Haneul, Hyeri, Jisoo and Hajoon were eating in the school's canteen.
Hajoon to Haneul, " So when are you giving us treat? You are finally dating Hyeri.
Is it not something you should celebrate with us?
Are you going to take only Hyeri on dinner?
I and Jisoo also deserve one too."
He said that so randomly but as he said that, he realised that it might hurt Jisoo.
But Jisoo said in return, "Hajoon is right, we deserve a treat too."
Haneul in his mind, "How can she be so chill about it, it was just yesterday I turned her down but it feels , nothing like that even happened."
As promised he took them to a restaurant, "Congratulations both of you!" Jisoo said with a smile to hide her wounds.
They were sitting together, and it was hurting Jisoo but she made it so invisible with her smile that made all three of them think that she doesn't care.
Somehow Haneul was not feeling well about it, he was with Hyeri but was looking for Jisoo again and again. " How can she smile so naturally?" In his mind.
Hajoon was noticing that Haneul was uncomfortable.
While they were eating, Hyeri received a call, it was from the hospital.
She stood up, while tears were falling from her eyes.
Jisoo asked, "What happened? Is everything alright?"
"My....My grandma is in the hospital,she...she is not ok." she replied.
" Don't worry, let's go there together," Jisoo suggested.
In the car, Hajoon was was sitting in the front with the driver, while the three of them were sitting on the back seats, Hyeri kept on crying so Jisoo was about to hold her hand to relax her but Haneul grabbed her hand before Jisoo.
She looked at Haneul's worried face, it was the same as when he took her out from the Hyeri's house.
She finally realised that, She had lost him forever.
As they arrived, her grandma was lying on the hospital bed, " Grandma, What happened to you why are you lying on the bed like that?" Hyeri asked wiping her tears.
" I am fine my child, I will get well soon," her grandmother replied.
The doctor asked Hyeri to talk in private, Haneul insisted to go with her.
" Your grandmother's heart is so weak, she needs an operation within a month, or else conditions might get even more critical. The surgery costs 50M won arrange it as soon as possible." The doctor said.
Hyeri was hopeless, "How will I get this much money?" She asked herself loudly.
" Don't worry about the money, we will do something," Haneul replied.
She replied, "Thanks but I will arrange money myself, I can't accept your money."
"How will you you arrange this much money yourself?" He asked.
" I will see it myself, please don't get involved in my matters, it's embarrassing when we just started dating two days before," she replied.
They both went back to her grandmother.
After sometime time, "I think you guys should leave now, you might be getting late." Hyeri said.
They all went out of the hospital, then Jisoo said, "Oh I forgot my phone inside, I will go get it now."
Ok until then, I will go get some coffee for us and Hyeri, "Hajoon replied.
She came back late, her face was red and she was sweating.
"What took you so long to get your phone back?" Hajoon asked.
"Oh!... Sorry, since I went there, I thought, I should ask Hyeri if she needs anything, and then her grandma started talking to me, you know how elder people are like." She answered awkwardly.
Next day, Hyeri didn't attend the school.
That day Haneul was not talking properly with Jisoo.
For the whole time she kept on checking her phone like she was waiting for a call or message.
Exactly on 3:00 , she went to Haneul and said,
"Let's go on the rooftop, I need to tell you something."
It was already been 5 minutes, since they were standing on the rooftop's railing, but she kept on checking her phone.
" Is there any specific time when you will actually say something? If you have nothing to say,then excuse me," he asked.
"Wait....
Ok, I will tell you,
Listen carefully, Hyeri, your girlfriend is not who you think she is, her intentions behind dating you are not good, she....she is using you for money."
"Oh really! I can't believe someone could go this far for their selfish desires." He exclaimed." He replied sarcastically.
"Exactly, meeting a rich boy like you and getting you fall for her were all planned."
Haneul's voice lowered, " You know what Jisoo? When I saw you smiling in the restaurant and congratulating us, I thought you were not that serious about your feelings for me, but I was wrong.
I never imagined, you- my childhood friend and first love, could do this kind of planning and plotting."
"What are you saying Haneul?
I am genuinely telling you the truth, her grandmother's illness was all fake, when I went back to get my phone, I overheard them talking, Hyeri said to her grandmother that she did great acting lying on the bed and that they will take down your father's whole business one day."
"I caught her red handed and asked her to tell you herself before 3:00 but she didn't, so I had to tell you myself."she added.
"Stop it, I won't listen anything against her. " He said and turned back to leave.
"So you are not believing the person you know from childhood for a girl you met some days ago?" Jisoo said with a heavy heart.
He left without saying anything.
After school, he went to the hospital again.
Hyeri went running towards him as soon as she saw him.
"Sorry, I was going to call you, but grandma's condition was not well so I was busy with her.
So...so she told you everything?"She asked.
"Yes," he replied.
"Listen, it's not true at all, when she came back to get her phone, she said she will pay for my grandma's surgery, in return, I have break up with you, but I said 'no' , so she said she will tell you that I am a gold digger who is after your money."
"You can break up with me if you want, but believe me whatever she told you was a lie." She added.
He hugged her and said,
"I know, if I didn't go after her yesterday and If I would not have overheard both of your conversation, then may be I would have believed her.
I know her from childhood, and I could never imagine that she could go this far."
Suddenly, tears from his eyes started falling, it was the first time, she saw him like that.
He was heart broken by the fact that Jisoo could do something like that to him.
From that day, they both started to avoid Jisoo.
When Hajoon asked Haneul, "Is there something going on between you three? Why are you both not talking to Jisoo?"
Haneul told everything that happened.
"Wait.. What? She can't even tell a small lie, are you sure she did something like that?"
"I was shocked too, but I heard everything with my own ear." Haneul answerd.
"But it is difficult to digest," Hajoon replied.
Jisoo, since that day she was not talking to anybody.
"Jisoo where's is your mind right now? You are messing up the choreography again and again." Mr. Cha yelled.
"Haneul, teach her the choreography in the lunch break," he ordered.
Looking at Haneul's face which was denying it, Hajoon said, " Mr. Cha I will teach her."
"I asked him for a reason, you are going with me for some formalities in the office, as a leader of the group, your signs are must." Mr. Cha replied.
Hyeri doesn't want him to be alone with Jisoo, but her homeroom teacher called her, so had to go.
"You can go if you want," I will tell Mr. Cha that you taught me," Jisoo said.
"There were times when we used to get scolded because you were not able to hide our mischiefs, but look at you, you are so good at lying now." Haneul replied.
"Can't you even trust me for once Haneul?
The doctor was fake, the illness was fake and your girlfriend, Hyeri - everything about her is fake." Jisoo said with wet eyes.
" How can I trust you,when I heard you blackmailing Hyeri with my own ears?"
After saying that he left.
