Chapter 15 - The Tournament: Day 4

Stefan carefully watched the four others he deemed true competition. Each of them won their fights or their opponent yielded before the fight began and none of them fought each other. Stefan found that rather interesting until he came up against number one. They both smiled at each other knowing they both would've preferred to fight tomorrow when the weaker werewolves were culled out of the competition.

"This is rather unfortunate."

"Agreed"

"Well let's get to it. You may win but it will not come easily."

Stefan nodded in response and wondered if this wolf would go down easy and join Silver Moon Pack.

He slowly cracked his neck his deep purple eyes never leaving Stefan's face. It was like he was seeking Stefan's intentions in his facial features.

In an instant they both moved and they moved so fast that the ring shook. Their powerful steps embedding foot prints into the floor of the ring and both slashed at the throat of the other. Stefan came to a halt on the other side of the ring, blood dripping from a small cut on his forearm, his opponent was on the opposite end of the ring from him, blood dripping from the shallow cut left on his neck. They both smiled at each other.

"To be honest I am a bit shocked that I could draw blood. I may be more tenacious than I thought."

"So you actually underestimate yourself? This is what your telling me." Stefan scoffed. "I'm not buying."

The dark-skinned man laughed loudly. 'You are truly an interesting one Alpha.'

Internally Stefan was shocked. Then his eyes widened in true shock when the dark skinned werewolf dropped to the floor of the ring in pain. He calmed when he heard Tiffany's voice.

'Don't you ever enter my Lord's mind without permission.'

'You are right Mistress. Please forgive me.'

'Tiffany don't hurt him. See if he can be loyal to me.'

'Yes My Lord.'

Still it took several minutes for the werewolf to calm. Stefan rolled his eyes inwardly when he realized that Tiffany was not going to heal the man's mental injuries.

'He will be alright in a few days.'

Stefan was declared the winner because the dark skinned werewolf couldn't get back up. Tiffany made sure he was comfortable in the house they were renting.

'You took away a good opponent.'

'Sorry. I could not take a chance.'

Stefan understood but he also knew her capabilities and those of his Deltas. He would not have been in danger. Tiffany was so Adept in mental manipulation she could both create and repair any mental damage. She taught herself how to travel brain and all neural pathways to bring about the desired results. So he was confident in her skills.

Not because he heard about them but because he witnessed them in action. Tiffany (Tris) was an extremely powerful Psi.

Stefan was called again and his opponent again was not of his remaining four but this werewolf did not yield.

Good.

He stood over seven feet tall and he was extremely muscular. He was so muscular it made him look rather odd. He seemed like an overstuffed plushy. His hair was a vibrant purple and his eyes were amethyst. He stood across from Stefan for a long moment while Stefan tried to recall any of his fights. He could not recall any.

The giant werewolf bowed. "Greetings Alpha. I have seen many of your bouts and I am very impressed. I hope to impress you a little today as well."

Stefan simply nodded and waited. The werewolf giant went to the weapons rack and too a massive great sword. He held it like it was lighter than air, twirling it in one hand to test its balance. He then came at him, moving faster than Stefan thought he could. The large werewolf brought his sword down quickly and gracefully. When he missed the great sword quickly changed direction and came at him again.

Stefan raised an eyebrow. He hardened his skin on Hai neck and allowed the sword to hit him. There was a loud clanging of metal on metal and his neck hurt like hell. Stefan was impressed. He brought his leg around and knocked the big man down but before his foot could land on his throat the giant werewolf rolled and was on his feet.

Again Stefan was impressed. 'My list should have been of six.'

'Agreed' Both Tiffany and Tar's voices slid through his mind.

Stefan found himself in a true battle and it was interesting. He was not always forced to defend but he was often enough that it sent chills through his being and incited his wolf aspect.

Suddenly the large werewolf transformed and his purple hair seemed to long and curly to be a regular werewolf. His eyes shown like gems and he became faster and more aggressive. When Stefan registered this change he changed into his wolf aspect. Since there were no gasps he was sure that he changed using the colors of Stefan and not Marco.

He began moving faster. He did not need to change just for that. First his wolf aspect wanted in on the fight, second he was showing the giant werewolf respect. Again he came under the big guy, as the sword barely missed him, and kicked out one of his knees. There was a sickening crack but this did not hinder the giant werewolf and he continued by changing the direction of his sword and bringing it back down on Stefan.

Stefan was wholly impressed by now and he did not know if he wanted him in Silver Moon or here with him in Star Fire. Tiffany was quick to suggest.

'Here My Lord. He will be a great bodyguard. One is not sufficient.'

'I agree.'

The decision made he quickly glanced at Amber and saw her eyes light up. He was back in the fight before she nodded but he already knew that she had.

'The new Alpha wants this one too.'

'If he leaves any of him to have he will be with Star Fire Pack.'

Stefan moved his body side ways as he lunged for the big man, again barely avoiding being sliced, this time his shoulder blade was the target. He avoided that strike but the large werewolf could not completely avoid the attack that Stefan unleashed. He did side step but not fast enough and he received a slash-hit to his side.

Bright blood quickly stained his fur and again he acted as if it was nothing. Stefan smiled. He rushed him.

He grabbed his head, turned and flipped him over. But he did all this in a way as not to hurt him. Stefan looked straight into those purple gem like eyes as he spoke.

"Let's stop this my friend. I want you on my side. You already know she is mine."

"Yes My Lord." The sword clattered to the floor.

"I yield."

Stefan winced at how defeated the giant sounded.

'Tiffany?'

'He is okay. He is honored by whatever you offered but he feels he quitted as well. I will help him with this.'

Stefan stood. The judges called the fight and declared him the winner.

The rest of the fights were pretty much uneventful and neither of the four met each other.

Later that night Amber entered a room on the northern side of the compound. This was the designated area for the male alpha of the pack. All of his chosen would reside in these rooms and utilize the facilities here. They had their own hospital, training center, laboratory, conference rooms and more.

It did not mean they could not use these same facilities on the southern side but they did not need to trek a long distance if it was an urgent matter.

The giant werewolf was now asleep, his body completely heeled. She looked to Stefan's new Beta.

"How is he?"

"He is fine My Lady. Lady Tiffany has already been here to see him. She spoke to him and made him sleep. She said she will need to speak with him a few more times, something concerning his past hinders him."

"Maybe something to do with this curly hair of his."

The Beta nodded. "Lady Tiffany believes so as well."

'Then we wait and see.'

Adonis nodded his head. He stood in the shadows watching and protecting his Alpha.
