Rain and the two mercenary warriors standing at the cave entrance watched in utter disbelief as Xiao Feng controlled an overwhelming number of teeth, launching a relentless assault against the Seven Dukes. They could hardly believe their eyes. They had spent a whole day with Xiao Feng but still had no inkling of who he truly was—how was he able to command such a vast swarm of teeth?
Rain furrowed her brow and asked the warrior beside her, "What kind of supernatural ability is Xiao Feng wielding now?"
The warrior trembled as he replied, "Perhaps it's an evolution of psychic telekinesis. If I'm not mistaken, only those above Level 7 in psychic abilities can manipulate weapons telekinetically in battle. He might even be Level 8—though that's uncertain."
"What? You're saying Xiao Feng is a Level 8 psychic?"
"I can't be sure. We'd need instruments to measure his exact level."
Inside the cave, Xiao Feng had never before controlled so many teeth simultaneously to attack the seven dukes before him.
He manipulated the teeth to hammer ceaselessly at the dukes. Not only did the twin dukes unleash monstrous, beastly limbs from their mutated forms, but the other five also manifested diverse beastly appendages to shield themselves.
Some grew massive tails; others sprouted armored beast carapaces; a few brandished several rigid, swaying tentacles...
Watching the seven dukes all morphing into their beast forms, Xiao Feng showed no sign of slackening his assault. Controlling the teeth, he rapidly closed in on the two twin dukes directly ahead, seizing one monstrous claw from each with both hands.
"Die..." he hissed.
The twins had only been focused on defending against the psychic teeth and hadn't anticipated Xiao Feng's sudden proximity. Suddenly, both felt a fierce electric surge coursing through their bodies, followed by complete numbness.
They each cried out softly before convulsing and collapsing to the ground.
Grasping the twins' claws, Xiao Feng yanked them up, spun once, and hurled them toward Baibai. "Baibai, these two bastards are yours now..."
Baibai responded with a wolfish howl, eyes gleaming excitedly at the two dukes thrown his way.
Meanwhile, the duke who had spoken to Xiao Feng earlier saw the twins subdued and shouted loudly, "Save the twin brothers!"
Waving several sturdy tentacles, he launched himself at Xiao Feng. His tentacles resembled those of the Black Dragon, though while the Black Dragon had dozens—nearly a hundred—the duke's tentacles numbered only a dozen or so.
The tentacle-wielding duke lunged, aiming his appendages at Xiao Feng.
Elsewhere, the duke with the long tail and the one clad in beastly armor charged fiercely at Baibai.
Xiao Feng deftly dodged the tentacle duke's attacks while controlling the teeth to strike back. The tentacles whipped swiftly, deflecting his teeth and forcing them into a fierce stalemate.
The armored duke's hulking physique dwarfed even Old White's broad frame. He dashed wildly atop the beast corpses. When Baibai bit down on one twin duke, the armored duke suddenly slammed his head against Baibai's with a thunderous crash. Baibai staggered, dazed, releasing the twin duke just in time.
Had it been a minute later, Baibai would surely have crushed the duke in one bite.
After colliding with the armored duke, Baibai's pack refused to yield. They relentlessly attacked the armored duke, snarling fiercely to tear him apart. But the massive armored duke, like an unstoppable tank, swung his enormous fists at the wolves nonstop. One punch knocked a black wolf senseless to the ground—an awe-inspiring display of raw power.
The duke with the long tail also charged at a black wolf. Just two or three meters away, he spun suddenly and whipped his tail hard, striking the wolf's head with a resounding crack.
While Xiao Feng handled the tentacle duke with some skill, the other two dukes pressed their attack simultaneously.
Facing three dukes at once, Xiao Feng instantly felt the pressure multiply.
Inside the cave, the battle swiftly escalated to a fever pitch.
All seven dukes had launched their assault, plunging Xiao Feng, Baibai, and the wolf pack into grave peril.
Rain turned to the two soldiers who had been mere spectators and asked, "What can we do now to aid Xiao Feng?"
One soldier sighed, "We can't help him. This level of combat is beyond us. When battles reach this scale, it's best we stay out of it."
"I agree," the other said. "In such fights, we are but insignificant bystanders."
"Are we just going to stand here like cowards and watch Xiao Feng fight those monsters alone?"
"There's no choice—we're too weak..."
"No! You must think harder. We have to find a way to help Xiao Feng..."
As Rain finished speaking, she suddenly saw a rigid tentacle pierce through Xiao Feng's shoulder. He cried out in pain.
Seeing this, Rain screamed, "No...!"
Yet Xiao Feng remained pinned against the cave wall by the unyielding tentacle, clutching it tightly with both hands. The searing agony and drained psychic energy rendered him unable to control the teeth.
For Xiao Feng, this was a nightmare—but the nightmare had only just begun.
The tentacle duke sneered triumphantly, "Weren't you so strong? Even defeated the Evil Dragon King? Today, you disappoint me terribly. You're utterly fragile."
Then he raised another tentacle, aiming straight for Xiao Feng's heart, stabbing swiftly forward.
Rain shouted desperately, "No! Stop..."
