weights at five seconds, then go at ten. Kaorah and I are going to wait until fifteen."

"Gotcha. Still, see you both at the line." We couldn't share a kiss, due to the presence of cameras, so we settled for a quick hug, before Lexie and Melanie got into position, to start.

I secured my goggles, making sure they were comfortable. I had put on some clothes that wouldn't get caught in the wind, as to not effect air flow in any way. Since, for Kaorah's gliding to work, we needed aerodynamics.

As the signal to start was given, the other competitors took off, all at once, to the sound of the crowd cheering.

"It looks like two teams have stayed on the line. What's going on?" I heard the commentary from above, while counting to five in my head. At five seconds, I gave a signal with my hand. At once, the sounds of latches disconnecting was heard, followed by a loud bang as heavy weights fell to the ground.

Just as we thought, the crowd's reactions were great. If not for our need to be serious, I would've been laughing. We can laugh about it later though.

Lightning coursed up Lexie's legs as she changed Type, then she and Melanie were the first to take off, starting at ten seconds. They quickly became a blur, quickly vanishing into the distance.

"And there goes the Cinderace. But it looks like two are left on the line." The commentator said.

[Redline]

"Ready, girl?" I asked. Kaorah nodded. At fifteen seconds, I signaled forward, and Kaorah took off. The ground cracked from the force of her launching, and the world became a blur. It's fortunate, that thanks to prior training, I won't get sick from moving like this, or have any of the other problems that come with it.

With the wind in my ears, I couldn't hear what was happening, or the startled reactions of trainers as we began to blow past them. The ground cracked with every single step that Kaorah had to take, and I'm sure that was more than enough to alert those ahead.

Pikachu and Squirtle were the first that we passed, actually. Although, unlike our other opponents, they were more than ready for us to pass, as they didn't seem to react, at all. Possibly because they'd already seen Lexie and Melanie.

The other trainers weren't as prepared. And as we got to the uphill segment, our momentum made the climb pass very quickly, although not as fast as if the whole thing were a straight line. The downhill segment that followed would be even faster.

[Watch the hill on the way down. There's a pitfall on the way down.] Melanie's voice echoed in my mind. I didn't need to relay it, as Kaorah would've been told at the same time.

[Thanks for the heads up.] I responded. I could see Ash and Dario ahead, so it's likely they had already been passed. Ash began to brace himself for the wake we had been leaving, but Dario had no prior warning. I was just barely able to see their startled reactions as we blew past them, like we had with everyone else. And since we were in second, there wasn't any reason to keep holding back.

Yes, we actually were. Just enough that we wouldn't cause any harm from the wake behind us. But without anyone other than Lexie and Melanie left, we no longer had to worry.

"Duck, and hold on tight. We're not messing around anymore." Kaorah warned me, and I shifted into the position we had worked on during our practice. When she next hit the ground, at the bottom of the hill, it cracked. When she kicked off, there was a loud boom, and sound around us faded into silence. Even the roar of the wind had quieted down, becoming almost inaudible. This is why we had practiced, specifically for what was going on. Kaorah was going to prove why her species was known as "The Mach Pokemon", and I just happened to be along for the ride.

[Mel, Lexie, may I suggest moving to the side. I don't know how long is between this warning and our arrival, but you're not going to hear us coming.] I warned them, hopefully in time. As fast as we were going, there wasn't any reason to try and look around.

The stepping stone portion was visible ahead, and at our speed, we were going to blast right through it. I could just barely see that Lexie and Mel had finished crossing, and we were gaining on them incredibly quickly. I saw a barrier flare to life, and wasn't able to see much more as we pretty much flew past them, the ground shaking slightly as Kaorah used another push to keep her speed up.

It wasn't us running past I was worried about, but the sound it was going to make. I'm reasonably sure we're at mach one, and it's only thanks to Gamer's Mind that I can even keep up with what's going on, even if it's just barely.

Making a note now, to train with this later on. If I can get to the point I can think fast enough to keep up with speed like this, It's going to be a major help in the future. As we came up to the segment with the Pokemon food, Kaorah hit the breaks, using the ground to slowly slide to a stop, rather than stopping instantly, as the G's from that wouldn't be good for either of us.

We had a discussion with the officials, the night before. Since my team didn't eat the kibble that most Pokemon received for food, they agreed that we would be allowed to substitute it with Curry. Because of this, Lexie prepared enough for herself, Melanie, and Kaorah. She prepared it, then stored it in containers that I have in my inventory.

Speaking of which, the former two arrived not too long after we stopped, and I was quick to hand it all out. There was enough for it to be considered a light snack, but also just enough that it wouldn't mess with the rules any.

"I'm glad you warned us ahead of time." Melanie said, as Lexie and Kaorah started to dig in. "I never would've guessed that you were going to push it that far."

"Yeah, but she hasn't really gotten to move at full speed. Even in battle, she doesn't have to move that fast." I said. Melanie started to dig in, as well. Since we were so far ahead, we had plenty of time for them to eat.

And as they were, other teams started to catch up. Dario's Dodrio seemed slightly fearful of us, myself and Kaorah, as they'd been one of the many who didn't have a prior warning.

Apparently, this worked in their favor, as they all dug in and began to eat at the same time, rather than getting into an argument over who got to eat first, like the original. As the other three teams caught up, Dario seemed to signal someone, prompting an attack from Team Rocket. Well…I'm sure that was the plan, anyway. It seems that a certain someone, had already taken care of them, as they didn't show up when signaled.

"Oh, sorry, were you expecting someone?" I asked.

"What? What do you mean?" Dario asked, in return.

"Oh, I dunno. White outfits, red 'R' on the shirt."

"How did you know about--"

"Dude, I have two Psychic types, technically three, on my team. One of which has a…history, with Team Rocket. That specific one just so happened to have found your little meeting with them, yesterday." Kaorah tapped my leg, signaling that she was done with her food. Lexie and Melanie also finished up, about the same time.

"It just so happens, I was also informed of what was going on. So, I had him take care of the interference. You won't be having any outside assistance with cheating the race, anymore." I hadn't mentioned that earlier, but it is indeed true. Mewtwo had already dealt with them, through one of his many uses of group teleportation.

"Whatever…we've got a race to win." I settled back into position. "Word of advice, cover your ears." I didn't get to see how they reacted, because we were off in an instant. Fast enough that they wouldn't be catching us, but just slow enough that Lexie and Mel were able to just barely catch us, using that trick with the lightning that she came up with. I guess Kaorah managed to predict that one.

[Lexie wants one of your massages when we're done with this.] Melanie said.

[Oh, really?] I asked.

[Yeah, I've been channeling healing magic to her legs, but they're starting to burn, ironically since she's a Fire Type normally.] Melanie said. Kaorah and Lexie were now focused solely on making things interesting, having apparently decided to run the last bit of the race, side by side.

[I don't know what you did, but that boom has caused quite a bit of chaos.] Mewtwo's voice echoed through the link.

[Kaorah may have decided to break the sound barrier.] I said.

[That would certainly explain it. You've freaked out everyone, at the start and the finish. Even the commentators were startled. Camera crew lost track of both of you.] Mewtwo said. [Still, it would be wise to not blast through the line at that speed, too risky.]

[We know. We'll be there pretty shortly, I can see the line from here.] We were closing on it very, very fast.

[Sorry Melanie, my legs are starting to give. I'm not gonna be able to push it any further.] Lexie said.

[I guess this means that I win.] Kaorah said.

[Seems that way, but it's a reason to train, and get ready for a rematch in the future, one where it's just a long straight line with no obstacles.] Lexie said. She began to fall back, as her legs began to weaken. Kaorah and I were the first across the line, using the space just past it, to slow down. Lexie and Melanie were just behind us.

The crowd roared with applause, around us. It was about half a minute before Ash caught up, on the back of a Rapidash now. Dario and Dodrio were right next to them, close enough that their position had to be decided by a photo finish. Aunt Delia walked over to congratulate me, as well as a few of the Laramie trainers, one of which handed a flag to me.

As I pulled the goggles off my head, I fixed my hair back into its usual spiky state, as it had been blown backwards from the wind.

"What was that explosion we heard?" Delia asked, as we started to walk off to the side.

"That was the sound of us going mach one." I patted Kaorah on the shoulder.

"Mach one?!" Dario shouted behind us. "That has to be cheating!"

"No, sir." One of the Laramie trainers said. "She never flew, it was all running, at a very impressive speed, might I add." He showed us a list of rules, similar to what we read when we signed up. "If you look at this, there's no rule about how fast you can move, so long as you're not actually flying. This Garchomp used the ground in order to push, rather than use her ability to fly."

"Which is exactly how we managed to move so fast. Her species, Garchomp, is known as the Mach Pokemon, for a reason." I said. "If she were actually allowed to fly, Kaorah would've finished this race much, much faster than we did today." The last of the remaining teams, eventually, caught up, as we were talking.

Lexie had all but collapsed nearby, and she looked exhausted. I can understand why, considering how much effort she put into this. As the rest of our team caught up, Mewtwo returned the weights we dropped at the start, and we shared a short laugh over people reacting to the weights hitting the ground.

"Alright, everyone. Let's go and get a proper meal to celebrate, then take some time to rest. We hit the road again, tomorrow morning." We started to head for the village Pokemon Center. Tomorrow is…safari day. Which is…going to be very interesting, to say the least. Since I know from the contest Ash told me about, that banned episode stuff is also covered by the timeline.

Which means, we're going to have to deal with tomorrow's events as they happen. And to think, all the mess was over someone saying something about a Dratini. Heh, if it were like the games, the Safari Zone would still be just fine, and wouldn't have been ruined.
