Synopsis
They say every universe has its own rules. Heroes rise, villains fall, and fate marches on. But what happens when something completely random slips through the cracks? Something that doesn’t belong? Something like… me? Hell yeah, I wasn’t even supposed to be here—I just died chasing a pixelated ninja in a gacha game with a broken wallet and a broken spirit. Now I’m stuck in a universe full of gods, assassins, and billionaires who think sarcasm is a personality trait. And what did I bring with me? Not super strength. Not a magic hammer. Just a half-buggy Naruto mobile game system that still refuses to give me Jirai.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Renji Mercer

Marvel Cinematic Universe, Non-Sacred Timeline.

Continental Hotel, Top Floor.

"Boss, there's a new assassination contract—two million dollars. Would you like to consider it?"

Standing before Renji Mercer was a stunning blonde woman in a tailored office skirt, dressed like a classic secretary. Her tone was calm and professional.

"Two million dollars? Not a low price."

"Give me the full details first. I'll decide whether this two-million-dollar mission is worth my time."

"You know how I am—I'm picky with my targets. By the way, is the target Black?"

Sitting by the window, Renji held a square glass of whiskey in his hand. Slowly, he turned his gaze from the cityscape to the woman speaking—Ginny.

"Not Black."

"Renji , you've become infamous as a 'Black killer.' Some of the African-American hitmen in the Continental aren't too happy with you."

Renji swirled his drink, his tone serious.

"There are two types of people I hate most in this world—racists, and Black people."

"If those scumbags have a problem with me, they're welcome to come talk. I'll gladly send them where they belong."

Seeing how serious he was, Ginny just shrugged—"Whatever you say."

"The target for this new bounty is John Wick. The client wants him dead as soon as possible. Two million dollars. You in?"

At the mention of John Wick, Renji Mercer's thoughts drifted.

A man who wiped out an entire mafia for a dog.

So his story's finally beginning, huh?

He glanced at the photo in Ginny's hand and confirmed it—it wasn't a namesake. It was the real deal.

Renjiswirled the amber liquid in his glass, took a sip, and responded flatly:

"The price is too low. I'm not taking it."

"Why?" Ginny asked, curious.

"You're still new to the game, so you probably don't know all the details."

"John Wick was once the top assassin—practically a legend before he retired."

As Renji spoke, Ginny gained a clearer understanding of this new entry on the bounty board and nodded.

"You're right, that's definitely underpriced."

She looked at Renji with curiosity.

"how do you compare to him?"

Renji smiled.

"We're not even from the same world."

Though he didn't say it outright, the confidence in his voice and complete lack of concern clearly showed—he didn't see John Wick as a threat at all.

Ginny's eyes gleamed with interest. Letting the John Wick mission go, she said:

"I'll go see if there's a more fitting contract for you."

"Go on."

Receiving Renji 's approval, Ginny turned and left the room, heading toward the mission hall of the hotel.

Renji watched her leave, then turned his gaze back to the world outside the window.

My real name was Hayashi Renji, from Neo-Sky Sector 7 the Hidden Waterfall Village 150 years from Boruto Shinobi Era, it's now a crumbling slum under the Azure Grid sky. I died chasing a pixelated ninja. While playing the Naruto mobile game one day, I was trying to pull the new Sannin card—Jiraiya the Gallant. After my boss kicked me from my job and sank $3,000 and still not getting all the fragments , I have starved to death.

And somehow, I was reborn in this world.

This planet is called Earth, sure—but it's nothing like the one I came from.

After all, the massive Stark Industries billboard in Times Square is hard to miss, and every entertainment magazine seems to show the latest cover girl falling into Tony Stark's arms.

This is the Marvel Universe. Or at least, in my eyes, it's an American drama universe wearing a Marvel Cinematic Universe mask.

When I first regained my past memories, I found myself in a filthy alleyway in New York, dressed in rags and grime.

Looking at myself, I figured I was either an orphan or some runaway brat.

And the Naruto mobile game that pissed me to death? It became my "cheat"—a Naruto Game System embedded in my consciousness.

Of course, this cheat was just as infuriating as before—perpetually "loading."

Eventually, I was adopted by a pair of assassins from the Continental Hotel. They took me in when I was just six and raised me to be a killer.

Their training methods were brutal—especially for a child they picked up off the street. Vicious doesn't even begin to describe it.

If not for the thought of my slowly-loading cheat system keeping me going, I probably wouldn't have survived their "training."

During that time, my hands were stained with blood at an age when most kids were playing tag.

If I had no memories of my past life—if I were just some clueless child—maybe I would've adapted without question and grown into a pure assassin.

And this life? It shattered my world view and rebuilt it from the ground up.

I had tried to escape, once. But I was too young, and the cheat hadn't activated yet. That one escape attempt ended in failure—and brutal punishment.

After that, I stopped trying.

Life is like assault: if you can't resist, you might as well learn to enjoy it.

So under their training, I grew up fast—learning every assassination skill: disguise, close combat, tracking and counter-tracking, marksmanship, even chemistry and physics for assassination techniques.

Forget school. Elementary, high school, college—I never touched them.

I wasn't some bourbon-drinking loner who got adopted by a military big shot.

But I wasn't uneducated, either.

As a professional assassin, I learned more than most high school students—just different content.

On my 18th birthday, I finally awakened my Naruto Game System .

That damned Naruto mobile game finished loading.

And in that same year, I "graduated" as a killer.

The name Renji Mercer came from my adoptive parents' surname. Though I eventually sacrificed them, I kept the name—and lived up to their expectations.

I became a renowned assassin under the Continental.

After all, even before I awakened my cheat, I had already earned a seat at the High Table.

With over a decade of training under my belt, changing careers wasn't an option anymore.
