"Master Urouge!"
"Master Urouge!"
At that moment, numerous figures rushed toward the Sky Temple in the distance—it was the group of monks who had once broken their vows under Urouge.
"Master Urouge, are you alright?!"
The rogue monks gathered beside him, their faces filled with concern.
"I'm fine," Urouge shook his head, then said solemnly, "You need to go to the town immediately. Everyone on this island must evacuate. Skypiea is about to be destroyed. Move, now!"
"Understood, Master Urouge!" Hearing his words, the monks immediately grasped the gravity of the situation and sprinted toward the town.
"What are you doing?!"
At this moment, Salmar awoke and saw the other monks still frozen in shock. He grew furious and barked, "Are you all fools?! Why are you just standing there?! Help the others evacuate the townspeople—hurry!"
"Yes, Lord Salmar!"
The monks who had remained loyal snapped to attention and rushed off to assist with the evacuation.
"Enel!"
After the monks left, Salmar looked up at the sky and roared Enel's name. Holding the sacred pillar in his hands, he leapt toward the God of Thunder.
"You dare challenge a god with the power of an insect?"
Enel sneered at Salmar, then raised his arm toward the sky. A streak of lightning burst from his fingertips and shot into the clouds, charging the atmosphere. He then pointed at Salmar and declared:
"El Thor – Judgment of God!"
A colossal pillar of lightning fell from the heavens, aimed directly at Salmar.
Whoosh!
Just before the divine thunder could strike, an aged figure leapt through the air, landing protectively in front of him—it was the elder monk from the Sky Temple.
BOOM!
The Judgment of God struck the old monk, instantly charring his body into a blackened silhouette.
"Master!"
"Elder!"
Salmar caught the elder monk's body mid-fall and cried out in anguish. Urouge rushed to his side.
"Salmar… don't mourn," the elder monk said, his charred face strangely serene. "I foresaw this day long ago—when the Great Temple was destroyed, the Sky Temple was doomed as well. It was always fate."
"With the fall of the Sky Temple, the monks will become wanderers. Salmar, I entrust them to you."
"I will, Master," Salmar nodded through tears. "But you're going to be alright!"
The elder turned to Urouge, his voice weakening. "Urouge… the karma that bound you to this place has finally ended. From now on… live for your dreams."
With those final words, the old monk lost consciousness.
"Master…" Urouge's face crumpled as tears streamed down his cheeks.
"Yahahaha! Don't cry—you'll be joining him soon!"
Enel laughed maniacally. He raised his golden staff toward the sky, charging it with divine energy. The thunderclouds above surged with light before discharging an overwhelming barrage of lightning across Angel Island.
"Raigo – Thunderstorm of the Gods!"
Countless bolts of lightning rained down like a divine flood, engulfing the island. Screams erupted from the town as the lightning struck indiscriminately.
"Ace… can you stop him?" Urouge turned to Ace, his tone calm, but his eyes filled with desperation and hope.
"I'll try." Ace nodded, transforming his lower body into flames and flying into the sky.
"Fire Fist!"
Ace launched his signature attack toward the thunderclouds, hoping the inferno would disperse them. But instead of dissipating, the clouds grew even thicker and darker.
"Yahahaha! Foolish! Fire only feeds thunder! It won't save you—it will only hasten your end!"
Ace returned to the ground and shook his head. "He's right. The thunderclouds have grown too massive… we can't stop it anymore."
Ace felt frustrated—he wished he could do what Luffy did in the original timeline, dispersing the thunderclouds. But here, with no giant gold structures around to conduct the lightning, he had no way to redirect or counter it.
"He hasn't finished charging his final move yet," Ace said. "You should focus on evacuating everyone. I'll hold him off and buy time."
"Thank you, Ace!" Urouge bowed with gratitude. He and Salmar then hurried to assist the remaining townspeople, carrying their wounded master with them.
"You think I'll just sit here and let you run?"
Though Enel didn't care about the lives of Sky Islanders, he would not allow anyone to defy him under his divine gaze. He aimed at Urouge and Salmar, readying another attack.
"El Thor!"
"Fire Fist!"
Ace intercepted the divine strike, launching another flaming fist that shattered Enel's electrical body mid-air. Enel's form burst apart, scattering into sparks—but moments later, he reconstituted himself with a flash of lightning.
"I told you—I'm here to buy time. As long as I'm standing, you won't lay a hand on them," Ace declared with a smirk.
Enel scowled at Ace. Although Ace couldn't defeat him, he couldn't overcome Ace either.
"Why are you helping these Sky Islanders, Blue Sea dweller?" Enel asked. "You and I are the same—Logia users, wielders of elemental power. We are gods among men. Why not join me?"
"With our strength, we could conquer the endless land below!"
"Sorry, but I already have a crew I love," Ace replied coolly. "And I'm not interested in being some false god."
He glanced up at the sky. "You think you're unbeatable because of your Logia powers. But you're delusional. In the Blue Sea—especially in the New World—there are dozens of people stronger than you. Plenty of Logia users, and even more Haki users who could shut you down in seconds."
"If you went down there with that attitude, someone would cure your 'god complex' real quick."
"Lies!" Enel snapped. "My power is absolute—no one can defeat me, anywhere!"
He had no idea what the "New World" or "Haki" even meant, but his pride wouldn't allow him to believe such people existed.
"Believe what you want," Ace said, eyes sharp. "But as long as I'm here, you're not touching anyone."
Enel smiled coldly as his body rose higher into the air. He reached toward the thunderclouds again, smirking.
"Then let's see how long you can last."
