Urouge suddenly appeared in front of Enel. His body, originally only 3.8 meters tall, suddenly expanded to over 7 meters. With a roar, he brought his massive fist down toward Enel.
Enel glanced at Urouge's incoming attack with a contemptuous smirk. He didn't even bother to move—still lounging with his head propped up by his hands, letting Urouge's punch come right at him.
But just before the fist connected, Enel's expression shifted.

With a stunned look on his face, Enel took the full force of Urouge's giant punch to the face. The blow collapsed the roof and sent him crashing deep into the temple.
"What?! That actually landed!"
"Could it be like the Divine Pillar—able to strike Lord Enel's true body?"
"No... he wasn't holding anything! That was just a punch. How did he touch Lord Enel's lightning body?"
The priests were shocked. They knew Enel's powers well—normal attacks couldn't touch his lightning body. Only weapons infused with Seastone—like the Divine Pillar—could hit him physically.
Yet Urouge had landed a blow barehanded.
The people of Skypiea had no knowledge of Haki, so the scene before them was completely incomprehensible.
Even Enel himself was caught off guard. He hadn't expected Urouge to be capable of bypassing his Logia intangibility.
"Is this the power of the so-called Karma-Karma Fruit?" Enel rose from the rubble, wiping blood from his lips. He stared at Urouge—whose body was still greatly swollen from his ability—and muttered thoughtfully, "No wonder the elders said the Karma Fruit could oppose the Goro Goro no Mi… It can hit a Logia's real body."
He raised his golden staff and added with a smirk, "But merely being able to touch a Logia isn't enough. Karma cannot overcome the nature of divine power."
"One million volts—Discharge!"
A bolt of lightning surged from the golden staff in Enel's hand, striking the enlarged Urouge and engulfing him in electricity. Smoke rose from Urouge's body—but he didn't fall.
"Karmic Feedback!"
Urouge roared, his body expanding once more—this time reaching nearly 8 meters. He leapt into the air and threw another powerful punch toward Enel.
Zzzt!
Enel's body transformed into lightning and vanished. He reappeared behind Urouge in a flash.
"There's a difference between 'hitting' and 'hurting,' monk," Enel said coldly. He struck the drums on his back with his golden staff. Crackling thunder erupted from them and shaped into a thunderbird. With a flick of his cane, Enel sent the lightning bird hurtling toward Urouge.
"Twenty million volts—Thunderbird!"
Boom!
The thunderbird slammed into Urouge. The intense lightning made his entire body spasm, thick smoke pouring from his mouth. He fell from the sky, crashing into the ground.
"Huff... Huff..." Urouge struggled to rise. His scorched face still bore a stubborn smile. He looked up at Enel and muttered, "What a despairing gap... Can humans really possess this kind of power?"
"Of course not," Enel sneered. "From the moment I received this power, I ceased to be human. I became a god!"
He raised his finger skyward, his arm turning into pure lightning.
"Let me end this... with divine judgment."
"God's Judgment!"
Boom!
A massive lightning pillar shot down from the sky, aimed straight at Urouge.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a burst of fire shot in from the distance and landed next to Urouge, transforming into a man—it was Portgas D. Ace!
"Fire Ring—Flame Pillar!"
Ace swung his arms, and swirling flames spiraled upward, forming a fiery column. It clashed against the descending lightning pillar. The two forces collided with a thunderous roar before canceling each other out.
"Ace!" Urouge stared at him, touched. We only met once, and yet he's willing to face such a terrifying enemy for me… Could this be—karma?
Seeing Urouge's gaze, Ace chuckled. The invitation was now a done deal.
"Sorry," he said, "I overslept."
He turned to face Enel. "I'll handle things from here."
Ace wasn't certain he could defeat Enel—but he was confident Enel didn't know how to use Armament Haki, which meant he wouldn't lose. And that was enough.
"A Blue Sea dweller?" Enel said, narrowing his eyes. "You too wield the power of nature. We are alike. You should not be my enemy. You—like me—have the potential to become a god."
"Join me. Become my right hand. Let us conquer the endless land together!"
Ace scoffed. "Sorry, not interested in being a god. As for partners..." He turned and looked at Urouge. "I think I've found someone more suitable than you."
"Is that so...? What a shame." Enel's eyes grew cold, filled with killing intent.
He raised his staff again and struck the thunder drum behind him. In a roar of thunder, dazzling lightning burst forth, forming another thunderbird.
"Thirty million volts—Thunderbird!"
Under Enel's control, the roaring lightning bird tore through the sky toward Ace. This one was larger and faster than the last.
"Fire Fist!"
Ace raised his fist and threw a blazing punch. Flames exploded forth, condensing into a massive fiery fist that clashed with the thunderbird midair.
Boom!
Lightning and flame collided, leveling the surrounding structures. The resulting shockwave blew away the nearby divine soldiers and monks alike.
"Thunder Blade—El Thor!"
In a flash of lightning, Enel appeared in front of Ace. The golden staff in his hand, superheated by thunder, had been reshaped into a glowing blade. With a cold gleam in his eyes, he stabbed forward at Ace with blinding speed!
