Chapter 69 - Special Chapter: Another Character; A Sovereign Of Abyssal Corona.

Abyssal Corona, the Kingdom that exists as a scarred land. Where the sun never shined. Where beasts nested in shadows and survivor was only ever guaranteed to those who commanded unfathomable strength. The kingdom that was said to have been forsaken by God. Where war once dominated, so much so, the screams of the dead permanently besmirched the air.

In this dark kingdom ruled by the night, a challenge was afoot. The beasts and bystier that once nested peacefully had suddenly began to rampage.

The palace, a large tower that stood at the center of this kingdom, the only known source of light. Using the magic from the divine spot, Stormheart Singularity, light particles were propagated into the atmosphere thereby forming what the citizens called luminous clouds.

Somewhere within this palace, the man claimed to be the wisest ran through the halls. Calling for the prince who was said to be the kingdom's light. "Your Highness!" He ran, checking the rooms that the so called Prince was rumored to frequent. He walked in, touching the floor to check for warmth. This floor is warm…his highness would never sit in a room such as this.

Within one of the rooms, a man lay on the ground. Yawning as his naked body lay on the floor. On his alleged bed, his proxy sat. "Your highness— should the servant not sit on the floor?" He wore the warmest of clothes. He was dressed in black, a coat, scarf, gloves and even hat. He wore boots even though he was indoors. "Why am I dressed in your clothes?"

"If you dislike them then strip. They are much too warm for me. I prefer the cold floor to anything comfortable and warm." Why do humans have to be warm? Why isn't everywhere cold like that land of ice?

"This is why people assume I poison your mind." He began talking off the coat when the door suddenly broke open.

"Your highness!!" The man claimed to be the wisest had walked in. Exposed to a scene he had seen much too often he tired of it. The prince's naked body.

"Mr. Chancellor, you are much too loud. His highness wishes to take a nap." The man who sat on the bed replied.

"A nap? So even commoners speak to me in such a manner." He sighed, "I will leave it for now sith there is something more pressing. Your highness, the Kingdom is in much disarray. You, as the only member of the monarchy still left in its bounds must step up and guide your people.

As your father works diligently to settle the grand debt this Kingdom has to Faqualora and the Fulguritania Enberg, should you not resolve this issue?"

"Mr. Chancellor, it is best your stop speaking in questions. Make clear what you wish would happen. His highness need his nap."

"I see that you have become much too comfortable to even think right. As his proxy, should you not be the one advising him? Have you not noticed the kingdom's current situation?" He banged against the door, This child, does he even take his duties seriously? He acts as though nothing concerns him aside from the cold.

"You are referring to the current beast crisis we find ourselves in. Oh, that is something he is aware of. The knights will take care of it. Now, let him rest."

"Rest this, rest that—is he a prince in name only?" he snapped. "Is sleeping all he thinks about? Would I be here if the situation was one the knights could handle?"

The so called Prince rolled before sitting up. He then yawned. "I am unable to sleep. This floor is warm now. Let's move to the next room, Acacia." No sooner had he taken off his coat than he stood up. "Yes! Aaaahhh, the bystier situation has worsened since yesterday sir."

"I see. No wonder I keep hearing tremors. The air reeks of death, more so than usual." He sighed, "Tch, with that much noise I won't be able to sleep?"

"Sleep, again with this? Your highness." The chancellor spoke, his voice stern. "Do you at all care about the citizens?"

"Acacia, leave the coat there and go have the servants prepare a cold room for me. Also, Chancellor, was it? You are my father's proxy, Never raise your voice against Acacia again. That pleasure is reserved for me alone." He snapped his finger before shouting, "One more thing before you leave Acacia."

"What can I do for you, your highness?"

"Bleed out a litre for me. Make sure to infuse all the magic you can. It appears a new half shadow may have been born."

"A litre? Okay."

[Yes, that was not a jest. I am the Prince's proxy, a commoner by the name Acacia Xylorus. I say that though my family and I were elevated to a status of nobility on account of the Prince. And yes, he wants me to bleed out a whole litre. As his supposed proxy, I am to deliver insight on all matters but I am more or less viewed as a blood bank.

With each crisis he must overcome, a litre of my blood must be shed. Otherwise he cannot control his immense power. He is, after all, what people refer to as inhuman.]

Acacia grabbed a basin, cut his hand and waited for a litre of his blood to fall into the basin. At the same time, the so called Prince got dressed. He wore a white shirt, maroon blazer with a crescent moon behind a dragonfly crest embroidered on it's front pocket, he then put on a navy blue trousers. "These clothes are too form and comfortable. Why must they fit perfectly? I want baggy clothes not perfect fits."

Acacia handed him the basin before saying, "Your blood, Ardere." The prince's full name was Ardere Prometheus Rhysera though not many dared to call him by that name. As to all, he appeared to be a psychopath, one who enjoyed bathing in the blood of others. He took the basin and poured its contents on himself. Finally, something that is cold. The blood entered his body through the pores on his skin. He walked toward the window and opened it.

He cleared his throat before taking a deep breath. A black fog enveloped his body before he roared. A roar that no other could hear aside from the beast. One so frightening that they viewed it as the cry of an executioner. "Chancellor, Your beasts have been tamed. So you may leave. Also, why are you here when my father already left? Does he trust me that less?"

The chancellor stood in awe, wondering why the entire room was coated in dark flames. The flames that laughed maniacally as though to drive all semblance of sanity out of him. He was about to begin laughing along when Acacia pulled him out.

"Man was never meant to gaze at those flames. The lead those who hear their cries to commit suicide. That was why his highness did nothing? Please do not pester him when he wishes to rest."

"I will do no such thing, that child should take his duties more seriously. Should I not speak up simply because he is a Sovereign? I think not. He has the duty of protecting the people, make him understand that."

Acacia broke out into laughter. "Sorry, sorry, that was really good. You got me. I should have just let you kill yourself then. If even people like you who are truly powerful can't help but want to murder themselves in his presence, what do you think the citizens will do? Let me just go and prepare a cold room…his flames might spread all the way out here if he doesn't feel cold soon."

The chancellor watched as Acacia walked away. He then took a peek into the room, it was burning still as the laughter had become louder. "There is no way this is his majesty's son. He is a child of demons. How much more than her soul did that woman sell?"

"Chancellor, whispering can never keep me from knowing. My mother is not "that woman" call her by her title. Do you have no respect for the dead? I may be a demon—but, she was an angel." The door then closed before he sat down.

He grunted, why is this room so hot? Why is everything that isn't from my mother so warm? I want to feel cold. The same cold that she gave me.
