Nathan's POV
Derrick's lips were still on mine when the door creaked open. His hand wrapped around my neck, applying the exact pressure perfect enough to make this an erotic experience and nothing overboard.
The door suddenly opened, my eyes snapped open just to see Felix standing by the doorway. He froze. "Oh," he said quickly, eyes widening in shock. "I'm sorry."
Derrick didn't pull away. His lips moved slowly, as if he had nothing else to do, like he was taking his precious time. He made it seem like nothing else existed but me and him, like he truly enjoyed the time we were having right now. Though I knew that wasn't the truth. What Derrick loved was having power over what he owned. He didn't want me, he didn't like me, he just hated sharing—hated sharing his pack or his pets—and I was one of his pets.
Only after a few more seconds did he break the kiss and glance toward the door, annoyed. He looked at Felix with so much anger—the same that he had used to kill Kade.
