Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: No Beating Was in vain

Gao Xinaim kicked Xia Ai'er in the abdomen with her other foot. Even though Xia Ai'er had grown scales on his abdomen for defense beforehand, it only slowed down some of the damage. His stomach churned, and he nearly lost his footing.

Bang!

Another kick.

Xia Ai'er fell from the high platform in front of the throne and couldn't help but vomit, staining his previously clean clothes.

He fell to the ground and hadn't yet managed to use water control to wash away the dirt on his body when Gao Xinaim was already straddling him. The foul vomit stained her, but she didn't care in the slightest, raising her hand to punch Xia Ai'er in the face again and again, bloodying her fists.

Xia Ai'er instinctively raised his arms to block in front of him, but Gao Xinaim's attacks were like a torrential storm, carrying an aura that intended to beat him to death on the spot.

Gao Xinaim forcibly pried open his arms. Her brown eyes showed no expression as she almost disregardingly slammed her own head hard against Xia Ai'er's head.

Bang!

A huge collision sound rang out.

The scales that had grown on Xia Ai'er's forehead cracked. His eyes gradually filled with madness, his fingertips began to lengthen, scratching bloody wounds on Gao Xinaim's arms that were grabbing him. His hair, like a furious heavy hammer, smashed towards Gao Xinaim's head, only to be scattered by her punch.

Xia Ai'er finally freed one hand. He swung his hand like a whip, sweeping Gao Xinaim at her waist, sending her flying to crash against the wall.

He stood up from the ground, his hair extending like giant tentacles, his body covered in dense fish scales, and two bulges slowly growing on his back. His eyes fiercely stared at the woman who was embedded in the wall.

He had been beaten by Gao Xinaim to the point of activating a partial mythical creature form this time.

"You can be ruthless with me now? You've improved very quickly; this is more like an Elf."

"Come, I'll teach you how to fight, how to battle."

Gao Xinaim jumped down from the indentation she had made in the wall. The abdomen she had intentionally allowed Xia Ai'er to injure had now healed. An Angel's recovery ability is very strong.

Roar!!!

Xia Ai'er let out a roar. His expanding hair, like iron whips, smashed towards Gao Xinaim's location. Silver-white lightning flowed through these hairs, weaving into a giant net.

Gao Xinaim licked her lips. Long-lost battle intent and wildness appeared in her calm eyes. Her body was enveloped by a strong wind, separating the tentacle-like hairs. She grabbed a portion of them forcefully, then repeatedly slammed Xia Ai'er, who was on the other side, into the palace, creating large craters.

Whoosh!

A lightning spear shot towards Gao Xinaim's face. She raised her hand and shattered the spear. Xia Ai'er's hair contracted and rebounded, carrying him like a cannonball towards Gao Xinaim.

Gao Xinaim watched Xia Ai'er, who had delivered himself to her, directly slammed him to the ground, then straddled him and gave him a severe beating.

The entire space where the Elf Palace was located vibrated violently. Other Elves outside noticed the fluctuations in the Spirit World and wanted to come investigate, but they were all directly sent back by the Elf Queen's maids.

Time passed...

Xia Ai'er didn't know how many beatings he had endured. There wasn't a single part of his body that didn't ache. His eyes were so swollen he couldn't see clearly, and his waist hurt terribly, almost being stepped on and broken.

Looking at the unconscious Xia Ai'er on the ground, Gao Xinaim's slightly hurried breathing gradually subsided. She withdrew her foot, released his arm that was almost torn off, and wiped her rapidly healing cheek.

She had also sustained some injuries. After all, she didn't want to destroy the space she had opened in the Spirit World, so many of the Calamity's powers couldn't be used, but a berserk Xia Ai'er wouldn't care about these things.

So Gao Xinaim hit him a little harder.

That is, she beat Xia Ai'er until he activated a partial mythical creature form, then beat him until he couldn't control his mythical creature form, and then beat him until his mythical creature form deactivated.

This was not difficult for Gao Xinaim, who also worked as a Psychiatrist.

"Get up."

"Keep fighting."

Gao Xinaim kicked Xia Ai'er, but he showed no reaction.

She dragged Xia Ai'er by his hair, pulling him up. Looking at the various dirt and his clothes, which hung like rags, as well as her own equally dirty state, she felt a momentary disdain.

She waved her hand, and swirling water currents emerged around them, washing both of them clean.

She caressed the Elf's bruised and purple face. These injuries were gradually healed. She even gently pinched it a couple of times, like molding clay, making the Elf's already handsome face a few shades softer.

"This looks more pleasing to the eye."

She pinched Xia Ai'er's cheek, making subtle adjustments according to her preferences. First, she nodded with satisfaction, then her eyes dimmed slightly, as if remembering the Elf King who had long since fallen.

This sorrow did not last long. Her expression returned to calm. She lowered her head to look at a certain spot, reached out, pinched it, and flicked it hard.

This brought her a little pleasure.

She flicked it again.

Looking at the unresponsive Xia Ai'er, Gao Xinaim threw him into the bathtub. The Elf slowly sank to the bottom. She wasn't worried about drowning a Sea King, and she released some of the suppression on the Calamity's characteristics.

The power of the "Calamity" characteristic began to help Xia Ai'er recover from his injuries and gradually adapt and integrate with his body.

After all this, Gao Xinaim also entered the bathtub. She snapped her fingers, and the water temperature began to rise to a terrifying degree, but she hummed comfortably and slowly closed her eyes.

Time passed...

When Xia Ai'er gradually regained consciousness, he felt like a fish about to be boiled. He opened his eyes and saw a pair of fair, slender bare feet on the water's surface above him.

He rubbed his still aching waist, swam to the surface, and leaned on the edge of the bathtub, somewhat uncomfortably shaking off the water droplets clinging to his hair.

"You woke up quite quickly."

Gao Xinaim said with a teasing smile.

Xia Ai'er looked over in confusion and saw the Elf Queen wrapped in a bathrobe, looking at him with a playful expression.

He looked down, his pupils constricted, and he covered himself with his hands, submerging himself again, leaving only his head, sulkily blowing bubbles.

My clothes are gone...

No big deal...

Anyway, my dignity is gone too.

Illusory scales grew on his body, covering his vital parts. He looked resentfully at the Elf Queen, who was leisurely leaning against the edge of the bathtub, enjoying the hot spring.

Are you treating me like a human when you hit me? Do you know you almost killed me?

Gao Xinaim noticed Xia Ai'er's gaze and pulled down the collar of her bathrobe.

Xia Ai'er flinched at this action, instinctively putting his hands in front of him, ready to defend, his mind highly tense as he watched Gao Xinaim's movements.

However, Gao Xinaim merely loosened her bathrobe, revealing some fair skin and an underwater crevice. She noticed Xia Ai'er's subconscious defensive posture, nodded with satisfaction, and said:

"Good, just like that."
