Saffron descended from the sky and smiled at us. "The illusion is gone, but we still have to find the caster."
Ore nodded as he rubbed where Cyra's father had "stabbed" him. "That guy's magic is... terrifying. It felt like the real thing." He unbuttoned his shirt a bit, revealing a red spot that looked like a healed wound.
"That's exactly why he is so dangerous," Saffron said.
Anis gooed in her grandmother's arms.
I walked over and patted her little head. She had stopped crying, giggling as she snuggled her Opus.
Saffron gasped and turned around. His eyes surveys the rooftops.
"Is someone there?" I whispered.
He touched his visor. "There was. But whoever it was, they left."
"We must be careful. There could be enemies hidden throughout the town. The guy isn't acting like a lone wolf this time," Father said.
Saffron nodded.
"Lone fox, you could say," Alli said with a smile.
Dahlia glanced at her daughter and sighed. "Ya sound like ya pa, Alli."
