Chapter 3 - Realisation

"Hey… human. Hey… wake up."

The unfamiliar voice stirred Kichu from unconsciousness. His eyes fluttered open, and the first thing he saw was—

"AHHH!"

A terrifying creature with three eyes and jagged, irregular teeth was smiling at him.

Without thinking, Kichu jumped back and started hurling stones at it.

"D-Don't come near me! I swear I'll kill you with this stone!"

The creature tilted its head, unfazed.

"Yeah, yeah, I've heard that before. By the way, that stone isn't big enough to kill me. You'll need a bigger one."

"Shut up! I was going to the gym for three mont—no, three years! So don't even try me!"

The creature blinked its three eyes.

"I have no idea what that means, but… isn't introducing yourself before a conversation the polite thing to do?"

Kichu narrowed his eyes.

"Ohh… I see. You just want to know my name so you can put it on the menu before cooking me, huh?!"

He hurled another stone.

The creature let out a deep laugh.

"Haha! I don't eat humans. But can we at least talk about how you tried to kill me?"

"I tried to kill you?! Are you joking?!"

"JOKING?! Look at this!"

The creature pointed at a large bruise on its head.

Kichu frowned.

"I don't remember causing that. You're lying."

"Lying? Man, listen—" the creature sighed. "I was just minding my own business, doing my morning routine near that rock, when you came crashing down from the sky and landed right on my head!"

"Wait… what?!"

"Yeah! I got so scared I flew 500 meters away! And then I had to walk all the way back here, only to find you unconscious on the ground. So I treated your wounds and waited for you to wake up. And now, the first thing you do is attack me?!"

Kichu stared at the creature, processing what it just said.

"Is that… true?"

"Yes! Every word!"

Kichu scratched the back of his head, feeling guilty.

"Uh… then I'm really sorry for causing you trouble. And… thanks for saving me."

"It is settled then. My name is Saas" the thing said.

"Nice to meet you Saas, my name is Abhinand but you can call me Kichu." Kichu replied.

"okay Kichu can you tell me the circumstances. why are you here?"

"That's a big story." Kichu said with a deep breath.

"Okay then we can say it in my lab" Saas said.

"Okay."

They entered the lab, and Kichu described everything.

"Hmm... hearing all this, I think it's Immortal's project," Saas said.

"Immortal? What's that? A company?" Kichu asked in confusion.

"Oh, I forgot—you don't know anything, right? Are you at least aware that you're on another planet?"

"Yeah, I know. I'm not surprised because I figured it out when I saw those weirdos," Kichu replied.

"Okay then, let me start with the story of the universe. It's a long one, so listen carefully," Saas said.

"Yeah, yeah, go ahead," Kichu replied.

"Hmm... where do I start? Do you know how the universe was created?" Saas asked.

"Isn't it the Big Bang? The collision of atoms or whatever the fuck that was?" Kichu replied.

"Nope. The universe was created by the True God. It is said that He created 12 universes and split His own soul into 12 pieces, assigning each to guard one universe. People believe this universe has a god too, but it hasn't been proven. In reality, this universe is controlled by six people, known as the Six Devils: The Immortal, Sons, Huge Rimon, Six Head, Flip Head, and Midnight."

"Haha... those names sound like mobile phone brands. Is there anyone named Samsung?" Kichu asked sarcastically.

"Don't take them lightly. You will tremble with fear when they approach you," Saas warned.

"Why is that, may I ask?"

"Listen carefully, I haven't even finished the story yet."

"Yeah, sorry. Please continue."

"Everyone in this universe has an inborn power called a 'Sin,'" Saas explained.

"Power? Are you joking? So now you're telling me Marvel stories?" Kichu asked in shock.

"No, I don't know how to explain it properly. Look at this," Saas said, raising his hand. Surprisingly, a nearby cup slowly floated into his palm.

Kichu was stunned. "How... is that even possible? Oh, so you know magic!"

"No, it's my Sin—Levitation. It's just a common Sin. I can levitate small objects with it," Saas explained.

"Wow! Can I have a power like this? Please tell me!" Kichu asked eagerly.

"Yeah, you can. Sins are classified into three main types: Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3. Class 1 Sins are extremely rare—only a few exist. Of course, the Six Devils possess Class 1 Sins."

"I have a question. You said there are four types, but you only mentioned three," Kichu pointed out.

"That's because, technically, there are only three. The fourth type contains only one Sin, and in the entire history of this universe, only one person has ever wielded it," Saas said with a sense of pride.

"Is it really that powerful? Who was that person? Was he stronger than the Six Devils?" Kichu asked with curiosity.

"The legendary Sin is Time Control, and the only person to ever possess it was the greatest man who ever lived—Casimir, my master."

"Man, you just lost all my interest. Time Control? You guys have all this advanced technology, and you can't build a machine that controls time? Pathetic," Kichu said with disappointment.

"Of course, we have machines that can manipulate time, but they come with massive disadvantages. Using them even once consumes an unimaginable amount of energy. The only power source capable of handling such energy is a rare element called Euroxa—the rarest element in the universe."

"But I don't get it. Why is this Sin so powerful?" Kichu asked.

"This Sin grants godlike abilities. Even the Six Devils feared it. Isn't that enough to tell you how powerful it is?"

"Whatever. Just tell me about this Casimir guy. Was he the one who taught you all this? Can I meet him? Is he still alive?" Kichu asked.

"No, you can't. He disappeared 1 million years ago. Since then, no one has heard anything about him," Saas replied bitterly.

"1 million years? Just how ancient are you?"

"Haha, it's just 50 earth years. I'm only 120 Earth years old. This is just a small planet, so I calculated using this planet's time system. The day is shorter in this planet*. Do you know that the universe has a standard time structure? It's actually similar to Earth's. We calculate 400 days as a year in outer space. Inside planets, the way time is measured differs, but it still aligns with universal time."

"Yeah, but how does universal time even work? I mean, how do you calculate days across the universe?"

"Oh, you're actually clever. There's a massive clock at the center of the universe that has been running since the beginning. Just like the ones you have on Earth, it tracks time in 60-second minutes, 60-minute hours, and 24-hour days."

"Now that makes zero sense. How can the entire universe follow the same time structure? What about time dilation? Even Earth has different time zones! We're talking about planetary-level differences—gravity, relativity… Ahh, I'm going crazy!" Kichu scratched his head in frustration.

"Haha... you have a lot to learn, kid. The physics of your planet isn't the ultimate truth," Saas said with a mysterious smile, clearly hiding deeper knowledge.

"If you told all this to a scientist, they'd smack you with their boots. By the way, how do you know so much about Earth? And why the hell didn't I know we could go all Superman?" Kichu asked, his curiosity growing.

"That's actually a good thing—humans are lucky not to know."

"Oh yeah? And why is that?"

"You have a lot to learn, Kichu. Earth is an isolated planet—so far removed that it takes traveling millions of light-years from Earth to even find another inhabited world. That's how distant Earth is. Many thought it was just a barren rock. But I know it's the most beautiful planet in the universe. There are many Earth-like planets, but yours holds a special place." Saas smiled.

"Looks like you got the wrong Earth. It's messed up, man. People are ugly inside. They kill their own family members. Can you imagine someone r*ping their own mother? That's how twisted Earth is," Kichu said bitterly.

"You think that's bad? Welcome to the real nightmare. You just unlocked the hard mode," Saas replied grimly.

"Let's put that aside for now. Do you have any idea where my friends are? If they're in danger, I want to save them," Kichu said.

"From what I've heard from you, this is Immortal's project. He collects teenagers from different planets and experiments on them. Normally, a person has only one Sin, but Immortal is trying to create beings with two Sins. My master was a renowned researcher, so Immortal approached him, pretending to be friendly. But Master rejected him and demanded that Immortal release all the children. Immortal refused, and that sparked one of the greatest rivalries in the universe."

"If Casimir was so powerful, why didn't he become one of the Six Devils?"

"He never wanted the title of 'Devil.' He dedicated his life to bringing peace to the universe—but he lost in the end."

"I have one more question."

"Go ahead."

"Why do you call this power a 'Sin'?"

Saas paused for a moment, then smiled.

"You'll understand in time."

"Why aren't you giving me straight answers? You're hiding so much!"

"I'm only telling you what you need to know. Everything has its time, Kichu."

"Anyway, what should I do now?" Kichu asked.

"Do you want to return to Earth? I can arrange a ride for you," Saas offered.

"Are you deaf? I just said I want to save my friends! Tell me how to do it

"There's only one solution—training. Train until you awaken your Sin. If Immortal's people selected you, there must be a reason. I'll train you until you become a warrior."

"How many days will it take?"

"Days? Kid, I'm talking about training, not eating. It'll take at least two years."

"Two years? My friends will die in that time!"

"If you're planning to travel, it'll take at least one year without a proper spaceship."

"One year?!"

"Don't worry, they'll be fine. It'll take at least two months for them to reach the facility. And after that, they'll have multiple batches to process. It's not just your friends they've kidnapped, you know? So you have time. And I have a solution to reduce the training time," Saas said.

"What is it?" Kichu asked.

"I've created a time chamber. It slows down time inside.

So, you can complete two years of training in just two or three months of real time," Saas said proudly.

Kichu stood silent for a moment, then jumped with excitement.

"Ohh Saas, you're a genius!" Kichu said.

"Oh, don't mention it. So, shall we begin training right away?" Saas asked.

"Yeah, please do that, sir."

"Are you mocking me?"

"No, sir."

Both laughed. And with that, Kichu's journey into reality began...

 -To Be Continued....

*For the clever lads out there...

Saas said Casimir disappeared 1 million years ago — and that's equal to just 50 years on Earth. You're probably wondering: how the hell is that possible?

Well, the planet Saas is on is actually an artificial one — created by him for experimental purposes. It has an extremely short orbital path, allowing it to complete one full revolution (a year) every 31.6 seconds.

So yeah, on that planet, 31.6 seconds = 1 year.

Which means 1 million years = 50 Earth years.

Hope that clears it up…
