As we continued walking, Amaryllis looked over at Anis. She let out a slight chuckle. "Never thought she would be reborn as my daughter."
Anis cooed as she looked up at her. She held out her Pingui and smiled widely.
Amaryllis tilted her head and smiled. "She's so happy. It's good to see. It reminds me a bit of Mirei when we were just starting out."
I hummed. "Was that the name of her past life? How was she?"
Amaryllis sighed as she stared at the dark corridor. "She began cheerful, like your in-laws and Anis."
"Like us?" Alli asked.
Sil grinned. "Sounds like a fun lady!"
She snickered. "But she also had a responsible side. She was probably the second most responsible one after me. For us, our duty was paramount. As time went on, she began to laugh less. Even with the blessings of the Goddess of Light, the Abyss began to take its effect on us. Most of us began to lose something. For me, my memories of those precious for me."
