Episode 100: "Ashes to War"

---

The sky was on fire.

Dark clouds clashed with streaks of violet lightning, and the horizon trembled under the weight of Nemesis' approaching army. Requiem soldiers marched with chilling precision—half-human, half-machine monstrosities whose glowing cores pulsed like dying stars.

Kara tightened her grip on the hilt of her blade, the wind howling like a siren across the rooftop. Below, the team scrambled to lock down defenses.

"Everyone, positions now!" Adrian barked through the comms. "This is not a drill. This is war."

Kara turned to him, her face calm—too calm. "He's not going to stop, Adrian. We end him today. No more running."

He nodded, eyes locked with hers. "We go together."

Behind them, Shade was hunched over the tactical terminal, face illuminated by flashing red alerts.

"Power grid's compromised," she said. "He's bleeding the city dry—feeding off every last reserve like a parasite."

Zero stepped forward, slamming a cartridge into his gauntlet. "Then we cut him off at the source."

---

Meanwhile, in the mobile command pod floating behind enemy lines, Nemesis watched it all unfold.

"Deploy the Echo Protocol," he said coldly.

A technician hesitated. "But sir… Echo is unstable."

"That's the point."

He turned toward the battlefield, his synthetic face twitching into a cruel smile.

"Let them feel what it's like to drown in their own memories."

---

On the frontlines, Kara suddenly gasped, staggering backward.

A piercing hum sliced through the air, and her vision went white.

Then—

Flashes. Voices.

Her mother's laughter. A white room. Screams. Fire. Adrian's hand pulling her from a burning lab. A gun in her own hands. Blood. Her own?

"Kara!" Adrian grabbed her shoulders. "Focus—come back to me!"

She blinked, her eyes glazed with tears. "He's using my memories as a weapon…"

"They're not his to control," Adrian said, pressing his forehead to hers. "Remember who you are."

Her heartbeat steadied.

She stood.

"I'm the storm."

---

Then came the first strike.

Drones surged like locusts, lighting up the sky with plasma blasts. The hideout's defenses roared to life, intercepting missiles mid-air. On the ground, Tessa and Ronan led the charge, taking out wave after wave of Requiem units.

Kara leapt from the rooftop, blade slicing through the chaos. Her movements were like lightning—raw, unrelenting. Adrian was at her side, his gauntlet charging up shockwaves that tore through enemy ranks.

But Nemesis wasn't there yet.

He was waiting.

Watching.

---

Inside the core of the hideout, Shade was losing control.

"They're inside the system," she shouted. "If I don't shut it down, they'll fry everything—including us."

Zero looked at her, grim. "Do it."

"But the blast radius—"

"I know. Just make it count."

She initiated the overload.

A boom echoed through the compound as a firewall of light swallowed the mainframe, cutting Nemesis off—for now.

But it came at a cost.

The lights flickered.

The power fell silent.

And then… a single figure landed amidst the smoke.

Nemesis.

At last.

His eyes locked on Kara.

"I've come for my end… and yours."

---

To be continued…

🔥 The battlefield is set. The memories are weapons. And one of them will not survive this fight.
