"Ouch! It hurts!" Zenitsu Agatsuma cried out, rubbing his sore face and chin before standing up.
It was fortunate that he hadn't jumped into the room, otherwise, he would have been separated from Nezuko and the boy.
Zenitsu's actions were somewhat like betraying his teammates. However, that wasn't his intention. Already scared, he didn't want to be separated from Tanjiro, so his actions were a purely instinctive reaction to seek protection.
Completely separated from Tanjiro, Zenitsu panicked. He cried, "What do I do? I'm separated from Tanjiro! Aaaah! I'm dead! I'm dead! I'm dead! Ryuji isn't here either!"
The boy looked at the wailing Zenitsu, speechless.
Then, he looked at Nezuko, who remained motionless, and thought she was more reliable. He approached her.
Nezuko stood still, unreactive.
Zenitsu, still wailing, noticed Nezuko and approached her, seeking help. "Nezuko, you'll protect me, right? As a {demon}, you must be stronger than me! If you don't want to lose me, you must protect me!"
The boy couldn't stand it anymore. "Is this even a man? Asking a girl for protection!"
"Older brother! Shouldn't we look for my sister?" the boy tentatively asked Zenitsu.
Zenitsu immediately refused. "No! No! It's too dangerous here. I think we should leave!"
"It's dangerous outside too! That white-haired older brother is still fighting the bad guy!"
The boy didn't want to leave the villa. As he said, Ryuji was still fighting Lower Rank Six. No one knew the exact situation.
—"Also, you keep saying you're going to die. Aren't you ashamed?"
—"Hiding behind a girl all the time. Don't you feel embarrassed?"
—"What's the sword at your waist for? To scare children?"
The boy then launched a three-pronged attack on Zenitsu.
Zenitsu, unable to retort to the boy's piercing words, collapsed and foamed at the mouth.
"Listen to me! Let's go outside and get Ryuji. It'll be safer!" Zenitsu, recovering, grabbed Nezuko and the boy and tried to leave.
After trying to open several doors, he despaired. The room order was completely scrambled.
He couldn't find the exit but stubbornly tried each door.
One of the doors he opened revealed a figure in a dark room.
"A {demon}!" Zenitsu fainted in terror.
The boy, seeing Zenitsu faint, looked into the room. He saw a muscular man with a boar mask, wielding twin blades.
