{Kelsey's Residence– 9:30 A.M}
Three Hours Later...
Everyone was finally ready.
I stood downstairs, leaning against the wall, dressed in a clean black suit that hugged my shoulders perfectly. I had even combed my hair back for once. Kate was the first to come out from her room, all sharp, confident and with zero shame, dressed in a knee-length gown. She walked like she owned the damn world.
Her hair, that short messy bob, was styled now... slick and sleek... and her heels clicked across the floor like gunshots. She didn't care who would stare at her for wearing such a dress to an anniversary event. She was going to give even more room for whispers. Honestly, I admired that. The woman gave no fucks and wore it like armour.
She tossed me a look as she arrived at the living room where I was.
"Stop checking me out, tall and deadly. I know I'm hot."
I rolled my eyes.
"Please. I've seen better legs on a frog."
She cackled, smacking my chest playfully.
