Seram hissed through his teeth and fumbled to zip himself up, eyes darting to the nearest reflective surface. "How long?"
"Maybe thirty seconds?" Kyren's voice had an unmistakable smirk. "I can try to delay them with small talk."
"You knew?" Seram shouted, still trying to button his collar with shaking fingers.
"You're not exactly subtle. You went missing for fifteen minutes and you suddenly look like you got hit with a sensory bomb. Use the back hallway. Now."
"Son of a.." Seram bit off the curse, grabbing Silke's hand as he yanked both of them toward the emergency side door. "You owe me."
Silke, still slightly breathless, gave a crooked grin. "I'll pay you back tonight."
"Make it two nights.." Seram growled, tugging him into the hallway.
