Alex Ray hung up the phone with a grim expression and glanced at Magneto.

The call had just come from Bullseye. There was a rare sense of panic in his voice—he was clearly in deep trouble.

Bullseye told Alex that he had been carrying out Kingpin's orders to eliminate the Irish gang when he received news that Kingpin's family had been attacked. He had immediately called Alex.

Alex gripped the phone tightly, frowning.

He knew Madam Gao had made her move because Kingpin had threatened her position.

And this time, the target was Kingpin's family—it was clear they intended to eliminate them completely.

At that moment, Alex had no more patience left for diplomacy. He launched a blast of chaos magic directly at Magneto.

The force of the spell was so intense that even Magneto felt the pressure.

He was forced to defend himself fully, manipulating magnetic fields to absorb and counter the attack.

Realizing that Alex was clearly dealing with an emergency, Magneto didn't resist. He immediately stood up and left.

Before departing, Magneto looked at Alex with complex eyes and said, "Thank you. Take good care of them for me."

His voice was low and resolute, as if entrusting Alex with something of great importance.

At the same time, a new set of prompts appeared on Alex's system interface:

"Congratulations, host. Max Eisenhardt has successfully added you as a friend."

"Congratulations, host. You've obtained the attribute: Magnetic Field Generation."

"Congratulations, host. You've gained 10 Friend Points."

"Merge ability now?"

"Yes."

Alex didn't hesitate.

In the next second, he felt a powerful surge flood into his body—the gift of Magneto's power.

He had now fully mastered it and could manipulate magnetic fields at will.

Without wasting another moment, Alex activated high-speed movement, vanishing from the restaurant in an instant and rushing toward Kingpin's location.

. . . . . .

Meanwhile, Kingpin was far from the domineering figure of old.

He wore a black suit, but it was torn and bloodied, clear signs of a recent assault.

His eyes were clouded with anxiety and desperation, locked on Vanessa and their son Richard, who were slowly being surrounded by assassins from the Hand.

Kingpin fought back against Madam Gao's attacks, trying desperately to protect his wife and child.

His movements were swift, blocking her vicious strikes, but his gaze never left his family. He remained alert to their danger at all times.

Yet despite his immense strength, he was visibly faltering.

Not only did he have to fend off Madam Gao's relentless assault, but he also had to guard against the stealth attacks of the Hand's assassins—while trying to keep Vanessa and Richard safe.

The pressure on him was suffocating. His face was pale with fatigue and his breath ragged with effort.

Even as he blocked a strike, Kingpin spat out in fury, "Damn it! Don't touch my wife!"

His voice trembled with rage.

But underneath the fury, there was regret—deep, gnawing remorse. He cursed himself for not anticipating such a brutal strike, even after Alex had warned him. He had deployed guards and stayed close to his family.

He thought the arrangements were airtight. He never imagined Madam Gao would act personally—bringing with her nearly half of the Hand's New York forces.

He had thought himself prepared, but now his heart was breaking. The thought of losing Vanessa and Richard was unbearable.

Kingpin gritted his teeth, clenched his fists, and forced back the rising despair.

His counterattacks became wild and frantic, each blow laced with fury and desperation.

While deflecting his strikes, Madam Gao spoke coldly: "You should have expected this day the moment you stepped into the underworld, Kingpin."

Her tone was icy, merciless. Her eyes gleamed with the cruelty of someone who had long abandoned human empathy.

She ramped up her assault, leaving Kingpin with no room to defend his wife and child.

The Hand's killers closed in on Vanessa and Richard.

They slaughtered the last bodyguards shielding them, raising their blades to finish the job.

Vanessa hugged her son tightly, eyes shut. She could feel death looming.

Kingpin saw it too—and it shattered him. He roared and tried to break through Madam Gao's attack, but she landed a precise strike to his legs.

He collapsed to the ground with a sickening thud.

In that dire moment, a towering figure burst into the chaos.

A tremendous force exploded from the newcomer. He surged to Vanessa's side and punched one of the assassins, sending him flying. Then, with brutal precision, he took out every last Hand agent threatening her.

"No one lays a hand on my Vanessa!" the man roared, his voice thunderous and unyielding.

He stood in front of Vanessa like an immovable mountain, shielding her from all harm.

Madam Gao and Kingpin were both stunned by the intruder.

Madam Gao narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing him, until her expression turned from curiosity to unease.

"You…" she said coldly, with a glint of fear and menace. "Do you know who you've crossed?"

Kingpin, lying on the floor, exhaled shakily. Relief flickered in his eyes.

"Thanks, friend…" he muttered hoarsely, then frowned in confusion. "But why did you call her your Vanessa?"

The man turned around.

Madam Gao's expression twisted in shock. "Kingpin?!"

The newcomer looked exactly like Kingpin—but older. His gaze was sharper, and his aura more dangerous.

Her reaction was understandable. How could there be two Kingpins?

And this one, this new Kingpin—he radiated a presence far more fearsome than the one lying on the floor.

The alternate Kingpin didn't acknowledge Madam Gao. Instead, he sneered at the wounded Kingpin and said, "With your strength, how do you expect to protect Vanessa? Let me do it."

There was a trace of disdain in his tone.

At that moment, Alex Ray arrived at the scene using high-speed movement. He rushed to help the fallen Kingpin to his feet.

Then, channeling his newly-acquired magnetic ability, he raised his hand.

All the magnetic objects nearby—knives, screws, shards of metal—rose into the air and flew like arrows toward Madam Gao, encasing her like a steel cocoon.

Her eyes widened in terror. "Impossible! How do you have that power… That's not Wan—"

But Alex didn't answer.

He stared her down, cold and silent.

Then he clenched his fist.

The magnetic field around Madam Gao tightened with brutal finality.

Her scream was cut short. Her life ended with the sound of crushed steel and bone.

Alex turned to the parallel Kingpin who stood protectively by Vanessa's side and asked, "Mr. Kingpin from a parallel universe… what brings you to ours?"
