[ Chapter V (5): "03/20/2025— THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO MURDER GOBLINS IS BY USING A PEANUT BUTTER JELLY WITH A BASEBALL BAT!" ]
[ "No, no, no! D-don't go inside, wait for me to kill some of you first!" ] Elias cursed at himself, as he then throws away an old shoe to the last Goblin that was able to infiltrate the building that he is in. [ "Crap!" ]
He took out about 4... The bodies of theirs could be seen laid out flat on the ground, dead on the slight ashen street. The remaining 15+ or-so Goblins? They went inside the building, which to Elias eyes would be a problem... but not entirely, as his Domain does protect him, and he has a perfectly useful baseball bat to boot.
[ "I'm entrusting my life to you, sweetheart." ] Elias grumbled to himself as he then grabbed his Baseball Bat, getting a feel at it, on how heavy and light it is— before ultimately opening the door of his heavily sealed apartment... [ "Damn it, why did I cover this up so much?!" ]
He sure did use most of the stuff inside his room to protect himself from outside, via covering the door and window of his. That was of course slowly stripped away by Elias as he then realizes his powers... Which is yet to encompass the room of his, but at the very least it's something.
The door isn't inside the protective red light, that's fine, as he could always step back and be under it without worrying about dying. As for now, he needs to make sure that this door is opened up for the Goblins to see and enter... Something that he assured after some great difficulty, [ "Finally!" ]
[ BANG ] Kicking open the door, he then removed the remaining obstacles, moving them to the side as he then tries to glance out the door... But stop as he didn't continue, instead going back inside his protective barrier for safekeeping.
He doesn't know what's going outside his apartment doors, there might possibly monsters camping out other than Goblins, or something else... The chance is very unlikely, but that's a chance he isn't willing to take, especially because he has now only gasped the possibility of living.
After some time, he waited, and waited, and waited. This old piece of crap which is oftentimes wrongfully assumed as an apartment building, it only has one stairway and no elevators... So, he patiently waited to hear something on his left... After some time, he finally heard them.
[ "-ekeekee!" ] Disgusting as ever, a low yet high pitched guttural noise, multiple of them coming from the stairways, approaching ever the more closely as seconds goes by... To say that Elias isn't worried would be stupid, he is; even sweating in anticipation, as he bit his lip.
[ "AAAAAAAH!" ] Taking a step back inside the barrier, he then let out a loud scream to alert the Goblins to where he is, of course grinning as he ever does so. You see, Elias hates people— or anything that lives, also one that does bad without proper reason other than greed, or other sins in general
To him you could do a sin, but for the benefit of most amount of people... Not yours, but for others; to him that is less of a sin but more of an need to be done. Even before the Apocalypse he believes that, causing conflicts on all parts of his life due to this... To some extent, he is slightly distorting the teachings of his late mother.
But can she really blame him? Especially with plain villains roaming the street under the guise of humans, he once punched one in his previous call center job causing him to get fired, reported and did community service as due punishment...
But now, those said villains that openly sins aren't humans, but are plain demons killing people wantonly... Humans; either old or young, men or women, helpless or not, it doesn't matter to them at all, as they all get hunted down by Goblins for Elias city's case, to other cities and such... He doesn't know. But what he does know is that, Elias got the front seat devils playing with people.
With not being able to do a thing, he let his Introverted personality and push down his morals... Ultimately shutting himself inside his apartment no matter what happens on the outside. But now, with the need to do this— to kill monsters in exchange of living, he does the said act with a smile to his face. [ "AHHHH! I'M HERE, C-COME GET ME!" ]
A second later, a small hand came into view... Due to the small corridor outside not having any lights, he wasn't able to see it clearly. But thanks to the red lights which comes from his Domain, he was able to clearly see it... A dem- Goblin hands, the most close-up he has ever gotten to see one, as second later the face came up, grinning wildly holding a wooden club.
The smile on Elias' face slowly falters before then disappearing, as he then contemplates if he should continue with his plan... Especially with more Goblins appearing one-by-one in front of him, all holding weapons, all smiling, all alike in ways that is truthfully horrifying.
But in seeing the short stature of the monsters, about half of his height, in the 2.5-3 feet tall margin; his face slightly smiles, as he then watches them rush to him, as their faces collides with his mystical never faltering red barrier. [ "You guys can't enter, can you?" ]
Gripping his Baseball Bat, he asked them, as sweat falls from the side of his face— extremely excited in wanting to bash some greenskin skulls. But also worried that his barrier may break, and that he might die getting stab by them, then eaten, then tortured, most likely not in that order. [ "Haa, you all idiots really can't!" ]
After confirming his suspicion, Elias deliberately made provoking movements as to stir the anger of the piling Goblins in front of him. Due to lack of explosives, or anything that could cause an explosion, he needs to do this in the most basic form of murder— and that'll be bashing their heads.
He watches as the Goblins punch, stab, shoot, and beat the red barrier of his to no avail. After some time, Elias who's enjoying this scene is jumping slightly in the air, as he then channels all what remaining strength and adrenaline he has on his first swing on the nearest Goblin.
[ "Homerun!" ] The tough wooden bat collided with the monster's head, like a whack-a-mole it was ained at the top most part with the purpose to nail the bugger before then killing it with another swing. But to Elias' surprise, the greenhead of the monster... it surprisingly fell apart. [ "Heh?" ]
[ GOBLIN LVL. 3 KILLED BY PLAYER! ]

Like a watermelon, the said monster's head exploded, dying as it then sprays black disgustingly oozing blood on Elias' floor, to the other Goblins, and to Elias' newly bought Baseball Bat... Which doesn't seem to be enchanted in any sort of way.
Seeing the red slit eyes of the other Goblins widen in shock, Elias couldn't blame them, as he too widens his eyes in shock... He knows Goblins are easily killed, by bullet, by crowbar, by knife— from his limited observations that is, but he didn't know it was this easy to do that. [ "Holy...!" ]
Seeing the opportunity, he pulled back his gooey Baseball Bat and swung it to another Goblin, as he then killed another... Then another, then another... Then ano- [ "This is bloody awesome!" ] With a demonic-like smile to his face.
[ GOBLIN LVL. 5 KILLED BY PLAYER! ]

The Goblins which we're trying to force their way in, stopped, as they then for probably a rare occasion— showed one another and to Elias, what a Goblin that fears death looks like. Stepping back, they then was about to regroup and think of a plan; worse case scenario is flee... [ "Don't go!" ]
But one was immediately stopped, as he then gets his body hit, flying to the side in doing so before then splattering, not dead, just heavily injured. The remaining Goblins, which is about 11 in total watches in fear as Elias takes a step out of the barrier. [ "I'm not done yet... my little credit far-" ]
An hiding Goblin shot an arrow to him before then running away, getting him off guard as he then steps back inside the Domain of his. Annoying him, and causing him to want and kill the Goblins even more. [ "Damn it, was it you?!" ]
He then point his bat to the greenskin crouched with a bow in hand. Closing his right eye, he imagines on bashing the thing's skull in, if possible, then worse than that... But to his dismay, the monster felt fear as it was then the first one to run away from the scene of the crime.
[ "NO! My money!" ] Feeling a single bead of tear falls from the side of his face, Elias could see the Goblins— his walking piggy banks running away, as they then felt fear or whatever Goblin equivalent of that... As they all then ran away from him, [ "C-come back, please! NOO!" ]
In annoyance, he grabbed the nearest knife from the deceased Goblin nearby and with all his anger threw it at the back of one fleeing greenskin; the said monster slow in running away, and ignorant to dodge, as the rusty knife then plunge it's way in, causing the said thing to be left behind.
[ "KeeeeEeee!" ] Crawling away, the said Goblin with his enhanced vision that could see through darkness watches carefully as his kin, all fearless, reckless, supposed monsters that only knows torture and hunting couldn't believe it...
As they are the one being hunted, thus feeling fear, thus running away leaving 2-3 of their kin that is still breathing... Showing absolute fear in face of death, something that Goblins rarely show. [ "Damn..." ]
Stepping on the foot of the said crawling Goblin, Elias could hear the thing squeal like a pig, trying to forcefully pull his feet away... But this just caused Elias to plant his feet more firmly on the monster's hand, as his barefoot then kicked the monster square to the face, then killing the said thing.
[ GOBLIN LVL. 3 KILLED BY PLAYER! ]
So does the other remaining Goblins which still has floating name tags above their head— 2 in total which he then finished off, hearing their squeal getting abruptly cut off as they does. [ "Sheeesh, ugly fellow." ]
Coughing slightly to himself, Elias couldn't believe the smell of theirs, unbearable to the extreme as he tries his best to hold on. Not being able to do-so as he then runs inside his Domain, taking a huge swig of air— not pure-pure, but still is considered more bearable than the out. [ "Ughh!" ]
Choking on the air, Elias was able to quickly realize a certain feature of his Domain...
All things outside without his permission couldn't enter, that isn't limited to life forms like Goblins which in his eyes aren't even worthy to have life, but it also includes air. In short, anything solid, gas and possibly liquid wouldn't be able to enter his domain unless he wants for them to so.
Which is, heavensent at the moment, he of course doesn't want to inhale any and more of the air outside, which is tainted by the corpses of deceased greenskins.
[ "Oh yeah, no wait!" ] Elias paused his drama, as he then realizes the fact that he could still kill the fleeing Goblins through the window... In joy, he grabbed a furniture nearby and wait just out the window, the anticipating smile without teeth showing to his face... fingers itching to move.
Seconds later, one Goblin did the fatal mistake and shown it's head to Elias... Which he then abused, as he then throws the heavy wooden furniture on his hand, on the fleeing greenskin below. [ "Dead!" ]
[ GOBLIN LVL. 2 KILLED BY PLAYER! ]
[ "COME ON, LET'S GO BABY!" ] Seeing this scene, the other Goblins froze in shock, as they then looked at one another before running wildly on all directions they could other than inside the building...
To Elias our protagonist on the other hand, in seeing the effectiveness of his strategy, he camped out the whole night doing this act over-and-over again, as Goblin carcasses and furniture kept pilling on the front of his building... This being his hunting strategy.
