After putting her son to sleep, Andrea checked the time on her phone and saw that it was already 9pm and still no sign of Gael. Was he still at the office? She was aware that he had put his duty towards the company on hold and had focused all his attention on Kai's treatment and recovery. Now, he must make up for those lost times.
Andrea sighed and walked to the window. She stood there staring into the darkness, but the moment she saw a car light driving inside the compound, she smiled and immediately rushed downstairs.
Gael entered the house and was surprised to see Andrea rushing down the stairs in her nightwear. His eyes landed at her bare feet, and he asked, "Is there a monster in your room?"
"What?" Andrea furrowed her brows, confused by his question.
Gael ignored her question and pulled off his shoes, set them aside, and put on his slippers.
