"Alright, that's done." Harry said to himself after making food for not just himself but also for Padfoot. Harry was rather glad that so far nothing bad had happened beyond a few bouts of accidental magic from Rose. Harry was not entirely sure how he should feel about Rose's accidental magic.
On the one hand he found it to be very amusing since she had so far never done anything that he could not reverse or fix, he quite honestly found it to be quite cute most of the time. It also showed that Rose was quite powerful, which wasn't really that surprising to Harry since he was quite powerful himself. He was also looking forward to having some bonding time teaching his daughter how to use magic when she was older, thinking about that also caused Harry to think about crafting a wand for her.
On the other hand Harry was quite worried about how he would raise a magical daughter, he had no doubt that sooner or later someone with bad intentions would take an interest in her. Meaning that Harry would have to make sure she could defend herself in case he wasn't around to help out.
'I'll have to talk with Sif and Natasha about it.' Harry thought to himself, knowing that the two would be coming back later today.
Harry picked up his food and wandlessly levitated Padfoots food before walking into the TV/family room where Harry immediately stopped as he noticed three things that were very, very wrong.
The first being that Padfoot was in a defensive position, growling aggressively at two strangers in his house.
The second being that there were two strangers in his house.
The third, and most important thing as far as Harry was concerned, was that Rose - who had only gone to sleep a few minutes ago - was now wide awake and crying her cute little eyes out.
Harry's eyes narrowed as he gently placed the food down before glaring at the two strangers, that were both dressed in similar robes to the training uniform worn by the new students of Kamar Taj.
"You woke up my daughter." Harry said, glaring at the two new men. One of them gulped slightly while the other bravely pressed on, despite looking just as pale as his ally.
"Mr Potter, we… were sent here by Karl Mordo." He said.
"You… woke… my daughter." Harry repeated, his eyes glowing slightly.
"I… we are sorry, but… this is important." The other man chose to speak up after seeing his friend falter. "Karl Mordo sent us, he asks for your help."
"My help?" Harry softly repeated.
"Yes, Mordo believes - and rightfully so - that there are too many sorcerers in the world." The first man spoke, having recovered enough to regain the ability to speak. "That they are ruining the world."
"Yes," The second man agreed. "look at the Ancient One, she preached about being safe, about not using forbidden magic, only to use it for herself."
"Yes," The first one nodded. "and look at the latest Sorcerer Supreme, one who would no doubt break just as many rules as the previous one. He has already messed around with time itself, and…"
"Let me cut you off right now, the Ancient One had a bunch of problems, but one problem she did not have was a lack of mental defences." Harry told him with a cold smile. "I've read your minds, I know Mordo wants to take me out so I can't help the sorcerers and so I don't attack you lot."
"Oh." They both gulped, paling slightly.
"Yeah, 'oh'." Harry nodded before he closed his eyes, less than a second later his clothes shifted so he was wearing his battle suit.
"Wait," The second man said as he and his ally got into defensive stances with magical orange circles appearing on their hands. "we… we don't need to fight."
"Yes," The first quickly agreed. "this can easily be dealt with peacefully."
"You wanted to catch me, you broke into my home, you disturbed what would have been a nice and peaceful lunch and worst of all… you woke up my daughter." Harry growled as his wand appeared in his hand. "Peace… was never an option."
.....
"I'm coming." Dr Strange called, walking towards the door in his normal civilian clothes, he thankfully wasn't very famous outside of being a surgeon so could go out whenever he wanted, and even if he was worried about being recognised and disturbed then he could simply disguise himself. He had just been about to leave and go and get himself some take out when he heard someone knock on his door, which was odd given that there was very rarely anyone who knocked on his door. "Hello," He began as he opened the door. "I…" Dr Strange blinked and trailed off when he saw Harry Potter holding up an unconscious Mordo by his collar.
"This is for you." Harry said, casually tossing Mordo forwards. Dr Strange managed to step out of the way so that Mordo didn't land on him, though that meant that Mordo ended up falling on the floor. "You're welcome." Harry said before he noticed the money that Strange had in his hands. "Yeah, I think I've earned that." Harry said, gently taking the money out of Dr Strange's hand. "Oh, and by the way, I plan to drop by in a couple of days, can you get me some books on how to stop your magical methods of travel? They seem to bypass my wards and that's just not good, especially given that I've got a baby living in my house. Thanks." Harry said before teleporting away.
"Well…" Dr Strange said to himself as he looked down at Mordo after a long silence. "… that solves one problem."
.....
"So… anything happen while Sif and I were gone?" Natasha asked when she and Sif arrived.
"Yeah, sorcerers." Harry said with a roll of his eyes before looking at Natasha and Sif. "You got a bit of red on you." Harry said, gesturing to a bit of blood on Sif's shoe. He waved his wand, getting rid of it for her.
"Oh, thank you." Sif smiled at him.
"You're welcome," Harry replied. "so… anything happen while you guys were gone?" Harry asked.
"Ran into human traffickers." Natasha shrugged.
"Really?"
"Yep."
"…"
"…"
"…"
"…"
"Our lives are messed up." Harry couldn't help but point out.
"Pretty much." Natasha agreed.
.....
It was only a few days later when Harry arrived outside of Dr Strange's place, he hoped that the guy was able and willing to get him some ways to stop other sorcerers from travelling directly into his house, if he wasn't then Harry would have to likely come up with his own defence against it.
He was considering putting up a fidelius charm, a spell that would make his house invisible, intangible and unable to be heard or found by anyone beyond the assigned secret keeper and whoever the secret keeper allowed to know the location of the property.
"Harry?! Harry!" A voice called just before Harry was about to knock on the property. Harry turned around and his eyes widened slightly when he saw Thor hurrying towards him. The 'God of Thunder' was dressed in civilian clothes, had his hair tied up into a ponytail and was holding a black umbrella that Harry correctly guessed to be Mjölnir in disguise.
"Thor?"
"It's good to see you!" Thor smiled as he hugged Harry. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to get some help in protecting my property." Harry replied. "Want to keep my daughter safe, you know."
"Daughter?" Thor blinked. "You have a daughter?!"
"Yeah… you missed a lot."
