A few minutes later, Alex's cell phone rang. His smile widened as he saw Aurora's name on the screen.
"Did I wake you with my call? I apologize if I disturbed your nap..." Alex said, sounding anxious.
"No, I don't have time to nap, Alex. I'm busy talking with your mom..."
"Why is my mother still there? Is this almost five—"

Aurora chuckled softly upon hearing Alex's protest from the other end.
"After she heard you wouldn't return home for dinner with me, she plans to stay to keep me company."
"Well, glad to hear that. At least you won't be alone! I'm sorry, my love. I hope my dinner meeting won't keep me tied up too long."
"It's okay, Alex. You don't need to hurry home. I won't be lonely here. I heard your father will be joining us for dinner as well. And—"
Aurora could not finish her words as Alex interrupted in surprise, "What? Why would Dad also join you?"
His jealous tone from the other end made her laugh.
