The Vampire Palace
A new rule had been stated by the Vampire King stating that no vampire should go to the woods, and Simon was very much against that rule. He said so in the Vampire King's presence, saying King Ragna should take it back.
"What is your problem? I am the king, and I've stated this rule and it will stand," King Ragna said firmly, leaving no room for argument. But of course, Simon was tricky—he knew his ways.
"Your Majesty, do you even know what this means? A lot of damage will be done. We need more beautiful ladies here in the palace..." he said, and King Ragna gave him a look.
"Haha, I mean more royal maids. The princes are complaining about this. We are not getting what we need as princes... and the princes are complaining..." Simon explained.
"Simon, no one is complaining about anything. You're the one that is," King Ragna said.
"Your Majesty, you don't understand at all," King Ragna just folded his arms, looking at Simon in full concentration.
"We should do something better. Provide maids, you know," he said with a solemn face. King Ragna set his lips in a thin line, and silence passed by before he unfolded his hands and cleared his throat.
"Recently, the vampires have caused a lot of death. I don't want to be the king that rules without controlling these rogues, and there have been a lot of reapers lately," he said, and Simon shrugged his shoulders.
"Yes, Your Majesty. You'll send some soldiers to capture the reapers. I'm sure that will reduce the death that has been happening. But my king," he called, moving a little bit closer to the king,
"Why tame the reaper vampires? Let them kill all the humans so creatures can rule the earth," he said happily.
"Then there will be no food for us," King Ragna shook his head, looking at Simon as if he was crazy.
"Use your head for once, Simon. Without humans, how will vampires survive? You are an idiot! Even your younger brother is more mature than you!" King Ragna snapped, and Simon was utterly taken aback.
"Your Majesty! Are you being serious?" he said, obviously unhappy with what the king said.
"I'm sure after Ezekiel's reign, Maximus will be the next king, not you!" King Ragna said, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Whaa..?" he asked, as his beautiful red eyes flushed in distaste.
"Now that I think about it, you're not suitable for a king's position since you still reason like a kid."
"Your Majesty!" Simon said, as fury began to bubble up his skin.
"Your Majesty," one of the royal maids came in, putting her hands together and bowing her head.
"Speak!!" Simon demanded.
"The prophetess is here, milord," she said, and amusement flickered in Simon's red eyes.
"Let her in!" he said, and the maid bowed and left. Simon was all smiles as he watched the maid leaving—a smirk played at his beautiful thin lips... only for him to turn around and see the king glaring at him. He placed his hand on his lips, chuckling slowly as he turned his face away. He was the one person that King Ragna loved. Simon never got angry. In fact, of all the sons that King Ragna had, Simon was the only physio—always smiling, even if the situation was extremely serious. All the princes had the same father but different mothers. Simon and Shane were the only ones that had the same mother. The present queen had no child.
"So... the prophetess is coming. Should I call all the princes?" he said with excitement in his tone.
"Not yet," King Ragna replied.
Soon, a woman with white hair and an old walking stick came in.
"Your Majesty," she said, laying down her stick as she bowed her head to her king.
"Rise," he said, and she stood up.
"Why have you seek me? Another prophecy?" the king asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty," she replied. Her voice was husky and very creepy.
"It's about the human girl, Luna," she said.
"Simon?" King Ragna called.
"My king," Simon replied immediately.
"Go call all the princes..." King Ragna couldn't finish, as Simon had already vanished.
"Please, sit." King Ragna told the prophetess, and she sat on one of the royal chairs. Soon, all the princes arrived, but Ezekiel didn't come.
"Where is the crown prince?" King Ragna demanded.
"Don't worry, he is on his way," Simon assured the king.
Five minutes passed, and Ezekiel arrived with a solemn face. But as soon as he saw all the princes gathered together, his brow knitted, and looking to the other corner, he saw the prophetess. A smile threatened to form on his lips, but he held it back.
"What's the occasion?" he asked, walking towards Simon and taking a seat close to him.
"It's about Luna," Simon replied shortly.
"I have a vision about the destined one who is going to end Luna for good," she informed, and everyone was in full concentration, listening attentively.
"The chosen one to kill Luna is the crown prince, Ezekiel," she said, and everyone was utterly shocked by the information. King Ragna shrugged his shoulders while Zeke's eyes flickered with amusement.
"Go on," he demanded.
"I also found out that Luna's blood has the power to bring life and death. Any supernatural being that drinks it will become the supreme of all beings," she said.
"I always knew there was something about that blood of hers," Zeke mumbled to himself.
"If killing Luna is now possible, then Zeke, I'm leaving that in your hands," King Ragna said. Luna was a monster, and a monster deserved nothing but death. Nature thinks there is no better ending than this.
"Tomorrow, we'll go to Luna's mansion. We will burn it down, and we will make sure we find Luna," Maximus, the third prince, said.
"Let's have a good toast. Luna will surely die," Simon said.
Maids brought glasses of blood. Ezekiel just stood up and left.
