Chapter 9 - The Warmth of the Night Sea Breeze

Beachfront Villa – 3:30 PM

After the photoshoot and lunch, the Oblivion crew didn't head straight back to the dorm.

They were scheduled to stay a few nights at a private villa in the Ancol area—secluded, peaceful, and perfect for shooting casual content like behind-the-scenes vlogs, Q&As, and random challenges for their official channel.

The villa had a modern tropical design, two floors, and a spacious yard facing the beach. The sea breeze flowed gently through the open balcony. Room assignments had already been made—two people per room.

Zio dragged his suitcase into the room he was sharing with Hanu.

"Well, looks like I'm stuck with you again, Han," he grinned before flopping onto the soft mattress.

"You say that like it's a curse," Hanu replied, placing his backpack on the side table.

"Not a curse, but you... at night, you turn into a penguin trapped in a freezer. Cold."

"Sorry, I'm not cold—you're just clingy," Hanu stuck out his tongue.

Meanwhile, in the room next door, Robin and Bimo were unpacking their gear.

Bimo—usually chatty—was unusually quiet, simply watching Robin fidget as he zipped and unzipped a small pouch filled with headsets, chargers, and a walkie-talkie.

"Bro…" Bimo finally spoke. "What's up with you? You're quiet, but you're moving around like you're on edge."

  Robin turned sharply. "Nothing."

"You were staring at Hanu's room from the window earlier. What's going on, huh?"

Robin let out a soft sigh and sat on the edge of the bed, shaking his head slowly.

  "I'm just… thinking about something."

Bimo narrowed his eyes suspiciously but didn't press further. He knew Robin wasn't someone you could push to talk—especially not when it involved that someone.

Late Afternoon – Villa Backyard

The members had changed into relaxed outfits—simple t-shirts, shorts, and sandals.

They sat together in the backyard, enjoying the breeze while prepping for the afternoon vlog challenge. Basic lighting and camera equipment had been set up by the content staff.

"First challenge: make the best watermelon juice without a blender!" Leo announced.

"This one's for the strong guys!" Axel flexed dramatically, rolling up his sleeves and poking his biceps.

"You? Strong? You nearly tripped carrying a bean bag earlier," Rei snorted.

  Laughter erupted among them.

Hanu sat in the middle of the group, flanked by Zio and Leo. But every now and then, his eyes drifted toward Robin's balcony, which remained empty.

Robin stood a bit away from the others, quietly observing the group. Occasionally, he spoke into his walkie-talkie, coordinating with Bimo and the other bodyguards stationed outside the villa's perimeter.

Zio, seated beside Hanu, nudged his friend's arm suddenly.

"What's up with you? You've been spacing out. Thinking about Robin?"

Hanu snapped his head around. "What? No…"

"You two sat together in the van, right? I saw through the rearview mirror."

Hanu said nothing. But a faint blush began to bloom on his cheeks.

Zio grinned. "Ooooh! Don't tell me you're falling for him…"

  "Lame."

"Oh? Just like what you said to Robin this morning?" Zio cackled, mimicking Hanu's voice. "'…lame'—but your smile was so cute!"

Hanu threw a small pillow at Zio. "IDIOT!"

But he couldn't hide his laughter anymore. Beneath all the teasing and banter, something real was growing—quietly, but undeniably.

Night – 9:20 PM

After dinner and a round of exhausting games, the members began retreating to their rooms one by one.

Hanu was brushing his teeth in the bathroom with Zio when his phone buzzed. A message popped up.

  Robin:

  Are you still awake?

Hanu stared at the screen for a few seconds, then typed a reply quickly.

  Hanu:

  Yeah. Why?

  Robin:

Come to the back balcony. Just five minutes.

Hanu paused, then looked into the mirror. He quickly splashed water on his face and left the bathroom. Zio, catching sight of him, called out, "Hey! Where are you going? You haven't even done your skincare!"

"Gonna get some fresh air. Natural glow, bro," Hanu said as he slipped out the door.

Out on the back balcony, the dim light from the wooden ceiling made everything feel softer and quieter. The beach beyond was dark, but the waves still whispered gently in the distance.

Robin was already there, leaning on the railing. When Hanu arrived, he only glanced at him.

"Why'd you call me out here at night?" Hanu whispered.

Robin exhaled slowly. "Just wanted to see you."

  Hanu fell silent.

Robin continued, "Earlier you asked… why I act differently around you. But you didn't stick around for the full answer."

"…and now you want to explain?"

Robin turned toward him, eyes calm—not pressured, just sincere.

"I'm not someone who trusts easily. This world is loud, Han. My job, my life… it's all chaos. But you—you're the quiet that lets me breathe."

  Hanu held his breath.

Robin stepped closer. "If being near me makes you feel safe, don't hesitate to come. I can't promise I'll keep your world calm all the time—but I promise I'll always be the place you can find calm."

Hanu lowered his head slightly. Then, in the next moment, he stepped closer and leaned into Robin's chest—no words needed. Just the sound of two heartbeats, slowly syncing.

  "Robin…" he murmured.

  "Hm?"

"If the world gets too loud for you… I'll whisper a song. Just so you can sleep."

Robin smiled softly. He lowered his head and whispered near Hanu's ear, "If it's your voice… I'll have sweet dreams every night."

Neither of them moved. The breeze played with their hair gently, and the night wrapped around them like a warm blanket.

In a world far too noisy, they had found something rare between them—

—a silence that felt like home.
