As the stone portal opened, a strange wind mixed with volcanic heat flowed from within, carrying faint sounds unlike anything Eren or Leylin had ever heard before.
Step into the Unknown:
Eren held Leylin's hand tightly, and they exchanged a quick glance before the two stepped inside the portal, surrounded by golden flames and clear winds to protect them from the unknown energy emanating from it.
As they crossed, Eren felt the winds within this world heavier but carrying a tremendous raw energy. Leylin felt that the fire here was a living being, watching her steps.
Land of Storms and Fire:
When the portal closed behind them, they found themselves on a dark red earth, punctuated by fissures from which spewed lava, while lightning storms swirled in the sky ceaselessly.
Eren exhaled slowly as he watched the small tornadoes suddenly form and disappear. Leylin looked at a fiery waterfall cascading down a distant mountain.
"This place... is full of raw fire."
Sounds of the Earth:
With each step on the hot rocks, Eren heard whispers in the wind. The fire around Leylin began to move on its own, drawing symbols in the air for a few moments before disappearing.
"The winds here speak an ancient language... as if they're telling me names I've never heard before."
Eren said, placing his hand on the winds.
Leylin replied quietly, "And the fire here... reminds me that there's a long past we haven't yet understood."
Meeting the First Guardians:
As they crossed one of the volcanic passages, the ground suddenly split open in front of them, releasing a column of fire mixed with swirling wind.
Out of the smoke emerged three figures wearing cloaks of ash and wind, their eyes glowing red and green.
"Who are you?"
The eldest said, his voice mingling with the ash-laden wind.
Eren raised his head firmly and said,
"We are the heirs of Wind and Fire... we have come in search of the truth."
The middle figure looked at Leylin and said, his voice like a blazing flame:
"Heir of Fire... are you ready to hear the first cries of Fire?"
The Mystery Revealed:
The Eldest Guardian said,
"This land is the land of the first storms... and here was born the fire you bear, and the winds that protect you."
Leylin felt a heat surge through her veins as the golden flame in her hand ignited involuntarily.
"Why have we been brought here?" she said, her voice trembling.
The Guardians' Will:
The Eldest Guardian replied, "For the shadows that have fallen upon your world... are only the beginning. Here, in the land of storms and fire, the ancient ash weaves its threads anew."
Eren and Leylin exchanged a silent glance as the winds around them began to swirl unsteadily, as if reacting to the Guardians' words.
New Testament:
The middle Guardian extended his hand, a black volcanic fire lit up in his palm, surrounded by a halo of powerful wind. He said,
"If you are to face the coming Ashes, you must first learn to control the fire and wind here... or it will consume you."
Leylin took a step forward, the fire in her hand burning brightly.
"Teach me... I want to end the Shadows wherever they exist."
Eren stood beside her, the winds swirling around him.
"And we will restore balance to these worlds... whatever the coming Shadows may be."
Chapter End:
The three Guardians smiled and said in unison, the wind and fire surrounding them:
"Then, let the training of the two heirs of Wind and Fire begin... in the Land of Storms."
In the sky, lightning bolts met with waterfalls of volcanic fire, heralding the beginning of a journey more powerful than anything they had faced before.
