Chapter 19 Creepy
Hearing this, Chasel Mills finally showed a hint of impatience in his eyes. "Nora, you're mistaken. For the past five years, I've fought on the battlefield, risking my life countless times, all to protect this land and ensure that this prosperous era lasts longer."
"I don't just see the world; I hold it in my heart. The only ones I look down on are certain people!"
"Enough!" Nora Mills's face flushed with anger. "Would it kill you to stop lying and boasting? Samir sincerely wants to apologize and even went out of his way to arrange a managerial position for you. But all you give him in return is disdain, as if we were just feeding a dog with good intentions. You continue to wallow in your own downfall, playing the role of a kept man!"
By the end of her outburst, Nora's voice was hoarse.
Anger, regret, resentment, and injustice—all her emotions surged forth. How had her once proud brother turned into this? Perhaps the good brother she remembered was just an act. The man before her now was his true self. Otherwise, how could he have committed such a despicable act, one that brought shame and scorn upon himself?
"Are you done?"
Chasel Mills stood up, his gaze calm. He had considered explaining himself, but Nora was unwilling to listen. As "Aurelian Mills," a man in a high position with control over the northern army, he held his pride and would not lower himself to beg for understanding.
"You really are beyond saving!"
Nora turned her head away, a mist rising in her eyes, threatening to spill over.
Beside him, Samir fell silent, a glimmer of smugness flashing in his eyes.
Just then, a small, panicked voice broke through the tension, filled with urgency and a hint of tears. "Daddy, Daddy... where are you? Please save Mommy..."
A tiny figure appeared in the hall, fear etched across her face, her cries echoing with dread and anxiety.
Chasel Mills, who had been calm just moments before, felt a jolt in his heart at the sound of that voice. He sprang to his feet, moving like a shadow, suddenly vanishing from his spot.
Nora Mills didn't notice Samir's pupils constricting in alarm.
"Belle, what's wrong?" Chasel rushed over and scooped Belle into his arms.
"Daddy, there are bad people bothering Mommy! You have to help her..."
As soon as Belle saw Chasel, her beautiful, obsidian-like eyes filled with tears, breaking like a dam."Dead meat!"
Chasel's gaze turned icy in an instant, his voice chilling like it came from the depths of the underworld.
Cradling Belle, he moved like lightning toward the private room.
"What's going on?" Nora Mills was taken aback.
Belle's words echoed in Nora Mills' ears as she hurriedly followed after her.
Samir watched the scene unfold, a dark smile creeping onto his lips.
"Chasel Mills, you'd better man up; only then can you truly provoke Elliot Price," he sneered. Anyone who dared to cross him would face dire consequences!
Samir could almost predict that Chasel Mills would either be severely injured or worse today.
However, just as quickly, the sinister smile faded from Samir's face.
In its place was a feigned look of concern as he rushed after Nora Mills.
Meanwhile, in the private room where Michelle Allen was located, she found herself cornered by Elliot Price.
"I think it would be better for you to submit to me. Otherwise, if I have to force you, you'll be the one to suffer," Elliot laughed, his eyesglinting with desire.
Looking at Michelle, he felt a thrill he hadn't experienced with any woman before.
At that moment, Elliot was itching to pounce on Michelle Allen right then and there.
"Go ahead, try touching me," Michelle Allen said, her gaze icy and her expression frosty.
"You're quite feisty," Elliot Price laughed, "What's the big deal about touching you? Are you planning to call the cops, or have your pretty boy come to get revenge on me?"
"The more you act like this, the more I feel the urge to conquer you," he continued, stepping closer to Michelle. When it came to dealing with women, Elliot had plenty of tricks up his sleeve. Since Michelle didn't seem to have any powerful connections, he felt completely fearless.
He could easily take some compromising photos and ensure she had no choice but to submit. Did she dare to report him? He would make sure her private moments went viral online.
Elliot had a history of bending women to his will through various means of coercion and temptation. He had his ways.
Michelle bit her lip, frustration boiling inside her. Just moments ago, Belle had run out in tears, and all she could hope for was that Belle would find Chasel Mills quickly."Are you waiting for that pretty boy to come save you?" Elliot chuckled, recognizing her intentions. "He's just a nobody. If he dares to show up, I'll make sure he watches as I..."
Just then, Elliot Price was still in the middle of speaking.
Bang!
A loud crash echoed through the room.
"Damn it! Didn't I tell you to keep watch? No one is allowed in without my command!" Elliot shouted, turning around angrily.
But as soon as he spoke, his expression froze in shock.
Because the door to the private room had swung open!
Or rather, the door had completely shattered!
Two figures flew in.
It was his lackeys who had been stationed outside, not the KTV staff, but his own men—each one a black-clad powerhouse who had survived multiple brawls.
As they landed, their chests were visibly caved in.
If it weren't for the fear of scaring Belle with the sight of blood, they would have been in pieces by now.
"You're dead!" Chasel Mills said coldly, his gaze piercing. The temperature in the room dropped instantly.
A chilling aura filled the air.
Chasel Mills's words felt like a death sentence, causing Elliot to shudder uncontrollably.
His scalp tingled, and his body trembled.
Elliot had intended to muster some courage and scold Chasel Mills, but when he met Chasel's icy, blood-red eyes and saw his two men lying on the ground, silent and barely alive, he lost all will to fight back.
Elliot Price was terrified!
Chasel Mills held Belle in one arm while using his other hand to shield her eyes as he stepped closer to Elliot.
"What... what are you going to do?" Elliot stammered, feeling a chill run down his spine.
Chasel Mills ignored him and turned his gaze to Michelle Allen, his expression softening. "Are you okay?"
Michelle bit her lip tightly and shook her head.
"Don't ask. Just take Belle and get out of here!"Chasel instructed, handing Belle over to Michelle. They both instinctively covered Belle's eyes with their hands.
Michelle glanced worriedly at Chasel, who nodded reassuringly. Only then did she lead Belle out of the private room.
Everything was for Belle's sake; they couldn't let her be traumatized.
Once Michelle and Belle had left, Chasel Mills turned his attention back to Elliot, his demeanor calming down.
Anyone familiar with Aurelian Mills would know that his calmness was the most frightening part of him.
"Tell me, does this have anything to do with Samir?" Chasel's gaze was sharp, but it wasn't directed at Elliot.
Instead, he turned to look at Nora Mills and Samir, who had just appeared at the entrance of the private room.
