The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Chain is training. Chain was training like always ,running, sparing and learning new techniques.
The chain type soul weapons are pretty rare among crocodile men .Reptiles in general don't have a lot of control weapons. So the only new techniques he can learn are from the wood dragon men and water dragon man.
It is very hard to adapt the techniques of the wood dragon man, there soul weapons are usually vines who are filled with thorns, and there fighting style is based on that. But the worst one was the water dragon fighting style it was to fluid and his body wasn't compatible, it is too big and crocodile men have a noticeable hunchback that isn't fixable .
Chain has spent half a year trying to adapt the wood dragon man fighting style , he had to change the way the atack started and the speed, he couldn't control his chains in the same way the wood dragon man do , they can plant their soul weapons in the ground ,he can't so he needed to think of his own first move he came out with a simple vertical and horizontal atack combo, the other changes he made are that he needed to atack faster then wood dragon man and from a closer distance because he could not control his chains like the vines of the wood dragon man so slow atacks are out of the question, he needs to be close to the enemy to entangl his opponents is his chains faster.
No matter haw he tried the water dragon man fighting style couldn't be adapted for his form. Even if the water dragon man are the masters of control, there bodies are to different to his , the worst part is that there are techniques for chains ,but not for heavy metal chains like his but for light water chains. So he gave up on the water dragon man fighting style.
There are other chain combat styles out there but most of them are proprietary of the mammal empire.
So he had to make his own technique , from the ground up . Making a unique fighting style is hard but it has its benefits like unpredictability. It's going to be a hard and long journey but a rewarding journey.
