After leaving Isla Nublar, Jack dove into the sea, switched to gill breathing, and swam into the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean.

With multi-band stealth capabilities and the natural cover of the ocean, humans couldn't track or locate him.

His telepathic perception acted like an underwater sonar, automatically detecting every creature around him.

In the shallow waters, schools of fish moved in dense, swirling groups—herring, cod, salmon, mackerel, manta rays, sharks, and countless others, Jack couldn't even name.

Together, they formed massive, ever-shifting storms of life, flowing with the currents in a spectacular display of motion and survival.

And it wasn't just fish. There were shrimps and crabs, sea turtles and sea snakes, starfish, sea urchins, sea anemones, jellyfish, dolphins, and whales.

It was like watching a grand painting of marine life to Jack—every creature striving for survival under the cold, endless sky.

A month passed in the blink of an eye. Jack had left the waters near Nublar far behind and drifted into the central Pacific.

"I'm hungry again… Time to hunt."

His growing body brought an equally growing appetite.

Now weighing over 6,000 tons, Jack needed to consume at least 10–15% of his body weight daily—about 600 tons of food.

That was no small feat.

For perspective, even an adult blue whale weighs less than 200 tons.

Jack needed the equivalent of three blue whales every day to stay full.

There was no getting around it.

Miss a meal, and hunger hits hard.

Small fish and shrimp no longer did the trick.

Only large prey like sharks or whales could satisfy him now.

Over the past month, Jack had hunted and devoured many large marine creatures—great white sharks, whale sharks, sperm whales, even blue whales.

And along the way, he picked up several new genetic traits:

[Electric Ray Gene: Discharge LV1 (0/10)]

[Box Jellyfish Gene: Neurotoxin LV1 (0/10)]

[Peacock Mantis Shrimp Gene: Attack Speed LV1 (0/10)]

The most notable was the electric ray's discharge ability.

Electric rays possess muscle-modified organs in their pectoral fins filled with thousands of discharge cells.

These cells are separated by a gelatinous substance that adds resistance, and nerves connect them with positive and negative ends, functioning like tiny biological batteries.

When activated, these discharge organs work in unison to generate high voltage.

The ray can release bursts of electricity reaching hundreds of volts, lasting over ten seconds, and covering a half-meter radius.

After fusing this gene, Jack developed his internal power-generating organ, capable of producing similar high-voltage discharges.

Even more striking, golden lightning-like patterns began to form along his scales.

These lightning marks were beautiful and precise.

Some say survivors of lightning strikes sometimes bear similar patterns on their skin.

Now, those same marks etched themselves into Jack's armor—like the sky had branded its thunder into every scale on his body.

The electric ray's discharge ability was precisely the kind of long-range attack Jack lacked.

Without hesitation, he spent many gene points to upgrade it.

[Electric Ray Gene "Discharge Ability LV5" has evolved into "Million Volts LV1 (0/1000)". Voltage output: up to 100 million volts.]

Natural lightning often carries voltages in the range of millions to hundreds of millions of volts, with currents exceeding tens of thousands of amperes, producing temperatures of tens of thousands of degrees Celsius.

With his upgraded ability, Jack's electrical discharge now rivaled real lightning in raw power.

Next came the box jellyfish's neurotoxin.

Box jellyfish tentacles are lined with thousands of stinging cells, each loaded with venom.

This venom is a powerful neurotoxin that disrupts the nervous system's ability to transmit signals.

It can be absorbed through the skin, mucous membranes, respiratory tract, or digestive system, causing widespread organ failure, skin necrosis, and direct attacks on the heart.

Victims often die within minutes from cardiac paralysis.

After integrating the box jellyfish gene, Jack's body developed similar stinging cells across its surface.

These tiny, invisible stingers were armed with neurotoxins—silent, colorless, and deadly.

Any enemy that made contact with him or was struck at close range would be poisoned without even realizing it. It was almost impossible to defend against.

He upgraded this ability as well.

[Box Jellyfish Gene "Neurotoxin LV5" has evolved into "Neurotoxin Mist LV1 (0/1000)"]. Toxicity increased fivefold. Venom can now be released as a mist.

Now, not only was the toxin significantly more potent, but his stinging cells could also expel it in a gaseous form, spreading it over a wider area.

Enemies didn't even need to touch him. Just breathing in the mist could result in fatal poisoning. It was terrifying.

Finally, there was the attack speed of the peacock mantis shrimp.

When a mantis shrimp strikes, its neurons fire signals at incredible speeds, allowing it to complete an attack in just 1/500th of a second, reaching speeds of up to 80 km/h.

The impact is so intense that it creates frictional heat and sparks in the water.

After fusing with the mantis shrimp gene, Jack's nervous system underwent a significant boost.

Whether he was biting, punching, kicking, or swinging his tail, every movement became drastically faster.

He poured the rest of his gene points into this ability.

[Peacock Mantis Shrimp Gene "Attack Speed LV5" has evolved into "Millisecond Strike LV1 (0/1000)". Neural reaction time reduced to one millisecond. Attack speed increased to 1,224 km/h—breaking the sound barrier.]

Million-volt lightning. Neurotoxin mist. Millisecond attacks.

With these three powerful genetic upgrades, Jack's combat capabilities had undergone a complete transformation.

He had moved beyond brute strength—now equipped with speed, range, and lethal biochemical weapons.

His enemies would never see it coming.

Unconsciously, night had fallen.

Cold moonlight spilled across the sea, casting the dark waters in a layer of shimmering silver.

While searching for suitable prey, Jack suddenly caught the strong scent of blood drifting from a distance.

It hit his senses like a jolt of adrenaline.

Such a heavy, pungent smell could only mean one thing—something was happening at the source.

Jack didn't charge in recklessly. Instead, he approached cautiously, swimming deeper and deeper into the dark, oppressive depths of the ocean.

The pressure increased sharply as he descended, compressing the water around him.

But to Jack, it was nothing. His body could handle far more than this.

He dove nearly a thousand meters before arriving near the source.

The scent of blood was overwhelming now.

Silt and sand swirled in the water from recent chaos.

And then he saw it—an underwater massacre.

A pod of sperm whales had been slaughtered.

At least five or six massive corpses floated in the blood-drenched water, their bodies torn apart.

The surrounding sea was stained a deep red.

The attackers? A monstrous group of sharks.

They were massive—over 20 meters long.

Their bodies were shaped like torpedoes, with sickle-shaped dorsal fins, crescent tails, rows of jagged teeth, and black, soulless eyes.

Megalodons.

A pod of megalodon sharks was hunting the sperm whales, and Jack had stumbled into their feeding ground.
