Ten minutes after I returned, I walked around the food stalls and shops at the event. I found a bench to sit on and clear my mind.
Right now, I'm tired. For the first time in the last two years, I killed another monster.
Even though I've become accustomed to killing creatures that resemble humans, I still find the sensation of stabbing and striking something flesh-like unsettling.
When I struck the goblin's body back then, I felt a wave of disgust, but I tried not to dwell on it so I could push through the trial.
The reason I need to become a student is not only due to the plot of this world but also for my protection.
As I mentioned before, I never interacted with this story, which leaves me ignorant of its plot points.
If you are unaware of certain things, you could encounter danger along your path.
However, as long as I am part of the main storyline—or, in this case, the central setting of the academy—I can rely on some form of protection from the world itself.
Just by being in the core setting of this world, I can ensure my safety.
On the way here, I found myself surrounded by the natives of this world.
Some were crying after failing the trial, some were saddened because their friends didn't meet the requirements, and some were celebrating their success.
Watching their reactions, I realized that being part of the academy in this world is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that everyone desires.
So, seeing how many people failed the first trial—how should I say this? I feel bad, I guess.
While I didn't struggle with killing those goblins, the other children in this world find it challenging, which leads to their failure.
Maybe because I've read so many fantasy series, I never considered that killing something that resembles a human is not as easy as it sounds, even in a world where monsters and magic exist.

I looked at the endless blue sky and called out my status.
Looking down, I noticed additional hidden details below my skill description.
As I pressed it, the world stopped running again. Seeing this, I stood up and walked around the food stalls, looking for victims of bullying.
The world had stopped, and I could take advantage of the situation.
I'm not robbing innocent people, though; I'm only taking back stolen money from the bullies and giving it back to the victims while keeping a small compensation for my efforts.
I'm doing this right now, mostly because I don't have anything on me. Right now I'm wearing new clothes I didn't have before.
White long-sleeved shirt, pants, and leather boots. This is my current attire, except for the bracelet I have.
I don't have anything on me, I'm penniless with nothing in my name. So if I don't rob, I can't buy anything for myself.. I haven't eaten breakfast.
Remember, I got sent here when I was about to go inside my house, and I haven't eaten anything yet, I'm starving, you know, killing a monster takes a lot of stamina.
....
After a few turns around the corner, I discovered a trail that suggested someone had been dragged.
Following it, I found myself face to face with a two-meter-tall bush, where the trail appeared to lead. I searched for an opening to enter.
I circled the bush and found a small crawl space, which I made my way into.
As I entered, I spotted a tree inside the bush and a giant man standing there, holding a twig on his collar—ah, yes, the classic scenario.
It was a big, muscular guy, bullying a twig man for his money, flanked by two goons.
Goon number one was tall and thin, with terrible teeth that were bizarrely colored gold.
Goon number two had a fat build and looked like a pregnant dog, likely the type who called the big guy "boss" or something similar.
I took one good look for a moment before moving.
I went behind the two goons and tied their shoelaces to their hands, to their backs, and wrapped them around their legs. Then I kicked them in the nuts, twice.
After that, I grabbed the victim and moved him to the side for his protection.
Looking at the bully, a well-built muscle, evil crossed my mind. I didn't know why it came to me, but I went in search of any sharp weapon for the three of them.
I looked in the goon's pocket and found a small knife. Holding it in my hand, I glanced at the boss's body and sliced his skin, opening small cuts on his body.
Then I punched those cuts I made multiple times and kicked him in the nuts five times in a row.
When I was done, I searched the three pockets and found myself staring at five gold coins, twenty-five silver coins, and seventy copper coins.
I'm not that greedy, so I only took ten copper coins and five silver coins for my trouble.

After that, I left the place and went back to the bench I was sitting on before.
I looked at the frozen birds flying in the sky and glanced to my side where the system panel was hovering mid-air, waiting for me to do something.
When time stopped, it appeared beside me, but I ignored it entirely.
Now that I've finished hunting for money, I looked at the system details.
[As the only Earthling in this world, you can manipulate and control your status window the way you want—one time. Please adjust your status window to the way you want it to be.]
Looking at the system's words of advice I didn't hesitate to change the way my status window looks.
I don't have a problem with how the status looks, but the stats or attributes are annoying to see every time, so I'll adjust that.
Instead of the points system, I'll make it into a level system, for every ten points in my stats is one level.
My age being shown is stupid so let's erase that. And replace it with exp requirements but with a percentage instead of points. Math is not my greatest subject.
There was a gap in my name, level, age, and class. So let's put those two together. Then put a gap between the AP, SP, and titles to make it clean.
What else is there for me to change? If I remember correctly, there are a total of nine stats but all compress together, so let's put which type they are.
I think that's it for now. Then let's call for it.
"Status!"

... Overpowered, if I say so. So this is it?
Hello? System anything else for me? No way, this entire thing is just me adjusting my status.
No additional skills, unique skills, or anything like that! Shit, this is a scam.
