📖 Chapter 1: Woke Up Furry
I was chosen by the system.
Right after I died…
In a stupid war.
No glory. No last words.
I died because I stepped on a butterfly mine.
> — [SYSTEM ACTIVATING...]
When I opened my eyes... everything was wrong.
No blood.
No pain.
Just... grass. Wind. And fur.
— "Meow..."
Wait—was that... my voice?!
I looked down.
Tiny paws. Soft white fur.
A tail flicking behind me.
I had become... a kitten.
Then a strange screen floated in front of my eyes:
---
[LIFEFORM STATUS]
• Name: None
• Species: Beast (Young)
• Age: 2
---
— "Meow...?"
What the hell is this?
I tried to open the system menu.
Nothing worked.
Only flickering screens full of glitches.
> ERROR_404: Host link failed.
ID mismatch: Eon_173 not synced with host.
System Recovery: 12%...
I couldn't even stand.
This body... was starving.
— "Meow..."
That's when I heard voices.
Human voices.
> — "Why is he here?!"
Screams.
Then the sound of flesh being torn.
I dragged myself out of the grass.
And saw it.
A massive white panther.
Fur soaked in blood.
Ripping through a group of humans like they were made of paper.
One of them was still alive.
Crawling. Crying. Legs crushed.
— "Meow..."
He's eating them alive...
I wanted to run. But the panther turned.
Its eyes—blood red—locked onto me.
Shit.
I froze.
Ready to die.
Again.
But then…
It licked me.
A warm, wet, rough lick across my fur.
Not aggressive. Not hostile.
...Almost gentle?
It growled something in a strange tongue.
I didn't understand a word.
But then, out of nowhere—a grilled fish appeared in front of me.
— "Meow!!"
It smells amazing...
I tried to resist.
I did.
But hunger won.
I devoured it.
Bite by bite.
Then the panther roared.
The last injured man was crushed instantly.
Only corpses remained.
The panther licked me again.
Tore apart the rest of the fish.
Placed it in front of me like… food for a child.
— "Meow...?!"
What is happening?!
I didn't want to eat.
But I couldn't stop myself.
And once I was full—
SNAP!
The panther bit down behind my neck.
Lifted me up like a cub.
And carried me off...

> The world had changed.
And I...
wasn't myself anymore.
