In hindsight, Michael shouldn't have been surprised. After all, the Montgomerys were famous for being diplomats all over the globe. Their main jobs was to settle all conflicts and preside over any agreements between them. It made sense that only their family could manage such an influential group like the association.

She seemed very nervous about him coming into the association, probably because she knew that he would eventually cross paths with one of her family members.
If that was the case, then she should have come here, Michael thought. That way, she could help him out, while also having a family reunion at the same time.
