Chapter 1 - Fate uncode : chapter 1 the side of me I hated for years

‎In this day one of my friend out of nowhere a light came through him. The sound of his heart beating, his breathing, the heat of his raging blood was all felt — not seen neither heard.

‎He began to glow, his soft voice was a devil's one. As he screams, everyone ran and left him.

‎I didn't move, not even a flinch because I was turning into something else just like him.....

‎.................fate uncode...............

‎Before 3 centuries ago, there were stars that appeared out of nowhere creating a magnificent array of colors in the sky. The stars were moving fast toward the sun and still lightened up the day and the night 24 hours.

‎At last the day arrived and the stars fell upon humans. The more they got close to earth the more they decreased their size and shone brighter. They all chose a person and got attached to them. Each star chose their vessel and planted a power system inside of them that allowed them to use magic and mana. Around 2 billion were chosen and out of the human population, they were called the uniques.

‎On a regular basis humans thought the world would change into a supernatural world without concern for the consequences. Scientists got excited and began studying this magic until disaster appeared on earth — tsunami, earthquake, tornadoes, and so on caused so many deaths. The reason was that the earth wasn't able to hold such intense mana around the world that unexpectedly made it unstable and caused so many disasters. Then not too long after that, the humans weapon themselves by anti-magic tech weapons that work using those who are left over of the stars' physical body. They turned black once they chose a vessel and became almost like a regular stone but still ended up as anti-magic gems. Then the evolution of human vs unique war began — the era named the revolution by war began and a human mother and unique child were separated. Much worse, they ended up as enemies. This is that bloody era that was at a cost of survival for both sides.

‎Then after years, 8 strong and frontline warriors who were leaders of each division stood out to reclaim peace for both sides by creating a portal on earth and teleporting using the portal to a supernatural world. From that early time humans and uniques reclaimed peace and began their own life. The portal still exists exchanging goods and new creations between the worlds.

‎Sayaka Kanzaki: Thanks for listening

‎Classmates: Woooo

‎Classmates clapping began, shouting

‎Teacher: That was a very interesting writing you got there. Did you write it by yourself?

‎Sayaka: Yes teacher, I did.

‎Teacher: How much time did it take you to write and practice?

‎Sayaka: About 20 minutes and so...

‎Teacher: As always, our perfect student Sayaka.

‎Cheering her as she gets back to her seat.

‎This is the effect of the student named Sayaka Kanzaki — the most elegant, gorgeous and rich, known for her intelligence and feared by her family name Kanzaki girl and... yet we have unspoken history.

‎Sayaka smiling an evil smile while watching me.

‎Ohhhh.... dear, I'm in big trouble.

‎...............fate uncode....................

‎Ohhh.... dear, I'm in big trouble.

‎Sayaka Kanzaki — what does she want from me by now? I thought she had forgotten me. I'm just living as someone worse than ordinary. Why is she acting like this? Well, walking on a road a lot at this time of hour is kinda bad 'cause... ohh... shit, there comes the bullies.

‎Bully 1: Yo pal, whatcha doin'?

‎Bully 2: Solving some ass math problems.

‎Bully 3: Not every day we see you glooming.

‎Bully 4: Let's get this straight and finish this.

‎Bully 1: Yeah, it's time to beat up the kid.

‎Shit, they always beat my face, damn.

‎I need to hide it.

‎Huh, is that Sayaka? What the heck is she doing at this time of hour, bro? Why is she smiling? Is she really enjoying it for real? Well, why not, since she sent them herself. What a hassle.

‎After a while, I really felt it this time — really hard. I sat on the street while watching the sun shining. It's about to turn late but what's there to do at home? Better enjoy today's last sun as if I won't see her.

‎Stranger: Excuse me, can I sit here?

‎He looks a bit sad, no, he totally looks shit, damn bro. He must have had some bad things happen to him.

‎Me: Yeah, of course sir.

‎After a while I said: Do you come here often?

‎Stranger: No, it's my first time.

‎Me: I hear ya sir.

‎Stranger notices the wound on my face and asks if I'm okay.

‎I said: Yeah, I ran into some fights, that's all.

‎He said: You seem kinda sad about it though. Are you okay? Is there anything I can do to help you?

‎Then I replied and said:

‎"Who'd like it when you're almost beaten to death? But you know what, we don't have the right to ask — just moving forward is all we can do."

‎He was about to cry.

‎He said:

‎"You're strong, kid. For real, you're strong. But I don't think I'm strong. Last month, a very traumatizing shit happened to me. My boss is a genius and very charming, she always does what's best for our company. Not too long ago, she said she would go out with me and asked me herself. Then I said yes. After that, it was peaceful... until I saw that she doesn't like me. I tested her a lot, and we broke up. But now, after months, I heard that she became my ex just to cheat and tame my handsome friend. He doesn't even work in our company — just came with me to the company anniversary. I think she saw him that day and wanted him.

‎Here I am, alone. I don't know if I should work in that company anymore. It's been a month and they all say that 'this guy is the second choice...' and some of them even said, 'He even thought he could be with her, but she played him. Damn, I guess he was a loser.'

‎Well, my friend is better than her, so yeah, bro — I'm acting normal, trying not to cause any scenes, you know?"

‎I really felt it. He is so kind. He just told me about what happened even though he is in his twenties.

‎I said:

‎"Answer me this, bro — people hate you for no reason, you're available for everyone but you get ignored all the time. People only hurt you, and even now, no one respects you. But you smile, laugh, and still continue like nothing happened just not to destroy the conversation with others.

‎I bet the conversation isn't even volunteered — it's forced. You know why?"

‎With my cunning, locked-in face, I said that to him. He was so shocked and said:

‎"How did you know? How...?"

‎He panicked.

‎Then I told him:

‎"One of my relatives had a life like that. He wants me to tell you what you should do."

‎He said:

‎"Yes, please, yes — tell me."

‎I said:

‎"Three things.

‎First — act like you don't know them. If they ask you, reply and leave. No more trying to get their attention. Try to finish your work on time so you can leave from work.

‎Second — just because they invite you to a party or something, never go, even if you want to. Just leave.

‎Third — stop smiling and laughing, because you're gonna be considered weak just for laughing. Never laugh, and never even get yourself into pity talks.

‎And after acting like this — becoming cold and pulling your energy away — they will whisper. And don't you whisper back. If they say it in front of you, address it properly. If they whisper behind your back — they're behind you for a reason. Simple, right?

‎When you cut off the wrong people in your life, you begin attracting the right ones. Never believe anyone. Smile, but only to the people you should give your smile to — not just everyone. Your laughs and happiness should only be for people whom you think deserve it."

‎He got very emotional and even cried.

‎Then I said:

‎"Go live your life. Stop thinking about small things. Go find your love partner while creating a better dad for the future, bro. And visit family members and people who took care of you — those you didn't have time to talk to. You're not alone....."

‎He was not able to say thank you. But I said:

‎"Don't say thank you — better thank God today, bro, not me sir. I know that for sure."

‎He then calmed down and I said:

‎"It's getting dark. See you soon, sir."

‎He said:

‎"Have a blessed life. I hope you get good grades, make your family proud, and succeed in what I couldn't achieve. Thank you, kid. See you."

‎Then I began walking home.

‎---

‎To be honest, I had a story with Sayaka.

‎My mom was a house cleaner in a fancy house. She's a very hard worker. She worked in our neighbor's house — very good, rich people. She always got paid nicely.

‎So when I came from kindergarten, since our home is small and I like to sit and play games, she was scared that I would get hurt alone. So even if it was in our neighbor's house she worked in, she took me there.

‎And there, I met a girl my age and played with her.

‎Yes — the girl I played with is Sayaka Kanzaki.

‎She was lonely because of her restricted family.

‎Eventually, we became close as kids. I was always uncomfortable playing with kids, but with her — it was awesome. I guess it was because she could get whatever we played.

‎Day by day, we grew up really liking each other to another level... until she went to study abroad.

‎She was 10 when she left, and by that time we had already known each other for 3 whole years.

‎Then after 5 years, she came back as a spoiled kid.

‎Now that we're in middle school, I get beat up by her ass followers just because I beat her in exams.

‎Listen — life is not fair and never will be.

‎No one is wrong for being honest.

‎If anything, we should be proud of everything.

‎And I know that we — the ones who are holding everything in — are the villains.

‎The more we get older, the more it hurts.

‎Every drama that was made on us by others — they're just there to change our smile.

‎We smile when it's worth it.

‎Well, I don't necessarily smile though — it's all an act.

‎What a bothersome life.

‎---

‎My father lashes out the moment I get home, saying I should have a part-time job to help my family because he thinks I'm messing around.

‎No good grades.

‎Of course, if I get good grades — Sayaka will damn my ass.

‎That girl... I might really kill her instead of saving her.

‎And now that my mother is pregnant, she can't work.

‎Father ends up working overtime and doesn't even sleep much.

‎He has become really in bad shape, and I'm just chilling with no grades nor money.

‎As the firstborn child, I'm supposed to have at least something to satisfy my family with, but I have none.

‎Not even good in sports.

‎And I don't even have friends — because Sayaka's father was the one who got me into the elite school, and he pays for it.

‎So it's okay for me and good for my family that they don't need to pay tuition.

‎But still — as it stands now, I'm worthless to my father.

‎He said:

‎"All your grades are dropping down. Every last thing you've been doing is fighting, right? Huh? Have you finally become a gang member?

‎Then why don't you go rob people to help us out financially, huh?

‎You think it's cool coming every day with a new wound?

‎Do you want your mother to die of worrying?

‎Your mom is pregnant and yet you… You know what?

‎You're useless.

‎You shouldn't have been born as my son."

‎On the other hand, my mother loves me so much that she worries about every little thing that happens to me.

‎She has seen how rich people take care of their children and how their children get successful. She says it's their fault — my parents' — for not giving me enough warmth, love, money, and comfort.

‎Actually, I moved at age 6.

‎From age 2, I was living with grandpa until he died.

‎Then I came to mom and dad.

‎Mother said to dad:

‎"That's enough, honey. He didn't do anything wrong. Please go easy on him."

‎Father got annoyed and said:

‎"Get out of my face now, such a useless bastard."

‎---

‎I'm actually not good at socializing.

‎I can't study and become one of the top students because Sayaka will just get me beat up.

‎I can't go out with friends — because I don't even have one.

‎Just sitting, doing nothing, seems like the solution — but not really.

‎Because I have anime, cartoons, manga, manhwa, some dramas, novels, and games.

‎I feel like I'm drunk whenever I play, read, or watch.

‎Because they help me forget reality itself.

‎To be honest — I wish I was born 300 years ago.

‎Maybe I'd have been one of the 2 billion.

‎Or 100 years ago — when the Aura farmers, the ones with systems, were only 800 from the 8 divisions — the countries of the 8 people who awoke as grand magic users.

‎800 people awakened.

‎I wish I had been there.

‎I would've definitely been one.

‎Most of the stars go to those who are weak, helpless, and want power — and know how to use it.

‎---

‎For some reason, I learned hacking, programming, and coding — so many skills just to go into the dark web.

‎While I opened and entered the dark web, I finally succeeded.

‎Wait, what's that?

‎It says........

‎I can't believe it.

‎This is something unbelievable.

‎This year...

‎I can't believe that there are gonna be 4 system users who will awake as the 8 awakened.

‎News saying

‎Journalist:

‎"There are 2 months left until the day of the magnificent stars raining upon us.

‎We will celebrate the whole day — cosplay.

‎What makes it interesting is that it's celebrated in the whole world and reminds us of the day we reunited with peace."

‎So yeah, there has been a lot of stuff going on in my mind lately that I forgot this info. I heard they all are likely to be different — 8 people awakening. I might get lucky.

‎Next day, my mom came and she said that I was going to go with her shopping.

‎I humbly asked, "Isn't Dad going to come?"

‎She said that my dad will come, then I have no need to go. But after a moment, my mom was gone, I realized that our little childhood friend had somewhere to go and she already left.

‎I figured I might as well check on her, as she is my duty. I'm not getting paid for nothing.

‎I got back and told Mom I will go and I got ready then.

‎At the mall, I saw her getting into a dark corner with some boys. So yeah, I turned my speaker on — her speaker that I use to track her down to be honest. She was that dumb enough to accept and came to a dark corner where people think it's either romantic stuff or shady stuff.

‎Then I asked the security:

‎"Sir, you're gonna get into trouble. I saw a kid trying to find a corner to hide and I think he found the back of the mall very comforting — that he is going to use it as a restroom."

‎The security ran fast to try and stop the kid — though I lied — he didn't even say a word to the others. They thought something shady must be happening and they followed him, and it turns out they found our neighbor girl was getting assaulted. Things just happened so fast. They always beat me up and get their money that now they wanted to abduct her. And so that was a clear reason why she is so dumb... but is she really?

‎Then after that, I saw something that moved my heart. It was silly though. It was something I could afford — it was a baby's socks.

‎Then I gave it to Mom. After we got out of the shopping, Dad was shocked and said,

‎"Did you use your lunch money for this?"

‎Then I said nothing except,

‎"You guys go on ahead. There's somewhere I wanna go."

‎Mom was touched by it so much that she was about to cry. But it was a message for her saying that I'm still decent — that I will do my best not to be a dumbass. At least I showed her I care for the most part.

‎Well actually, I expected that someone would contact me about this. So yeah, that's what I want to use this as — an excuse. The moment I saw the black car, I knew they were coming.

‎Then I crossed the road and went to the car. The door opened, and after I got in — someone of high caliber, someone who is always in front — the neighbor girl's father, the current leader of the Kanzaki family — Sayaka's father — he just came and asked me:

‎"Why was she in such a situation?"

‎Then I calmly expressed the situation,

‎"That we don't want her to know that we are following and seeing every move she makes — to make sure that doesn't happen to her. And know this — almost all of my school life is getting damned because of her, not to mention my own family who don't even know about this. And everything that happened, including the witch, will come to an end after two months — the day the awakeners, and the day we all celebrate."

‎He was sorry and even said,

‎"You did all you can for her, even if she is harassing and bullying you. I should really thank you."

‎And that's exactly what I wanted — to make him feel guilty. Even more guilty.

‎The so-called leader, the most feared and respected one — is apologizing to me. Just for lashing out.

‎Such a wonderful success.

‎A month later

‎Class was good, and we even had fun—well, I should say they did. The damn girl really had her evil eye on me and thought I was a half-assed, weak boy... until a month later.

‎On a night in the mountains, where the moon felt like it was between us, me and Sayaka were having a chat. She completely changed her facial expression and even felt fear and trembled when I smiled like a devil and said:

‎"You're awakened, aren't you?"

‎---

‎Fate Uncoded

‎— A month before

‎The following day, we were about to witness the new 8 Awakeners that were said to be legendary. That day is celebrated and remembered as a memorial. The calendars are off the charts—it's a worldwide celebration. The planet Earth itself shines with fireworks across the globe to express our gratitude and remember the stars and people they took to death with them.

‎---

‎The Day Before the Awakening

‎Mom went to our neighbor's house and, I swear, made food enough for the whole city. Everyone was having fun. Sayaka locked herself in her room. Everyone thought it was because of what happened to her at the mall—but only me and her father knew it wasn't that. It was something else.

‎The day the Awakeners awaken is tomorrow.

‎Surprisingly, I saw Mom and Sayaka talk. Mom said pretty cute stuff to her, not knowing what's going on between us or what Sayaka did. Sayaka did the same, but paused when she heard Mom say:

‎"Thanks for helping my son in class. He's not studying and not even managing his homework, but he told me that even if he's like this, he still manages to do fine thanks to you."

‎Sayaka asked Mom, "Does he tell you about me?"

‎Mom said, "My son says, 'She never fails to impress me. She's perfect.'"

‎She was half hurt. Then she slapped her face and said it was a bug, and went to her door and locked herself up.

‎Naturally, I stayed in the yard, and at night I saw her going out for a walk. I followed her and saw her sitting on the nearest mountain. She was just looking at the moon the whole night. She returned and slept around midnight.

‎Then she worked with decoration, and before 7 PM, she ran to the mountain again—to the same place—and began to cry. This time, she held flowers in her hand.

‎I walked straight to her and, while smiling like a devil she had never seen before, I said:

‎"You are an Awakened, aren't ya, Sayaka?"

‎She was so shocked and said,

‎"I let my guard down..."

‎Even though she was 24/7 wide open.

‎She froze and said,

‎"You... what are you doing here?"

‎I laughed and said,

‎"You know how much I suffered? Without sleep, for days. Isolated. Beaten up. What a shame, don't you think?"

‎She stood and said,

‎"What are you talking about, moron?"

‎I said,

‎"Are you, by chance... the Emperor of Dark Elfens? The Immortal Witch?"

‎Then her dark mana flowed around the mountain and she said,

‎"What the heck... how did ya—"

‎Then she got speechless.

‎I sat on the ground and smiling that irritating smile of mine and said : you really don't get it do you
