While the other kids enjoyed mangoes and watermelons at home, Lin Tianxin and Shan Jiasheng were stuck in "Vacation Re-Exam Coaching."
Tianxin sat with her head down on the desk, dramatically mumbling, "Why is life so cruel to beautiful girls like me?"
Jiasheng, lounging on his chair, replied, "Because beautiful girls like you never study."
Tianxin grabbed his eraser and threw it at his forehead. "Then why are you here, Mr. Rubik's Cube Champion?"
"I'm here to support you," Jiasheng grinned. "Moral support. Emotional chaos."
The classroom was half-empty. Only a few students were there, including one boy who slept with his mouth open and another who kept reading comic books inside his math textbook.
The teacher gave them an impossible question.
"Solve this equation using the correct method."
Tianxin blinked at the board. "Is this a math question or a spell from Harry Potter?"
Jiasheng leaned over and looked at her notebook. Instead of numbers, she had accidentally drawn a dinosaur trying to do math.
"…What is this?" he laughed.
Tianxin blinked. "That's my inner spirit. It's confused."
Later That Day
They both sat under a shady tree, eating popsicles.
"Hey," Tianxin said, "I think I might actually pass this time."
"Same," Jiasheng replied. "Maybe."
Suddenly, she noticed a mark on his hand.
"What's this?"
"Oh," he said casually, "I wrote formulas on my hand with a pen. Exam survival strategy."
Tianxin gasped. "You cheater!"
Jiasheng grinned. "It's called creativity."
Meanwhile…
Junxi and Zhou Rui were enjoying their real vacation.
Junxi sent a photo of his cold drink to the group chat with the caption:
"Tastes like freedom "
Tianxin replied:
"Tastes like betrayal "
