LEONARD'S POV
A FEW DAYS LATER
Over the next few days, I kept drinking and skipping work...the company's anniversary was tomorrow, and I wasn't even ready yet. All I could think of was gaining Amelia back.
I felt like she was slipping out of my hands...Like I was losing her. I pushed her away all in the name of protecting her, not knowing I was hurting her and hurting myself. I had an unsettling feeling that she'll be taken away from me...forever, and there will be nothing I can do when that time comes.
I drank until late at night in a bar, thinking and thinking until I decided to go back home.
When I got back home, I slowly opened the door...Then, I saw her sitting on the sofa, putting on one of my shirts...the room was dark, the moonlight casting a glow on her beautiful face.
"Amelia, is that you?" I walked towards her
"Leonard...you're back, I've been waiting for you." She turned around with a smile on her face as she embraced me.
I was stunned...I thought she hated me and never wanted to see me again.
She looked up at me with that smile...I felt like I was hallucinating...I could finally touch her and feel her.
"Amelia, I'm sorry. Please forgive me, don't leave me, please, " my voice trembled as I cupped her face.
"I've been such a fool, I never realized it until now, how much I love you...I love you so much it hurts." A single tear rolled down my cheek.
"I forgive you," She smiled as her arms wrapped around my waist.
"I thought you'll never forgive me, Amelia...I thought I was going to lose you forever." I hugged her tightly...holding her against my chest as I sobbed. Finally, she was here with me, I didn't have to worry about her leaving me anymore...But I still had an unsettling feeling.
I placed her hands on my chest. "This...it belongs to you and only you, Amelia. I love you so much, so please forgive me...."
She gently wiped my tears with a smile on her face.
"I love you to Leonard, and I never want to share you with anyone else....I want you to be mine, forever."
She said, sliding her hands under my shirt, caressing my skin, and that was when I felt a sting in the place she touched me...But I didn't think too much about it.
I held her face as I kissed her...she wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me closer.
Amelia never tasted this way...I felt something was off with the way she held onto me...caressing me.
This wasn't Amelia...I might have been so drunk that I didn't realize it.
I pulled away slightly as I thought of something.
"How did you get in here...you-you've never been to my house before." My vision was blurry, and I felt dizzy.
"I got your address from the company."
"The company doesn't have my address, Amelia," I pulled away slightly
"It's me, Leonard...it's me, Amelia, can't you see it!" She clenched her fists when I pulled away from her.
"No, you're not Amelia," I narrowed my eyes as I staggered back...she had Amelia's face, but-but she wasn't Amelia.
Her hands reached up to her face as she took off a mask on her face. I was stunned,
"Ly-lysandra?" How was it possible for her to get a mask with the face of Amelia?
"Leon, I want you to be mine...mine and only mine." She walked towards me slowly.
I was sweating profusely as my heart raced...I felt my body weaken.
"What have you done to me?" I fell to the floor as I held my chest; everything before me was spinning.
"I've spent these past ten years thinking of a way to get you back...I know I rejected you in the past, Leon, I know it was all in the past when you once loved me."
"And now I want to make you mine," She squatted down in front of me as she held my face.
"You lied to me...how could you?!" My breathing grew heavier, and I was slowly losing consciousness.
"I couldn't sit and watch you love someone else, Leon...When I saw the way you held me, thinking I was Amelia...I felt so good for once that I wished I was really her just to please you, Leon." She smiled as her fingers grazed my lips.
My eyes were drowsy as I couldn't see her...."You've gone crazy for thinking I'll ever love you the way I did."
Her smile faded. "You think I've gone crazy...yes! I've gone crazy just for you."
"Too bad your Amelia would be no more...I'll make you watch when I kill her, Leon...and then we'll go to an island and get married, we'll have kids together and I'll still be the most famous actress...we'll be together forever, right Leon?" She smiled.
"But I can't just claim you like that first...you have to meet someone special," she stood up as she grabbed her phone.
"I can't wait to have your babies, My love," she smirked, and then the world turned dark as I slumped into unconsciousness.
