After cursing under his breath, Xiao Feng charged headlong at the seven dukes. At this moment, only Xiao Feng and Baibai on his side were capable of standing against them in battle. As for Rain and the two mercenary warriors, it was likely time to consider fleeing for their lives.
As Xiao Feng surged toward the seven dukes, brilliant arcs of electricity crackled around his hands, illuminating the cavern so vividly that it revealed the face of the duke before him—still as repugnant as ever.
Startled by Xiao Feng's sudden explosive advance, the duke instinctively stepped back two paces. Immediately, two figures—one to his left, one to his right—darted at Xiao Feng.
Each wielded a longsword, swinging fiercely at Xiao Feng's body amidst bursts of crackling energy.
Their speed was blinding—so swift that Xiao Feng barely had time to react. Catching the gleam of their blades, he abruptly leaned back; the two swords slid past his chest armor in succession.
Nearly toppling, Xiao Feng instinctively braced himself against the ground, using the momentum to spring upward. Yet again, two sword shadows sliced beneath him.
Xiao Feng cursed silently: "Damn, how can they be this fast..." He ignited his body with power and retreated cautiously, scrutinizing the two assailants.
They were nearly identical in height and build, clad in matching attire, brandishing identical longswords, and even bearing the same tattoos on their faces—as if cast from the same mold. Xiao Feng realized they were twins, possessing identical supernatural abilities.
Without granting him a moment's respite, the twins lunged at Xiao Feng once more, slashing their longswords in rapid succession.
Xiao Feng seemed utterly unable to counterattack, forced instead into a desperate dance of evasion. Yet continuous dodging proved futile—several shallow wounds now marred his body.
After narrowly escaping a flurry of strikes, he quickly retreated, panting, crouched low, his gaze locked onto the advancing twins. The cavern's walls were smooth and bare; not a single pebble could be found. The pit was littered with the corpses of magical beasts, rendering his psychic abilities nearly impotent. Moreover, against their velocity, his electric powers offered little advantage.
The more dire the situation, the more his rapid mind sought unconventional solutions. But now, tension clouded his thoughts; he murmured urgently to himself: "Think fast, think fast..."
Suddenly, a spark of inspiration flashed through his mind. He glanced at the corpse of a massive beast lying beside him, its jaws agape in death, teeth razor-sharp. Without hesitation, Xiao Feng ignited his foot and kicked at the creature's fangs.
With a loud bang, he felt as though he had struck an iron wall—his strike utterly ineffective.
He quickly dodged aside just in time to avoid two nearly simultaneous sword slashes, cursing harshly: "Damn it, this is hopeless..."
Meanwhile, Baibai, catching sight of Xiao Feng's actions, immediately grasped the intent. Possessing keen intellect, Baibai turned to a nearby beast corpse, slamming its paw down upon the teeth. The first strike failed, but with a low growl, Baibai smashed again—bang, bang—shattering two teeth at once. Excited, Baibai let out a jubilant howl, clenching the teeth before hurling them fiercely toward Xiao Feng.
With a sharp cry, Baibai launched the jagged teeth.
Xiao Feng, hearing Baibai's call, saw the teeth clearly. A sudden smile crept across his face as he shouted: "Well done, Baibai! Keep going!"
Galvanized by his command, Baibai struck the teeth once more.
Xiao Feng deftly evaded two sword slashes, then enveloped the sharp teeth with his psychic energy. These teeth, from a C-rank magical beast, were capable of biting through steel plates.
Seizing control over the teeth, Xiao Feng launched them at the twin supernatural warriors. Over a short distance, they accelerated to bullet-like speeds. With such lethal sharpness and velocity, killing the two dukes should be effortless.
Yet Xiao Feng had not anticipated that these dukes possessed partial beast transformation abilities—much like Duke Luke had sprouted wings from his back earlier.
Suddenly, monstrous clawed limbs, scaled like a lizard's, sprouted beneath the ribs of the twins, shielding their bodies. The beast teeth charged with crackling energy collided with these claws, sounding like strikes against stone.
Frowning, Xiao Feng swore under his breath, "Damn you bastards..."
But curses aside, Xiao Feng could not stem the onslaught. The combination of longswords and iron-hard claws nearly doubled their offensive might.
Surrounded by such relentless attacks, Xiao Feng erected a psychic barrier around himself, striving to minimize damage.
Meanwhile, Baibai had not been idle. It relentlessly shattered nearly every tooth from the beast's corpse, soon amassing a small pile of sharp teeth on the ground.
Baibai let out a couple of low, eager growls.
Xiao Feng turned toward Baibai with renewed hope. But just as his spirits lifted, a monstrous claw suddenly swung at him—bang!—sending him hurtling through the air, crashing into the cavern's smooth wall before collapsing to the floor.
As he fell, Xiao Feng commanded the shattered teeth on the ground. Instantly, dozens of teeth levitated, surging toward the twins and the dukes behind them with crackling fury.
Xiao Feng was no fool; he would not wait for the remaining five dukes to wear him down, to exhaust his strength and powers before dispatching him. Upon seeing this cache of teeth, he had resolved to eliminate all seven dukes in one decisive strike.
