She went back to her searching where the chain has been locked to so as to untie her. But she couldn't, Margareta kept pushing her away stopping her from helping her "Go! Go away child! My time has already come and now I can go peacefully to join my sisters. I have met with you, the princess who shifts hair color" The old woman looked convinced that it was her time now. Audrey shook her head, she couldn't leave her here. "No! I'm taking you with me, wait!" She searched around desperately, determined to take her out of here no matter what. "You can't! The chains are sacred. The moment I told you the prophecy, they knew about your presence and now they are on their way here to kill you so you won't be able to complete the prophecy. Listen to me and leave frok here at once! Please!" She shouted at her to snap her out of her emotions, she could see that she was being driven by her emotions now, she was feeling bad to leave her behind but then this was her fate. But not hers, she has her own fate as well and in order for it to be completed she has to survive come what may!.
Audrey got up walking hesitantly while her eyes kept looking at her in tears, the pointy rocks kept falling creating a lot of dust, it scattered around the cave making her cough, she had to move from side to side so as to avoid getting hit by them. It was getting deadly dangerous by a second and she knew that if she wanted to survive then it was better to get out of there now. She felt even more insane thinking about what was coming after her. Soon black smoke arrived in full speed dissolving with the dust around stopping her from going further. There were black creatures in a form of reptiles, eyeing her with their tongues dancing out of their mouth. "No! Child run! Run now!" Shouted Margareta, she raised both of her hands and chanted some familiar words, she summoned the wind with all of her left energy and remaining power. Audrey cold see black veins popping all over her exposed skin, she used the remaining power and pushed the wind to Audrey making her get blown away like a piece of paper, she was thrown back go the same path that she had come in with earlier, the force was so hard that it broke the rocks and and them block the path completely.
But she wasn't done yet, she used her right hand and ordered the wind to smash the cave, making it crush so they could all get buried to their death, the wind pulled down the rocks from the top, before the hideous creatures could reach her the rocks buried all of them and everything became a heavy dust. Audrey on the other side got hit against the walls of the cave far away from Margareta. She cpuld hesr screaming, she covered her ears sobbing "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" she got up and ran ahead even though all of her body was aching from the hit and fall, she kept repeating the words feeling guilty.
Annie stoop up like a lightening upon hearing screams inside, her heart was beating even more crazier now, she shook her head and her long held back tears came flooding her eyes "NO! Rey! What should I do? What should I do now? No!" She paced back and forth at the entrance of the cave, her brain was frozen to even think straight. She screamed in panic and frustration "Aaah!" She ran towards the woods like a crazy woman, holding onto her wounded hand and sword. "Please! Don't leave me!" She kept repeating the words like she was possessed, she must get out of the forest and search for help. Rey was still back there, her Queen, her best friend was stuck in there and she was screaming. Using her power she summoned the wind to give a push her weak legs, "Please work!" She prayed after chanting her spell, her brown eyes glittered with green color, suddenly the wind responded to her plea and gave her legs a speed.
She was running faster then a horse could ever, she never thought that the spell would work because she have tried the same spell several times when she was practicing but nothing happened. Thankfully it did now that she truly needed it the most "Thank you heaven!" She murmured, racing between the lomg creepy trees, it's only now that she realized thay have gome very deeper into forest, she just orayed not to encounter any creature right now.
Audrey on the other hand ran with all her might while the cave was collapsing behind her, "No no no! I can't die here, not yet!" She screamed runni.g even more into the darkness, she could only move on with her instincts now because the path that she alomg with earlier was also blocked by the rosks, her mind was frozen that she even forgot that she could use her magic to start a light and use it in the darkness of the cave. Her long black hairs were flowing behind her, she could see a little light of the exit but stone kept falling as well, she was just an inch away from it, just when the big rock was about to fall and block the exit she slid down just in time, she could hear the rock crushing the exit the moment she was outside with a loud bang. Then the whole cave collapsed as if it was only waitinig for her to get out. She survived!
She coughed moving away from the dust, she held her chest, she felt like her heart would flee through her mouth, she was in sheer terror as she breathed heavily and gasping for air. Her face had dusts alm over, she wiped her tears as she spared a last glance at the collapsed cave with only heavy dust left in the air. "I'm sorry Margareta" she held the glowing chain around her neck, even her eyes were glowing along with it but she wasn't aware of it. She turned and continued to ran out fo the dark forest, she jas to go back to the castle now. When she came out to not finding Annie around, she knew exactly where she could be at the moment given the screams and the collapsing of the rocks. She must've gone out of her mind running to seek for help, if she wasn't already coming back with a whole army now.
Annietta has finally stepped out of the dark forest, she was shocked that it was laready night time, she dropped ghe sword and touched her chest, she was panting so hard that she could feel pain in her chest. "I have to….go" she motivated herself to keep going, she could see the light from the magistrate office, now she just needed to reach there and ask for help, she must! She couldn't even run anymore because she was already out of energy and for some reason she couldn't use her oower either now that she was already standing a meter away from the people. She dragged herself slowly until she reached the magistrate office, her eyes were getting heavy and blurry but she could see two figures of man standing outside talking. "He…help! Help me!" She csreamed with the energy left, she was about to fall down when a strong arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer to his chest.
She turned to face the person, she didn't know if she should laugh or cry at the moment. "Vi…Vincy!" She blurted. "Annie!" Vincy's face was covered with worry, "Oh thank you heaven!" She was extremely grateful that her idea of dropping a trail behind worked. But they have no time, they have to go and save Rey. "Why are you alone? Where the hell is the Queen!?" He yelled at her impatiently, Annie swallowed "The…Rey…in…for…est" she mumbled and fainted in his arms, her body has reached the limits. Vincy handed her to the magistrate officer that he was talking to so he could tend to her. "Take care of her" he ordered with a straight face "Yes sir!" The man bowed carrying Annie on his back and dashed towards the village.
Vincy turned to look at the dark forest, "Why the dark forest my Queen?" He questioned himself, he moved with a high speed heading to the forest unsing his abilities, there was no other means. But before he could anyer the forest the two of them bumped into each othe without taking a look at who he was Audrey began to scream her lungs out, throwing punches "Aaah!" Vincy was quick to catch her as well before she could falm down "Let go of me! Let go!" With her eyes shut she kept pushing him away from her. "It's me your highness, Vincy! Open your eyes and see!" He held her by her shoulders making her face him, upon hearing a familiar voice Audrey slowly opened her eyes "You!" Her voice cracked down she grasped on his chest and began to sob. "Yes your highness, its just me" he assured her, patting her back. He was hesitant at first but then he went ahead and hugged her, he knew she needed it for she was shaking profusely.
A wave of sickening emotions striked her whole senses, she had a long day, a lot to process and the fact thay she couldn't save Margareta broke her heart heart even more. "I was sacred" she confessed in between her sobs, "It's alright now, you are both safe" he assured her, talking about both she pulled away facing him "Where is she? Annie?" She looked worried and desperate to know. "She must be getting attended to now, shall we?" He held out his hand for her. Audrey hum in response and the two of them went away, the magistrate officer had taken Annie to an infirmary, luckily the healers were still available when they usually close at night. Her wound was treated and bandaged, she regained conscious a couple of minutes later. She abruptly sat up "Rey! Where is Rey! I need to go to her!" She was about to slid out of the covers and ran out. "Hey, easy there St. Annietta, I'm over here" came a voice a bit far from her, she stood up and ran to her despite being told not to get up by the healer, despite her condition.
She attacked her with a bear hug, Audrey staggered back and almost fall from her seat "Oh Rey! Are you okay?" Annie pulled away inspecting her body with her blurry eyes before hugging her again, in tears. "Eh… Im fine you worry wart but i fear you would kill me because I can't…breath" said Audrey slapping her back playfully. "I'm sorry, I'm just too emotional right now, I was scared" she admitted pulling away. Suddenly Vincy entered the room after a soft knock "The carriage is here, my lady" He had to refrain from uttering her tittle here before everybody's ears. Rey nodded at him before turning to Annie, with a warm smile she spoke "Let's go home, Annie" even though it felt nothing like home back there, it still was there home now. Annie nodded like a rattle smiling back at her, Audrey thanked everyone for helping Annie before they stepped out of the room. Annie couldn't still believe that the two of them has actually survived frok the dark forest. She would never go back there or let Audrey go too, ever again.
