How to rationally start moving that huge pile of gold coins, Lee Kiwook added in his heart.
Elarion's face showed the expression of "now that's more like it", and without any hint of reservation, he shared earnestly, "You can use your magic to earn money! It'll even help improve your magic proficiency! Like for me, I use Light Magic, I seal it into crystal stones and make Lumen Charm to sell. Lots of believers and adventurers need them."
"I remember you're a fire element mage…" Elarion thought for a moment, his eyes lighting up. "You could make cinder flasks to sell! I saw tons of rangers on the street looking to buy those last time. A single flask filled with rich fire energy can sell for a silver coin! Sell ten and you've got a gold coin!"
But Lee Kiwook didn't want to save money. He wanted to get rich fast.
He paused for a moment. "What do you think about selling potions?"
Elarion looked at him in surprise. "Potions?
Uh… high-quality potions do sell for a lot. Even regular ones go for several gold coins per bottle…"
Elarion guessed that Lee Kiwook might have inherited a couple bottles of potions from his family and was thinking of selling them directly. So he tactfully reminded him, "Good potions are really rare. Selling them outright is actually a huge loss. Maybe you should hold onto them for now. If you don't have enough money, I can lend you some."
"Actually…" Lee Kiwook thought it over and turned his face slightly toward Elarion. His dark, inky eyes were unusually serious as he said, "I'm an alchemist."
"Hahahaha!" Elarion burst out laughing after hearing Lee Kiwook's words. Far from being surprised, he leaned against the carriage wall and chuckled like he'd just heard an unbelievable joke. "Then let me tell you a secret too, actually, I'm a warrior!"
Elarion simply couldn't hold back his amusement. In his worldview, a person's class aptitude was determined at birth and could never be changed.
Sure, there were things like racial talents, but those only made it slightly easier to learn potion making or alchemy. It was nowhere near enough to count as a true profession.
But what Elarion didn't expect at all was that after hearing his joke, Lee Kiwook actually gave it some serious thought and replied earnestly, "What a coincidence. I actually know some sword techniques too."
"Pfft—hahahahaha—" Elarion, who had just sat up straight, bent over again laughing. His legs nearly gave out from under him as he wiped tears from the corners of his eyes. "I always thought you were so serious, but I didn't expect you to be this funny—hahaha!"
Lee Kiwook closed his mouth and silently gave him a long ghostly stare.
Elarion laughed and laughed until he finally caught a glimpse of Lee Kiwook's expression, at which point his smile slowly faded and he began to look a bit flustered. "Ah… w-wait, seriously?"
Lee Kiwook stared at him for a moment, then curled the corner of his lips and turned to look at the scenery passing by the side of the street. "Just messing with you."
