If not for the Breath of the Forest, Ryuji would have abandoned the mission reward and activated Demon God Transformation to resolve the crisis.
After killing Lower Rank Six, Ryuji didn't immediately go to the villa to find Tanjiro and the others. There were two reasons.
First, he hadn't fully recovered from the poison. In the final moments, he changed his breathing and used Water Breathing three times, which was key to turning the tide.
However, this caused him to inhale more poison. Delaying would only worsen his condition.
Second, the encounter with Inosuke was a crucial plot point for Tanjiro and Zenitsu, and Ryuji didn't want to interfere.
It was also time for Tanjiro to stand on his own.
Ryuji went to a tree, leaned against the trunk, and used the Breath of the Forest to eliminate the poison in his body.
Inside the Villa
After Tanjiro and Zenitsu entered the villa, the entire building shook. Zenitsu hugged Nezuko in fright.
"Tanjiro! Protect me!" Zenitsu said fearfully.
Tanjiro was used to this and ignored him.
The siblings fearfully clung to Tanjiro's clothes, curiously looking at Zenitsu, who seemed even more afraid than them, as if looking at a fool.
Zenitsu noticed their gazes and complained, "Hey! What are you looking at? I'm human too! It's normal to be scared!"
The boy ignored Zenitsu and looked away.
"Little brother, let's find your brother," Tanjiro brought the conversation back to the main topic.
As Tanjiro finished speaking, a drum sound echoed through the villa. Their space rotated 90 degrees. Where Tanjiro had been standing, became the side.
The wall to their side became the floor.
Tanjiro, along with the little girl, fell into a room with an open door. Unable to adjust their posture, they fell into the room.
Zenitsu was further from the door, so he, Nezuko, and the boy didn't fall into the room but onto the wall.
"Tanjiro!"
"Mina!"
Zenitsu and the boy watched as Tanjiro and the girl fell into the room.
As Zenitsu lunged to join them, another drum sound echoed.
Zenitsu, Nezuko, and the boy's space changed, not by rotation, but by a complete spatial shift.
They were in a different room.
The doorway Zenitsu had been about to jump through became a wall. He fell face-first onto it.
