Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 (Remastered)

The next few days were relatively peaceful for Tristain. As aside from school, Chikara dojo and testing his limits, there wasn't much to do.

In school, he mainly talked to peter and their relationship steadily improved.

While he wasn't a fan of studying, he still tried as he didn't want to needlessly worry his mother – Anna.

Thankfully Peter had a supercomputer for a brain so he could explain the few things Tristain didn't understand. Their main discussions were about the newest scientific discoveries or the latest video games.

There was even a time when Peter had brought up Tony Stark and how excited he was about the new Stark expo.

As in this timeline Uncle Ben was still alive, Peter didn't have any guilt weighing on him. But Tristain was sure that even without it, Peter was going to become a great superhero.

He was a good lad, and the universe literally needed a Spider-man

Aside from his normal life, he was also working hard in the dojo.

He was assigned to the basic beginner classes which were honestly easy for him, as his body absorbed the lessons like a sponge did water.

In the past week, he learned the basic stance and some attack and defense moves. There was also a breathing technique that the instructor taught him.

It was pretty useful overall as a foundation.

As he was getting better in the basics each day, it didn't take him long to become the best student among the beginners.

Tristain's speed of improvement and learning attitude was a slight shock for Colleen who was used to dealing with teenage kids overflowing with hormones.

"Why don't you let me hit your pretty face, Tristain? I would love to dent it a little." Markus, a student who had started learning with Tristain snickered.

The other students watched them excitedly with some of Markus' friends cheering him on. On the side, Colleen watched.

"Can't let you do that, Mark. You see, girls wouldn't like me if I looked like you."

"You sure have a lot of confidence in yourself." Markus frowned and stepped forward with a punch. It was aimed straight at his face and Tristain dodged it easily by sidestepping.

Then, he immediately threw a punch back, straight at the chest.

A groan escaped Markus's lips as the punch made him crouch down in pain. He tried not to get defeated so soon and put up a fight, but Tristain wasn't going to give him a chance.

He immediately sent out a kick on his side, making him fall to the floor.

This marked the end of the clash.

"Markus lost. The winner is Tristain." Colleen spoke amidst the whispers of the students and walked to Tristain.

"Well done." She said with a hint of pride.

"Thank you, sensei. I didn't think it would be this easy."

"Well, Markus talks more than he fights." Colleen said, giving a disappointed glance to Markus. She was the type to care for most of her students. As almost all of them were from poor households, including Markus, she wanted them to get a scholarship from the Hand, so they could live a better life.

At least she thought they would get a better life.

"By the way, If you continue like this, you will soon get the scholarship."

Tristain smiled wryly as Colleen mentioned the scholarship.

But today, he didn't have time to think about it. It's already been more than a week since he landed in the Marvel universe and had chosen the hero path.

Today, it was his first official day as a vigilante.
